Roxaria shivers, exhausted. “Unless someone has a better plan, we gotta set up camp here. We can’t go on. Let’s tie in the tents together.” She drops her heavy pack and begins unrolling her tent halves. She’ll help connecting hers to the other party’s tents to create a makeshift yurt to hold the whole party. “Reginald, if you could provide some light just long enough until we can get the tents tied in and secured, that would be great.”
She continues working until all the tent halves are connected and secured together. Roxaria forces down a cold, dry ration with some water.

Before resigning to camping in the wide open arctic environment, Kha stops and scans their surroundings in the hopes of locating something that could provide the group some shelter. "My clan...?"he says in response to Roxaria as he looks to the darkened horizon. "Yeah, they know that I have left to find those that betrayed and killed others of our village. I hope they would welcome me back for delivering justice to those traitors."He drops his tent from his back. "What about you? What's home got in store for you when you return?"
“I think when my tour with the Glass Blades is up, I’d like to settle back home, I think. Maybe take over the Inn when father retires.”
Roxaria starts connecting their tent halves together. “Not to say this hasn’t been a wild ride. It surely has. I just don’t know if I want to be a Glass Blade my entire life. I suppose I could just be a freelance, but is there really that much of a demand for it?”
Roxaria stakes down the make-shift tent/yurt into the frozen ground. “On the other hand, Kha, if you’re wanting some help finding those traitors, I’d be glad to stick by your side.”
Roxaria backs up satisfied with the hard work and looks at it. “Probably as best we can get this. We should all get in. Reginald, I rigged the roof to allow smoke to filter out. If you could start up a little fire for a short bit so we can all warm up. Then, I think we can all get some rest and bundle up in our blankets.”
Roxaria steps inside with her pack, claims a spot in the floor and lays her bedroll out and piles her blankets on top and uses her pack as a lumpy, uncomfortable pillow.
Reginald will use the drift orb to provide light as he sets up a fire ring to mark the Bonfire as the others set up the tents around it.
"I agree that we should warm up for an hour or so. Then stay close to maintain communal heat. We should also have our members with night vision take watch so we don't have the Drift Orb revealing our location to potential enemies. I will take the first watch for two hours while maintaining the Bonfire."
The youngster then settles in to concentrate on the cantrip while making notes on today's events in his book.
“Excellent idea, Reginald.” Roxaria says, yawning. “I’ll take next watch.” She bundles up and curls up as tight as possible under her blankets to conserve heat.
Roxaria is sitting upright in the tent nestled in her blanket pulled around her when she hears something in the distance. She perks up and pulls the blanket off her head. She hears it again. She gently nudges the snoring Kha just enough to stir him, but not fully awake. She speaks quietly near his ear, “I’ll be right back. I’m going to check on something outside. Stay warm.”
Roxaria bundles up and does her best to minimize opening the tent to keep as much warmth inside as possible. She walks about ten paces away from the tent, watching her warm breath vaporize into clouds. The High Elf looks across the black landscape in the direction she thought the bird calls were coming from.
In the gloom of night you see 3 griffons who are injured. They recoil a bit at the sight of Roxaria, but can't seem to fly. 1 of them does its best to shield the others wary of Roxaria.
Roxaria slowly takes five steps closer, realizing this could go good or bad depending on their temperament. “Hey girls…you okay?” She stretches an arm with her hand open to show no malice towards them and stops to gauge their reaction.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Roxaria knows not to remove the arrows as that will open the wounds. She looks at the blood around the arrows to see if this was a recent engagement or if they’ve been emedded awhile. Next, she looks at the arrow fletching itself to see if she can identify anything about it:
Home made arrow or Manufactured?
Does it belong to goblins, orcs, some other group?
"Huh..? What's that now?" Kha rubs his eyes as he comes awake. "Heal beasts.. Yeah. What's going on, Roxy?" The orc crawls out of the bedroll and quickly pulls on his heavy coat.
Roxaria leads Kha to the wounded griffons outside. “Here, look. That one’s been hit with several arrows. I don’t know if it can fly or not.”
Roxaria looks around to see if there are any indications of a hunter nearby. “I’m not sure who or what shot at it, but it happened recently on my watch.”

Kha does not see any better camping sight than where they are currently,

Nothing eventful happens on Reginald's watch
Roxaria on your watch you hear several bird calls in the distance. It sounds like they are in pain.

Animal Handling: 19
The Griffons relax a little letting Roxaria come closer. On closer inspection you see several arrows peppering the griffons.
Medicine check to determine how old wound is: 14
Investigation check to identify arrow: 10
The wounds look fresh and the arrows fletching are all the same.
It seems unlikely that goblins or orcs would use these arrows. It loos like a common arrow bought at market
“I know someone who can help you, girl. Stay right here.”
Roxaria goes back to the tent and nudges Kha, “Wake up, Kha. Can you heal beasts? I have a favor to ask.”
"Huh..? What's that now?" Kha rubs his eyes as he comes awake. "Heal beasts.. Yeah. What's going on, Roxy?" The orc crawls out of the bedroll and quickly pulls on his heavy coat.
