Basically Cal was trying to talk as if he wasn't a drow (you may need to roll deception for this). Beamer may need to roll perception against the deception to see if he notices the accent difference.
(I assume what Calanon has done what most Drow who escape to the surface [Lookinf at you Drizz't] do. Cover themselves from head to toe in wraps, leather, and gloves. Beamer should not know there is a Drow among you all. Unless there was a roll or Calanon gave it away in a post I missed.)
(Viclas and Calanon)
Before I rule on Viclas's Insight I will either need a deception or persuasion roll from Calanon.
(After this bit of RP you all will arrive at town and I will continue the story.)

(Ignore that post please. Someone at home got a hold of either my laptop or tablet while I am at work. I just had to change my password. Also they exited me out of this and another campaign. Sorry about this.)
OOC: 1. Did I miss something with beamer how does he now Cal is a drow, 2. Insight can be used for more then just telling lies *hehehe*
Viclas moves along with Wilword "so you know magic, interesting, what can you tell me about where you learned magic, if you don't mind"
I come from a long line of magic users. My parents travel a lot writing about weather patterns of the land. I am more of the reader so instead of going with them I got a job at the Candlekeep library.
(Ignore that post please. Someone at home got a hold of either my laptop or tablet while I am at work. I just had to change my password. Also they exited me out of this and another campaign. Sorry about this.)
(I am pretty sure it was either my brother or my other roommate who is being pissy for some reason. I will post properly as soon as I can unless I need to wait or if this gets me ousted, which is understandable for the problems this causes.)
(Calanon was just wearing a hood so really if someone simply looks close enough they will be able to see his a drow. He was cocky enough to think he could hide in plain sight. What he said is part of the true reason why he is in the town. He was there to make contact with the lady by helping out with anything that she needed done He is a mercenary that specializes as a thief as is needed. If I thought about it I would have made a him a faction member as his background, this being due to the fact he is part of a male led drow mercenary band. But if needed I can have him roll for deception unless it is ok for them to think he is just keeping a bit to himself.)

“Interesting, I’ve never studied sorcerer in great degree but it does interest me, the fact a bloodline can offer power rival to years of advanced study is truly fascinating in my opinion”

As you all approach the town, you hear the ringing of a bell. The sound grows louder as Nightstone comes into view. A river flows around the settlement, forming a moat. The village itself is contained within a wooden palisade, beyond which you see a windmill, a tall steeple, and the high-pitched rooftops of several other buildings. Apart from the ringing of the bell, you detect no other activity in the village. The trail ends before a lowered drawbridge that spans the moat. Beyond the drawbridge, two stone watchtowers flank an open gap in the palisade. South of the village and surrounded by the river moat is a cone-shaped, flat-topped hill on which stands a stone keep enclosed by a wooden wall. Lady Nandar's keep, which overlooks the village, has partially collapsed. A wooden bridge that once connected the keep to the village has also partially collapsed.
(It is sunrise, soon Calanon will suffer all detriments that come with his heritage.)

Eider, Level 13 Human Abjurer Wizard - Colosseum of Conquest (11W-3L) (Tougher than he looks)
As group approach the town Jason shares a story: "Year ago I had to 'study' some witch magic on a big swamp. I was only an apprentice then. I was helping one of the higher paladins. Poor girl totally lost her soul for some long forgotten evil.." (ooc: warlock: great old one patron)
After heavy breath with soft voice "..she had deep big brown eyes, and long black hair.. she could have normal simple life.."
Back with a cold voice "she had killed my mentor with a powerful lightning blast. I remember her evil laugh. She was convicted for number of evil acts. My mentor death gave me opportunity to attack her from behind. I throw here to the ground. As i was pushing my sword deep in her body she was looking at me with her brown eyes.. Who rings that bells?"
Calanon got a layout of the village as quickly as he could, knowing that they would soon need to get into building before his eyes were affected by the light from the sun. For now all he could do was pull his hood low and hope he could keep himself in the dark as often as possible.
(What really sucks is that in the lore of Forgotten Realms outside of 5e they have items to help deal with being in the sunlight for drow...)
Viclas sighs "I'm., sorry to here that, but it still doesn't give you the right to just, accuse anyone that uses magic of being evil, divine users can become just as corrupt, there's a little bit of evil in all of us, we just fight it"
ALSO: if Calanon doesn't beat my 22(messed up the role it's a +3 not a +5) Viclas turns to Calanon and says "now there's one person left who I think should tell us some more, along with explaining that strange accent"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Calanon rolled his eyes as the half elf spoke to him like that, keeping himself calm as he stepped closer to him. "I told you all you need to know. I am not here to give my live story as it as simple as I said. I am mercenary here to make money so that I can return back to my band." He told him, switching to elvish. "Not that it should matter but my accent is due to both this not being my homeland and that common is not my native tongue. Is that hard to beleive? If you travel a tenday in any direction it is likely you will find those with an accent different from your own."
(This will probably go bad but deception time. 15)
[OOC: META GAMING based on: "that it was different then a dark elf that had spent most of their life in the Underdark" :D ]
Basically Cal was trying to talk as if he wasn't a drow (you may need to roll deception for this). Beamer may need to roll perception against the deception to see if he notices the accent difference.
[00C: good point I probably META Gamed the drow when I should not have. I'll roll perception now]
perception: 14 Did I notice anything about Calanon's accent?
Lot's of stuff ...
