Working with what they have, the group is disguised well enough, with the exception of sep, whose cloak is a bit too billowy to properly conceal his neck. He has to bunch it up with one fist to properly cover the bruised, raw flesh around his neck. Rhiv's neck is covered, but this comes with the additional effect of the warrior looking like he spent too long around the backside of a particularly tall horse. Of course, his appearance was already wild enough that such a look isn't exactly out of his wheelhouse, and he sports it quite nicely. Barbariancore isn't really a popular style at the moment, but with time it might make a comeback, and Rhiv will have been ahead of his time.
(If I read correctly, the plan is to head to the city?)

The city's walls soon loom before you. From where you stand, there are two entrances, one small one leading up to the hill and whatever lurks beyond it, and a much larger one off in the distance that leads inland, and soon winds away and disappears. There is also a relatively wide river running through the city and under the wall through a large grate.

Alcazar looks to the others, "Shall we boldly announce ourselves and plead for aid, shouting that the dead have arisen?" He adopts a fear-stricken visage, glancing hastily around wide-eyed.
"Or shall we skulk in the darkness, like creatures of the night?" He seems to enjoy imagining both prospects, and spends a moment sizing up his companions, "So long as one or two of you linger near the back, I dare say we should manage the former with great aplomb. As to the latter? I can skulk with the best of them, if needs be."

Daugherty suggests they take the closer, smaller gate. “If they see the dead rising and close everything, we probably want to be on the inside, yes?” “Let’s avoid people without looking like we’re avoiding people. Act casual, look and listen from a distance and try to get a sense of what’s going on,” he suggests.

Haleigh, still nervous from their recent change isn't so emboldened to be able to enter the city the way Alcazar first suggests and her eyes go wide with even the mention of it, though one eye looks off towards the city like it is disobeying her thoughts and really does want to do what the man says.
"I'd rather try and sneak it? See what is going on so we can make a plan on what to do? We are all over the place at the moment, not knowing what happened to us, not knowing if the people of the town know that undead have risen, not knowing what the fires we noticed within the city walls are all about. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'd like to know something other than we are all upright again."
Since that is how she is going to approach the walls, Stealth check 16
"Skulking it is then!" Alcazar turns his coat inside out so the buttons and gold brocade do not catch the light, then makes ready to follow Daugherty.
"As to your questions, madame, I think you will find that our peculiar situation is not a local phenomenon. I'd wager that all the tombs and mausoleums of the wealthy and influential have now burst asunder, and Uncle Theodore and his Great Grandma are once more out and about." He chuckles, "No doubt some will be seeking revenge for their untimely ending."
Despite his words, Alcazar is clearly not in the mood for skulking. Perhaps it is the strange revived body making him more clumsy, or perhaps he feels some need to celebrate his dark resurrection, and creeping in the tradesmans entrance is just beyond the pale.
As they approach, the party does not notice anybody atop the wall. The gate is closed. However, the closer they get, the clearer it seems that some sort of altercation took place here. There are several gashes in the wood, and a broken glade is lodged in the gate. Someone was evidently trying to futilely chop down the door with a sword. There are a couple sets of footprints, some of them irregular, others more ordered, though rather deep. They lead east, around the wall in the direction of the larger entrance.

"I guess we should have expected them to be closed, what with all the undead about, eh?" Alcazar speaks quietly, his voice tinged with amusement, as he glances around. His gaze settles on the gate, and he tries to sense any guards on the parapets, or nearby light from behind it.
"Someone has already tried a frontal assault, it seems, so our options include traipsing all the way to the main gate. or something more subtle." He settles into the shadows, letting out a theatrical and complete;y unnecessary breath. "Suggestions, anyone? I might be able to get to the top of the wall, but there may be guards on the other side, and who knows what would happen were they were to die."
@DM: Any sign of guards and can he see through the gate (is it barred, or solid)?
“Are you sure it’s locked? Maybe it’s just jammed a bit…” Daugherty suggests as he slips in front of the door and starts examining it. “Hmmm, maybe with a bit of elbow grease…”
In all his pushing and shoving, Daugherty casts Knock while he bangs his shoulder dramatically into it… “Ahhh now, that should do it!”
Seeing the door open to the gate that they were standing at, Haleigh turns to Sep, "Shall we just try going through this one? The ones that tried to get in and went to the main gate, well, not sure we want to run into them quite yet."

(( Assuming the gate is open ))
As the loud knocking sound emanates from the gate, followed by the slow creak of movement in the oversized hinges, Alcazar raises one eyebrow and nods to Daugherty. "That works, " he says with a grin.
He looks ready to march through the gate then stops himself, remembering that the intent was to remain unseen. With a sigh he glances at his companions, waiting for one more suited to such things to investigate. "I shall...ah...keep a look out here, just for a moment."
Warily, he peers through the gap in the gate as well as at their immediate surrounds, but remains ready to move hastily though the gate once his companions have done so.

Haleigh watches as Alcazar hesitates at the door. When he decides to post at the gate till the rest are through, she gives him a slight nod and sneaks through the gate, checking out her surroundings as soon as she is through.
Assuming the Knock spell worked, Daugherty will pause for a moment listening, trying to tell is the loud knocking of the spell casting brought unwanted attention to their location or not. If all seems at least as quiet as it was before the spell, he'll slip between the gates and enter the city cautiously and eyes casting about, wary of danger in every corner. They weren't liked here. They were killed because of the people here... No reason to get cocky now.
(Sorry for the inactivity, been busy with a musical I'm in)
There is a dull thump behind the door, and it swings open slowly. It is heavy, but it still budges with enough force. Inside, the town is quiet. Small, dingy houses lie piled together, doors and windows shut. There doesn't seem to be anyone around at the moment, and an eerie silence hangs over the whole place. One of the columns of smoke spotted earlier looks to be rising from nearby, around the bend. There is a secondary wall a good ways into the town, atop which a few moving specks can be spotted.
Perception checks, please.
