"After the lizardfolk defeated the bullywugs at the castle, some continued to follow the remaining cultists," the yuan-ti explains. "Others rebelled against them."
“And those who continue to follow the remaining cultist, like the ones approaching now, have sympathetic support from the people running this warehouse?” Valek’s statement is as much a question to the Yuan-ti as a reconciling statement of internal dialogue, to himself, as he tries to piece together what’s going on.
(ooc: This is where I miss the good ol’ days of physically sitting at a table with the party, trying to puzzle out what’s going on. 😉)
"I am a bit confused as well. The lizardfolk going into the tunnel are with Snapjaw or are part of the cult? What about following the lizard people into the tunnel? We can let them know that we are working with Snapjaw. That way we can take a quick look around the warehouse and see if there are any clues to who is involved in this plot." Erephyma nods toward the Yuan-ti. "What shall we do with him? I'd prefer not to kill him if we can avoid that but is there anyone we can trust to hold him?"
(ooc: Apologies for the delayed post. It’s been a crazy week irl.)
“Presumedly, those approaching are with the cult and expecting to receive the stolen supplies. I’m not sure Snapjaw’s name would invoke trust. That is, if this one is to believed. And, I think we should check out the warehouse, as well.”
Kalisia suggests that the party should be more careful while dealing with the approaching group of lizardfolks. "I think we must take advantage of thier surprised and vulnerable conditions, then attack immediately. First strike! Their insignificant cultists souls should be squeezed out of those thick skinned physique."If some of the party members pay attention to her expression, they will find that she's determined to do such thing. So, whatever she's offering to do is credible.
“So we can attack them, reason with them or wait till they take the.crates and sneak into the warehouse. How about I approach them to reason with them allowing you two to get the jump on them if they don’t listen to reason?”
As you hide in the bushes nearby, the group of lizardfolk enter the tunnel and head up a trap door into the warehouse. A short time later, they come out empty-handed.
Kalisia will let Erephyma speak with the lizardfolks first in a civilized manner. But, she stays alert in case something unexpected happens during the conversation. Thus, she will prepare herself to cast Poison Spray anytime.
Erephyma steps out of the bushes and bows to the lizardfolk "Hail friends, I am Erephyma, druid of the Circle of the Swamplands. I have been told that there are dangerous Yuan-ti about terrorizing the lizardfolk in the area and have been sent to help. What can you tell me about them and where can I find their lair?"
If possible, Erephyma raises her hands in the universal "I am no threat" sign and takes a step back.
(ooc: one of my languages is telepathy, can I use that? This may be a dumb question but using telepathy would I still be using common tongue in their head?)

"Yes," the yuan-ti replies. "I suspect that is so."
(Me, too. I could use a regular tabletop RP game.)

“That is my preference but I will follow your lead”

Do you want to attack the lizardfolk or try to speak with them first?

Okay, Erephyma. You step out of the bushes. How do you greet the lizardfolk?
(occ: @DM…do we a sense as to how often supply deliveries come through the warehouse?)
(OOC: The supply caravans come through about twice a week, every three or four days. Some come from Neverwinter and others come from Waterdeep.)
The lead lizardfolk looks at you in surprise, says something angrily in his language, and points his javelin at you.
Roll initiative.
