So Orun, what do you think? I mean, you're a wizard right? That old man gives of a strong magical aura, but I can't get a specific school of magic from him. I was thinking... it could be that he has multiple spells or curses on him... or he could be a powerful magical being in its own right...
Aleppo notices nothing weird, or interesting about the puddles, except for the fact that they seem almost black... too dark for normal water in this lighting.

But if he is... what does he need us for?
Orun takes a moment to think of plausible reasons why someone could emit. “There’s always the possibility he has some enchanted item, but seeing as how he’s a man who claims to be from a land I thought only existed In stories and shortly after we met up with him things took a very quick turn for the strange, but I can’t speak of that with certainty so I’ll move on to what it is he wants. Assuming he’s been nothing but honest since we’ve met him this Madam Eva is an oracle of some sort who believes we have a destiny we must fulfill in relation to the land of Barovia and it’s cursed ruler, almost every question we’ve asked has been deflected by him saying madam Eva has the answers and leaving it at that, so either he’s withholding information or he genuinely doesn’t know, frankly I’m at the point where I’m just going to wait to meet this woman seeing as how she has all the answers but I’ll let you know if I remember anything pertinent to the story I know.”
“Stanimir if you would actually like to answer a question instead of putting it off for your madam to deal with could you tell if I’m right in thinking this Eva is the Oracle of the pool?”
Stanimir turns towards you, and says: "You are quite perceptive, and you remember the story well. That will help in your journey. Unfortunately, Madam Eva is not the Oracle of the Pool, for that was her mother. Fortunately, Madam Eva inherited her mother's oraclic prowess, and is an even more powerful oracle than her mother was."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
A bit surprised Orun asked further questions. “That brings up another concern, how long has this all been going on for? Your princes curse, the dead land, the walking dead who if I interpreted what you said in the right way are frequent enough for you too consider them pests at most, the fact that the story I know of has been circulating at least longer then I’ve been alive, at least long enough to for a new generation to be raised considering your Oracles daughter took over.”
While voicing some of the questions that have been on his mind Orun takes a moment to see if he can recall the now cursed rulers name.
"Well, now that I think about it, I think we've been at this for, what, over 2,000 years? But after a while you lose count, you know?" He then laughs, well knowing that Orun wouldn't understand.
You recall that the cursed ruller's name starts with an s, but nothing more.
Orun exhales an exasperated breath “You want me to believe that you’ve lived for two millennia fine we’ll add to the list of strange happenings but can you at least tell me your lords name I only seem to recall it starting with an S, also if you can say anything about his curse that would be helpful.”
Hawker lets out a long groan. "And this land then, has been like this for as long? There's something terribly wrong with the brush here... I wouldn't go looking for food out there, you may find the plants may want to eat you."
Justin, you recall a devilish spell that is a demon pact. If a ruler of some kind makes this deal, they live forever, with their subject trapped in a separate dimension with them, unable to leave unless the ruler allows them.

Aleppo shivers in the deathly breeze, eyes darting all about. He will investigate 12 one of these dark puddles...

Aleppo notices nothing weird, or interesting about the puddles, except for the fact that they seem almost black... too dark for normal water in this lighting.

History roll to see if I recall Stanimir being a name that came up in the story Orun knows.

You notice that most of the foliage is dead around you, though they don't seem to be in any stage of decomposition. It's like they're zombie plants.

You do not recall hearing Stanimir's name in the story, but you do recall a person referred to as the "Oracle of the Pool".

Oracle of the Pool... that title intrigues Aleppo. Any knowledge of it? (History: 4)
Ouch... perhaps not.

OOC: Yeah... I think you already know the answer to that :P

Let's not piss off the 2000 year old powerfull magical being... too much...
Does Lyger know anything about magical beings that can live for 1000s of years? History check: 22

<<OOC: whoops, I meant Lyger of course (I won't edit the post bc is messes up my rolls)>>
A sudden realisation hits Lyger and his face pales a bit. Lyger tuns to Hawker and Orun and whispers:
I think I might know what going on here... Do you know what a demon pact spell is?
