(William's gotta stay outta the kitchen if he can't take the gettin' ganged up on for calling a girl fat! No shade to Acjots I respect the character choice!)
Rikaria follows Sasha up onto the front porch of the main house, a little annoyed at Mister Cartwright for disappearing like this.
"Maybe he's in the outhouse..." Rikaria remarks as Sasha peeks in.
"But then, what about the other hands..." Rikaria whispers. "They can't ALL be in the outhouse. And what's got the cattle so spooked?"
<<OOC: I'm playing William as a fragile boy in an environment that expects him to be masculine (or that's what he thinks anyway), so he trows a toddlerish tantrum occasionally. Let me know if I'm taking it too far. It's still early enough to write this off as an incident>>

"This is turning into quite a mystery." Sasha says to Rik in a lowered voice, seeming a bit excited over this, not really seeing the serious implicantions of not finding anyone here yet. "Maybe they are still asleep. This is the lazy farm after all." She adds with a giggle, then going inside. "Wakey-wakey, time to get up and get to the market." She calls out.

Insight on Will 22
Gerty falls back with Will for a moment on their way to the ranch, "Hey, shake it off, you can't expect the girls to say nothing when you call one of them fat. Especially from Rikaria, come on Will. Ooh, there's the ranch, come with me to go check out the barn."
As Gerty is looking around the empty barn, seeing all the tools scattered around, she wonders if this is how it typically looks or if something is awry? She sees the ladder and heads up to the loft to check it out, "Hello? Anyone in the barn? Where is everyone?"
Luke hangs back with Will while the others scattered across the ranch. "Maybe we should help out? Let's move around the back of the barn while the others check inside...Maybe there are some footprints or something?" Luke prods Will to follow him seeing that he's been quiet and upset from the teasing he took on the walk
Well, she started it! Why does she have to be so bossy and mean all the time?
At this point William sees a cute bird, laughs at it and everything is fine again. As he joins Luke he remembers that he should at least pretent to be cranky. But he can't be mad around Luke too long.
Luke pats him on the back "You know how ladies are....Pay no attention to it." Luke says trying to reassure Will "But uhh word of advice....commenting on a lady's uh well figure might get you a broken nose next time. Let's see what we can find...there have to be footprints around here somewhere"

Rikaria follows Sasha inside. She looks around the ground floor calling "Mister Cartwright? You doin' alright this morning? Mister Halfstock sent us to come give you a hand!" She takes a turn about the ground floor, looking for any sign of the man or his farm hands.
William chases a butterfly while Luke looks for tracks. Soon a few footprints catch his attention though. If anyone looked they would see William is tracking Luke.
Gerty hears the boys laughing and carrying on behind the barn, halfway up the ladder she shouts back towards them, "Hey! can you two focus? We're here to help and find the farmer, have you found anything to help back there?"
Sasha opens the door easily as it is not locked. The only sound she hears is a cat meowing in the stairs. Then house smells of freshly baked pies and is fairly neat and tidy. A long sword and shield hangs over a large fireplace and there are some roughly drawn family portraits hanging on the walls.
"Mmm, smell that? Pies."Sasha says to Rik, keeping on looking for those pies. "Hello, time to take those pies to the market." She calls out as she looks around the rest of the house, moving upstairs to check the bedrooms.
Gerty climbs the rickety steps into the loft. It is fairly dark up and the smell of hay and dust fills the air. As she calls out to the boys to focus, she notices something shuffle through the hay near the back of the loft. She can faintly see the hay hump up and move towards her left like a wave.
as Luke bumps into Will, Will almost trips over something stuck into the ground. Upon closer inspection he can see it is a rusty blade. Either a really large knife or a really short sword. And alas, he indeed does find prints that are not his or Luke’s. And they head off into the grass field behind the barn, heading towards the trees and hills behind them.
The scent of the pies helps Rikaria to relax a bit. She'd been starting to have visions of walking into a room and finding Mister Cartwright with his head bleeding because he fell down the stairs or something, but no, he must just be a bit behind with the baking! Rikaria can help with that!
She breaks off from Sasha and heads down the hall to the kitchens, saying as she enters "Mister Cartwright? Mister Halfstock asked my friends to come give you a hand. Ya needing help finishing the pies this morning?"
Heading up the stairs, the cat gives you a perturbed look and growl and then moves off. Whoever you are is not his problem…still no answers to your calls and you sense the lady of the house probably already took the baked goods into town. Up the stairs you see two bedrooms and sitting area with a washbasin and some linens. There are two large windows between the bedrooms that give you a clear view of the barns and the grassy field behind it. Such a lovely view of the Forrest and hills. You notice a tramped down path through the field and a darkened area near the middle. The tramped on grass path leads away from the dark spot, and into the tree line.
