"Where are 'ey?" Demands a voice down the hall, all-too recognizable. There is a reply from one of the councilors, but it is too soft to hear over the crowd's clamour. It doesn't seem to please the troublemaker, however, as he starts up again, "Ye had your votes; 'e born banamathr die, it's as simple's that, now stand aside!"
Rising to be heard above the crowd this time, the familiar voice of the head councilor declares, "The council has heard the case of Thayvudd Korvus and the strangers and has decided they are not born banamathr. Anyone who takes action against them will be punished according to the law. Leave, now, return to your homes." The clamour dies down at this. From Archibald's position near the door he can see that a good number of the angry faces start to lose their heat, a handful of people turn to leave.
Seeing that his mob is losing its momentum, the trouble-making villager shoves past the councilors, spitting, "'et out of my way, ye old crone!"
There aren't a lot of options for weapons in the council chamber. The wooden chairs could be broken into parts or used as they are, and the lantern-hooks along the wall might be pried out and used to bludgeon someone, but the council might look poorly on destroying their furniture.
Aluve is taken aback a little when Branch charges him and hugs him. He smiles with relief that everyone is ok and takes a moment to hug her back. "I am glad you guys made it. " Aluve hears the commotion made by the irate village in the hallway.
"Come on, lets get into position, I know we dont have weapons but if it's just a few we can take them the old fashioned way."
He moves quickly to a spot beside the door waiting in place to attempt to grab him when he steps through.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Archibald is going to try to knock this fellow down and drag him into the council chambers to be beaten/lectured at will. He's had enough of bob the mob leader
Branch watches with growing trepidation as the man searches for them in the room full of people. She doesn't have her weapons, but she does have spells... though she is a bit hesitant to use magic around all these people that were wary of them as it was. She breathes a small sigh of relief though as Archibald goes to tackle the man.
The man crosses the threshold, immediately spotting Aluve standing next to the door. He hisses some curse and moves to raise a cudgel but Archibald is on him in a flash. The much more experienced fighter smashed the villager's nose with an open palm and takes a handful of his hair, dragging him bodily into the center of the room. Witnessing the attack on their leader, the two lackeys that had been nipping at his heels all day raise their own cudgels, but seem unwilling to charge into the room and Aluve's reach.
"Ye b'stard!" Hisses the man amid the pained grunts and blood now flowing freely from his nose. "Get offa me!"
"You tried to have a mob lynch a group of total strangers for no other reason than because you are an ******* with more shit stains in his pants than teeth in his mouth!"
"So no. I will not get off of you until either a: you apologize or b: you run out of teeth for me to kick in."
He glares at the others with the cudgels.
"You'd better get over here, too, if you need some teeth removed while I'm at it."
Branch watches to see what will happen next, looking over to the ones that were in the room originally to see how they are reacting to this development.
"Don't listen to 'em!" Spits the villager, but from beneath Archibald's boot it doesn't have the kind of affect he was hoping for. His two companions, quickly losing their nerve, remain rooted to their position. One of them even lowers his weapon, and tosses it a few feet away. "Please, man, just let 'im go. We'll all go back to 'r homes and that'll be 'e end of it, yea?" As he talks, the rest of the mob slowly trickles into the hallway behind them, but none of them look as eager to charge in now either, seeing their ringleader so firmly stuck, futilely flailing in a pretty pathetic attempt to free himself.
Aluve stands tall, confident and fulfilled with the feeling of trust he has for his friends.
"The issue we have here friends is that this man seems to have a real problem with us........ and my Lord Archibald here has quite the temper....especially when you have not only insulted him, but our entire company when we have done nothing to harm any of you. If you recall we even approached unarmed and in good faith. We will not tolerate this disrespect any longer. We have the councils permission to be here and have come to an agreement with those who should rightfully run this town. How can you assure us this man will not continue to try and incite violence and hate against us? How is it you can follow such a pitiful excuse of a lifeform? Just look at him........"
Seeing that they just entered the room, Branch isn't really sure who the council is or who are the supposed leaders of this crazy town. But she stares down the two companions, making sure they don't all the sudden decide to help the man under Archibald.
As Aluve concludes, the duo by the door, and the crowd around them, do indeed turn their gaze to the ne'er-do-well under Archibald's foot. As they are watching, the young man's flailing finally catches Archibald off-guard, a fist connecting with the back of the more experienced fighter's knee. Inspired by their leader's successful attack, the lackey who hadn't thrown his weapon away crosses the threshold, swinging his wooden weapon in an arc at Aluve.
Branch gets pissed as she sees the turn of events and the ones that just said they were going to go home, now attack Aluve. Seeing Archibald get the upper hand of his assailant, Branch turns to the one that attacked Aluve and casts Hideous Laughter WIS save 12
(If the spell Is successful) After taking a hit from the wooden cudgel, Aluve shakes it off and watches as the man falls to the ground with laughter. Aluve seizes the opportunity to grab the cudgel and take it from the man arming himself he then brings the cudgel down hard onto the prone man.
Attack: 12 × 4 = 16
Damage: 4 + 2 = 6
(If the spell doesnt work)
Aluve attempts a big right hook at the mans face
Attack: 11 + 4 = 15
Damage : 3.

Aluve smirks at Archibalds quick action and his clever remarks.
"Come on in gentlemen. Dont loose your nerve now"
Aluve gestures for the men to come in from the hallway.

Archibald holds a fist ready to start collecting teeth. "That didn't sound like an apology, turd for brains."
