Toot floats back a little and casts Flaming Sphere next to the mimic.

She then rams it into the creature.

 Feldoran hides behind a barrel and shoots his bow

 The mimic lunges forward and attempts to bite Thomas

Attack: 12 Damage: 6

Round 2 : 13 vs 21

It bites again! Attack: 13 Damage: 6

 Thomas retaliates casting Bane on the mimic.

It resists.

 Elandra continues to slice into the mimic.

Scimitar Attack: 12 Damage: 8 

Scimitar Attack: 19 Damage: 7  + 1

 Anders fumbles for his crossbow and fires it at the mimic.

Crossbow Attack: 13 Damage: 6

"Burn it to a crisp Toot!" (Bardic Inspiration).

 Toot smiles as her sphere burns into the mimic.

The feeling she had earlier about the magic of this place comes back stronger now as she feels her spell reacting to the weave nearby. Tiny, insubstantial motes of light circle her, shedding bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet.

She raises the sphere and slams it into the mimic again being careful to keep its heat away from Elandra and Thomas.

She then casts magic missile

As she casts several of the motes of light float in to touch her skin and she begins to turn a vibrant shade of blue.

"Guys this is getting a bit weird."

 Stealth 26

 Feldorans arrow sinks deep.

The mimic roars in sudden shock and the with a violent shudder it leans and then topples forward dead.

 Father Thomas slumps back to sit on a nearby barrel.

"So the King is not mad after all."

 "Oh he's mad alright, he just isn't wrong."

 Thomas spends a moment to patch up his wounds.

 Elandra wraps a rope around he mimic corpse.

As the group leave the chamber she drags it behind them leaving a bloody trail across the floor.

 They make their way back through Gnomengarde back to the Kings bedroom door.

Thomas knocks and waits. After several moments the now familiar voice of King Korboz comes from within.

"Yes what is it?"

"We have found your shapeshifter and killed it." Thomas replies.

"How do we know it is not a trick?" replies the King.

 "Because we dragged its body back here to show you, your majesty."

"Lies! I know your tricks shape shifter and I will not let you in."

 Thomas motions for them to go back.

They head back to the throne room and make for the secret entrance.

 "You go ahead Feldoran." (Bardic Inspiration)

Anders pulls an eyelash encased in gum arabic from his pouch and slaps it down onto the dwarfs shoulder, casting invisibility.

 Stealth 24 + 4

 Korboz and Gnerkli do not see him enter as he pads across the room invisible and silent. He makes his way to Gnerkli and slowly begins to untie the bound King. Gnerkli catches on to what is happening and looks down with wide eye. "Shhh I am here to help!" Feldoran whispers into the gnomes ear.

 King Korboz whirls around to look at Gnerkli .

"What did you say?" he demands.

"I said... they were probably here to help."

Gnerkli is still confused but thinks fast. "Why on earth did you have to glue me to the chair as well as bind me Korboz?" Letting Feldoran know that untying the knotts will not be enough to loose him. He goes on...

"Come on, take the solvent from you robe pocket and release me."

 Taking his cue from the bound King Feldoran approaches Korboz.

Stealth 25

As Korboz continues to rant and pace up and down Feldoran tries to pick pocket the solvent. 

Sleight of Hand 18

His hand snags on the kings pocket and the gnome screams out in terror!

"Aaaagh no a ghost, I am being attacked.... save me!"

Feldoran scrambles back cursing under his breath just as the secret door bursts open and the other run in.
