"Follow the smells huh, thanks Gorf." Sasha says smiling, nodding to Luke that she is finished with their prisoner, for now. She then joins Rik and the others. "Mikel is supposed to be in the kitchen, according to Gorf we will be able to smell our way there." She says with a smirk. (Perception to smell her way to the kitchen: 9 )
Rikaria responds to Gerty and Sasha, still shaking, saying "Tooootally fine, nothing to worry about. Let's just keep plunging into this goblin-infested well where it's safe."
She peers down into the three different hallways and clanks her pans, shouting in her soldierly voice "That's right, once we find these green-skins we've got a dozen men down here and dozens more up top! We'll barbeque 'em alive and feed their bones to the pigs! That is, unless they want to MAKE A TRADE FOR THE BOY of course! Then we'd consider leavin' them alone!!! Ain't that right, Lieutenant Gerty!?"
As you form up at the intersection using all your senses you determine a direction to head. Sasha is able to pick up a subtle scent of food being cooked, some kind of stew she thinks. It’s actually has a pleasant scent. The goblin cook must be good, who would have thought. The smell is coming from the right corridor heading down the stairs.
Sasha:
Sasha, as you start to suggest going right, you feel a sudden, overwhelming urge to go left. The stairs heading seem to be more important to you. Your oak wand feels as if it is tugging that way, almost pulling out of your sash on its own
You all hear something echoing through the corridors, not quite able to determine which direction the sound is coming from. It sounds oddly like a wolf. You can tell it isn’t close yet, it it sends chills up your spines. You see a look of terror cross Gorfs face and he whispers loudly, “Bidderboo…..oh noes, we going to be slayed…that will be twice slaying of poor Gorf..”
"This way feels...right somehow." Sasha says, taking up her oaken wand from her belt and starting to walk towards the stairs. "Yes, this is the way..."
This is the second time you have heard the bidderboos mentioned. You all believed the bidderboo was a fictional beast used to scare children into behaving. Just a fairy tale. The stories tell of Bidderboo Harpell back in 1350 being accidentally transformed into a dog for 7 years. After he eventually found a way to change himself back, he discovered on the following full moon he transformed into a silver werewolf and killed a servant. He fled the Ivy mansion to The solace of the woods. His pack has grown since those long ago times. Some stories say the bidderboos protect Longsaddle and others say they feast upon all they encounter. Nobody knows how many there are, but most mysterious disappearances and events are attributed to them.
Apparently, one or more has found their way into this hidden place. Maybe that is the source of the goblin skeleton pile from the last room.?
Gorf tells Luke, “ horrible beast…slays lots of Gorfs friends, eats them while they still breathe…Gorf has been up those stairs, Gorf’s duty to be bangy trap, not explorifyer “
Gorf asks “ please unwrap Gorf, don’t want me to be bundle snack for Bidderboo….”
Rikaria notices for the first time that Gorf has been ungagged and he's talking when he hears her mention the bidderboo. She doesn't really believe in bidderboos, but then again, she didn't really believe in ghosts before a moment ago... She rounds on him and says "We'll protect you from the bidderboo, but you have to help us. We want that little boy back. You help us get to the kitchen and find the little boy you took, and we'll keep you safe. We'll unwrap you after we have the boy back."
Rikaria can't smell anything but lavender and honeysuckle, and she trusts Sasha. If Sasha says to go to the stairs, that's where she'll go. She says "If you're sure, then let's go. And everyone PLEASE, don't forget to sound like soldiers! If we don't sell it, the whole plan falls apart!"
Sasha lead the way toward the left corridor stairs. At the top of the stairs, a small stream of light coming from a small hole in the roof illuminates a small fountain. The room is tiny, approx 10’x10’ and the fountain fills the center. The side of the fountain is intricately carved with a similar type motif as the murals from the other room. The image depicts a feast scene, but instead of human figures, there are satyrs and pixies. One of the Satyrs looks like he is stirring a punch bowl with a stick, as others fill their cups from the bowl
Sasha:
To your eyes the scenes are animated. The satyr stirring the bowl looks exactly like Gaeb. As he stirs the punch, he turns his head and winks at you.”
Gerty smirks when Rikaria calls her Lieutenant Gerty for the second time, well I suppose I can try and live up to that title, she thinks. When the kitchen is brought up, Gerty tries herself to see if she can smell anything...
Perception 13
But as talk of the bidderboo comes up and the images of the skeletons they just ran into, Gerty gives pause to the whole operation. She gently puts her hand on Rik's arm, "Hold off on making all the sound. I know we were trying to sound large for goblins, but I don't want to draw whatever made that sound our way." she pulls her hand back quickly after saying her peace.
Rikaria replies "It might be too late for that, Gerty. I think we've already made too much noise to go back now... Anything in these tunnels with ears ALREADY knows we're here. If we suddenly get quiet again, it'll just make us more suspicious."
As Gerty carefully sniffs the air, she can pick up the faint scent of food being cooked towards the right hallway leading downstairs. Another howl echos through the halls….almost sounded like more than one this time, possibly closer. Gorf starts to squirm in his bindings a bit, looking nervous.
"So you want to give those creatures our distinct location?! Stop it!"Gerty snaps at Rikaria. "And go get Sasha, I don't know what she thinks she's doing, but the kitchen is this way." and she heads to the kitchen not waiting for anyone else. But stops at the door and listens.
Gerty's harsh tone gets Rikaria heated. She barks back "You liked the plan when it was just a pack of armed goblins we were facing but you hear some COYOTES in the tunnels and suddenly it's a bad plan? If you're SCARED, Gerthiel, why don't you just say so, climb back up the well and wait with Mrs. Longwater! Nothing's changed! This is the plan we agreed on! It's our best option!!"

(May I ask what we all know about Bidderboos?)

Luke turns to Gorf who he’s left ungagged “Gorf what is Bidderboo? What is this way?” Pointing to the direction Sasha is headed

William finds himself humming a little tune, maybe to calm the increasing unease at the thought of bidderboos feasting on his flesh
sasha:
The tune William starts to hum is one Gaeb used to play and it seems to sync up with the repeating animated story on the side of the fountain.
