Nexus was quiet while the group found a inn for the evening, a slight nod of her head in thankfulness toward Morin as they dropped the coins on the counter. But her brows knit together for a moment, her gaze settling on the tiefling she felt was familiar. Was that----It seemed it was!
Wait, did Morin' know them as well? Well, it'd be rude to interrupt their interaction with her own things, so she'd wait her turn.

Shayone will pass along to the innkeeper what Thelyss said about the Watch covering room and board, but she's halfway distracted, looking around to see what's changed, who's around that she recognizes.

Kalhala enters with the rest and is glad when Shayone mentions that the Watch is covering room and board, and waits to hear that it is hopefully well received. He notices Nexus's excitement directed towards a tiefling at another table and then sees Mornin head over. "Nexus, who is that woman?"
In the meantime he looks to see if he knows anyone or if there are any from the Watch here.
As the barkeep moves to fulfill Mornin's order, the tiefling looks up in surprise. "Oh! It's you! Wow, you're still alive! That's great! You were in a pretty bad way when I found you, so I'm glad that it's helped!" She exclaims. Then her eyes shift to Nexus and light up. "Nexus! Oh my gods, it's been so long! It's so good to see you! How are you? Wait, do you know this big guy? Did you two come in together? With that group?"
Shayone and Kalhala both look around the bar and spot someone they recognize: Maryl Bronzefang, the orc soldier Kalhala beat in the arm wrestling competition back in Jigow and one of Shayone's old comrades-in-arms! She's seated with her back facing the entrance, so she hasn't spotted either of you yet.
To Kalhala, with a small smile on her lips while she waited for Morning to interact with her, answered under her breath. "An associate of mine, taught me quite a lot, and part of the organization I hope to join someday." When Question shifted attention to her, Nexus smiled sheepishly and gave a little wave. "Hi! Yea, I did! You may remember Kalhala a bit---but the rest of my companions I met during the most recent festival. As for how I am---Mm. A little shaken, truth be told. Seems Ayo went and got herself hurt defending some people from those....things."
Her voice trails off for a moment, remembering the enemies they fought. Even as scholarly as she was, she did have to admit to herself that she didn't feel quiet as eager to study them as she might be to study other creatures and events.
"Oh no, Ayo's hurt? I hope she recovers soon... I heard that attack was pretty brutal, but I'm glad you're okay. Hey Kalhala, long time no see! Small world that you all would come across Mornin. It's a long story, but we go back a bit too! Oh, I'm doing well! Living in Ank'harel has been nice, but being here in this place... is so fascinating. The history of this place and the present. The romance of heroes fighting against impossible odds, sacrificing everything for the sake of defending the world. All done for people who would never know them, never think of them, never be able to thank them. Simply because it was the right thing to do. And ages later, we now see the Aurora Watch somehow doing the same. Mythic resonance, conflicts from long past still echoing here and affecting the present. It's incredible!"
Some of the Aurora Watch look a bit annoyed at Question's observation, but they just grumble among themselves. Question talks, she sets her opened sketchbook down on the bar. Anyone nearby can see the contents of the pages she's left open: it's a rough drawing of what appears to be a more elaborate version of the Jewel of Three Prayers. It's larger and has three delicate spires inlaid with precious stones. Below it is a sketch of an island bathed in the moonlight of Catha and Ruidus, both full. The island is covered with trees, marble pillars, and crystal shards and resembles the final chamber in the Emerald Grotto where you all found the Jewel.
Mornin suddenly forces a finger on the drawing of the vestige. "That. That is why we are here. We want to talk to you about that. But we should maybe be somewhere private."
You can't drown someone with Create Water. If your lungs are containers than your bones are objects. Any Siege monster that attacks you deals double damage because it’s attacking your bones.
"Wait, you mean..."Question picks up the book and points at the drawing of the Jewel. "This? How do you know about this lost Vestige? I've been studying it Ank'harel and I followed what information I could find here... Do you know about it? We can take this outside, if you want! Maybe it will finally help me crack this mystery!"
"Yes, Nexus, we-" Mornin is cut off by the sound of his stomach growling. "Um. Didn't realize how hungry I am. What's taking that fish bowl so long?"

"Well, it's sort of a communal situation rather than an individual room one downstairs, so there's not much privacy anyway... but either way, let's head downstairs and chat,"Question says as she finishes her fish bowl and leaves some copper on the bar. At the moment of Mornin's statement, the drow innkeeper slides a fish and rice bowl over to him. "There ya go, enjoy!"
Question heads down the lift with Nexus and Mornin and moves over to one of the cots in the corner - likely hers. She sits down, opens her notebook to the page with the Jewel's sketch, and looks between the two of you with an excited grin. "So... what can you tell me about the Jewel?" She murmurs.
Meanwhile, Maryl Bronzefang has come to the bar for another fish bowl and catches a glance at Shayone and Kalhala. "Well, well! We meet again, Shayone! We tried to keep the place tidy for you, but you know how easily things get messy around here... And here's Kalhala the Arm-Wrestling Champ of Jigow, too! Welcome to Bazzoxan. Heard your group joined the Watch in a scrap with some monsters? Pretty damn brave of you... Looks like your two friends are going off somewhere, if you wanna join them, go ahead, but find me afterward if you wanna talk!"
"Well Nexus can probably remember more details than me, but we found it in a cave, and when we touched it we saw a vision of a man who wanted us to find him, and made mention of a temple of evil, which is why we're here."

Nexus, unsure whether or not she's heard anything of the sort before herself, tries to recall any information that may be relevant to the question Question posed. She's read a lot of books, and done plenty of studying and from the memories of the event that gifted the item to them. "If I recall correctly, when we had this vision, a man by the name Alyxian was mentioned. Something about prayer, and freeing him, and going to a temple where he prayed to the change bringer in a temple of evil. The chief of Jigow then sent us this way, believing it important we arrive here."
Nexus pauses for a moment, bringing her spellbook up to mimic the casting of 'Alter Self', when really she's just making use of her own natural ability to shapeshift as a changeling to appear more like the figure they saw in their shared vision. Even adjusting her voice to match, though she looked a mite uncomfortable doing so initially.
"This is what they looked like, and sounded like, far as I can recall."
Kalhala gives a hearty laugh as Maryl welcomes him and calls him a champ. "Why thanks! Good to see you here as well, and yes, better head up with the others, but a drink later?"
He heads up to find Mornin and Nexus, takes a seat and lets the others start the chat. As Nexus changes though, his jaw drops. "Whoa, Nexus, that's uncanny! That's exactly how I remember them as well!"

"Outside may be less private then a room, Question----Not really something to discuss openly, I'm sure you understand."
As Mornin' had already let the cat out of the bag, Nexus figured getting some more information was the next best course of action.
"Yes, Nexus, we-" Mornin is cut off by the sound of his stomach growling. "Um. Didn't realize how hungry I am. What's taking that fish bowl so long?"
