(ooc: I think that is a reasonable plan however if we stay we need to stick together and not get separated. Also what are we planning on doing about the ranger?)
(OOC: I'm not sure what is happening with ShadowQueen12. She may have been booted again. I wouldn't worry about her. I have deactivated her character.)
(occ: @InkedBee…So, what do you have in mind, specifically, on trying to resolve the warehouse issue and determining the Captain’s involvement, if any? @RastilinTheThird… Any ideas on how you’d like to proceed?)
(@NOBLESAVAGE, Personally, I'm still undecided since I feel like we'll need more clues about the plot as well as details of the roadhouse. @DM, are there any other buildings adjacent to the roadhouse?)
Valek appears a bit frustrated, as he grabs the Yuan-to by the scruff of their neck and pulls them to their feet (…unless the lizard folk took the Yuan-it with them). Looking to Erephema, his tone softens just a bit, “Let’s go check it out.” With that he begins making his way towards the warehouse, carefully towing the Yuan-ti behind him.
Kalisia will use a small piece of rosewood to summon her Unseen Servant and attach neon green strings to the invisible entity. She commands the creature to help Valek with the task of dealing with the captured Yuan-ti while pulling the strings or releasing it to animate the mindless butler.
"I'll ensure the safety of our group when you interrogate the captive Yuan-ti. But if you want to rest for awhile or call it a night, please let me know, Erephema and Valek. I'll perform a ritual to mark a protected area."
Here is a picture of the Carnath Roadhouse to give you some idea of where you are. You are in the swamp about sixty feet east of the roadhouse, straight out from the warehouse (3&4).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“Thank you, Kalisia. But, I’m good. I tend to be more of a night person, anyway.” With that, Valek stops just short of the road house, before turning to the Yuan-ti. Presuming it understands Common, the Warrior-Cleric’s eyes go cold as he addresses the serpent. “Listen very carefully. Your life more than likely depends on it. Especially, if I drag you in there.” Valek head nods towards the warehouse. “Who, here, gave you the crated supplies to take back to the black dragon?” As he speaks, the shadow around Valek’s eyes seemingly darken.

"The crated supplies are for the lizardfolk," the yuan-ti explains. "I know nothing about a black dragon. My companions and I were out hunting, nothing more. No one here gave us any crates."
As you interrogate the yuan-ti, you hear sloshing footsteps coming through the swamp and see another group of lizardfolk coming to the entrance to the tunnel beneath the warehouse.
“Yet, you heard what Snapjaw told us. That your people enslave his people, bathe in blood, to make more dragon kneelers. True or untrue?” Valek takes a brief moment to gaze over the Yuan-it’s shoulder at the oncoming group of lizard folk. “And, are they coming back for something more?” Not knowing what to expect from the approaching lizard folk, the Warrior-Cleric tightens his grip on both shield and serpent. “I encourage you to answer quickly. Tell me what’s going on…while you still have the chance.”
"We do not enslave the lizardfolk or cultists. We eat them. A favored few we make our pets. The honored ones bathe in the blood to become purebloods," the yuan-ti laughs at Valek's confusion. "The dragon kneelers are nothing but food for us. And surely, these are the dragon kneeling lizardfolk come to retrieve the supplies which the rebels have already stolen."
Kalisia uses her Alchemist's Supplies to create a substance from ammonia so that it reeks of an unpleasant smell. She will imbue a little bag of sand with magical odor by dipping it into the foul smelling substance (Magical Tinkering). Finally, she will throw it towards the entrance of the tunnel to keep the newly arriving lizardfolks away from the adventurers.
"Valek, we need to remove the yuan-ti from the direct view of bystanders. Otherwise, they'll get a wrong impression about our intention and warn others."
(@Bruce_the_Barbarian, thanks for sharing the amazing floorplans of the roadhouse.)
(ooc: @InkedBee…I am definitely open to that, as an option. Hoping the rest of our party chimes in, too. 😉)
Erephema? What do you think? Do you want to stay at the roadhouse or go to the lizardfolk village?

(ooc: also, is it still the middle of the night? I am not sure how much time has passed since we walked around the back of the warehouse.)
To Kalisia, Valek and Frytos "We are here now, let's sneak into the warehouse and take a look around first. Also does anyone need healing?"
(@InkedBee, the roadhouse is the only building here. It contains all the rooms, stable, and warehouse.)
While you are discussing what to do next, the lizardfolk pick up their packages and disappear into the swamp.
(ooc: Absolutely no surprise they left. As we squabble, undecided, amongst ourselves.)

Heeding Kalisia’s advice, Valek pulls the Yuan-ti behind cover, out of view of the oncoming group. “Rebels? Explain,” Valek continues.
