This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Skorli sways a bit unsteadily on his feet. "What 'n if I buys ye a drink?"He jabs a thick finger into the bouncer's sternum. "How 'bout that? Then will ye take ol' Skorli to the par-tay?"
Persuasion 12 (original roll was 12)
Seemingly thrown off-balance by the finger-poke, he teeters to one side and almost in slow motion, with arms flailing, ale tankard flying, and a loud Dwarven curse, he crashes to the ground in the most awkward way possible, causing a commotion. He seeks out Leokoris' or Misha's eyes in the crowd and mouths silently "Go now, he's distracted."
Misha locks eyes with Skorli for a moment and turns to Prim, “Start taking notes!” Misha pulls out her block of gum arabic and breaks off a small chunk and puts it into mouth. She starts chomping on it until its a chewy, gummy glob. She spits it into her tiny hand and plucks an eyelash from herself and buries it into the gum. She then puts it back in her mouth and in between chomps says, “Invisibilis!”
Misha starts blowing a bubble wich soon encapsulates her until it finally “pops” and Misha, the gnome, disappears and becomes invisible.
She immediately scampers towards Skorli and into the private party room to listen and watch.
Prim watches and takes notes: VSM components, effect and tries an Arcana roll 7+ 5 = 12 for greater understanding.
She's not interested in learning Invisibility for now,, but the notes will be useful later & may (most importantly) give insight into how to convert Sorcerous casting to Wizard casting.
Prim is confused about why the interest in the back room, but focuses on taking notes.
(Was the 12 enough to tell if Rhi had feathers where most people get tattoos?)
Prim recalls Rhi had some featherless areas on his forearms and lower legs which could be tattooed.
As the bouncer attempts to help Skorli up, another large man grabs Leokolis by the arm, preventing her from going into the back room. Meanwhile, as she tries to get through the door, Misha runs into an invisible wall of force.
Skorli and Leokorlis, I need either an Athletics or Acrobatics check from you two. Misha, roll a stealth check.
(Prims mind is eased since Rhi could actually get a tattoo. But we got to town at dawn, got our accolades, Prim looked for spells, then we met for drinks. I'm assuming it isn't so late a tattoo shop would be closed, like after 10 pm by Prims guess.)
Prim presumably doesn't see invisible Misha hit the invisible wall, so unless a 14 perception works, she doesn't notice anything unexpected from trying to crash a private party.
She approaches the bar after taking her notes. "Leokorlis, why are you all so determined to crash that party?"
Skorli groans loudly, acting as if he is trying to get up, but in reality just writhing around on the floor trying to attract or distract everyone as much as possible.
Misha loses concentration and drops her invisibility and looks at Skorli, ”Nope. We are definitely not wanted there. I’m going back to the table to talk with Prim!”
Prim waits till everyone is close enough to hear her.
Before walking back to the table, she says:
"Look, I've been to about a dozen private parties in Inns. Two were retirements, five were aniversaries, one was a Bar-Mitzvah* and four were wedding receptions. And that doesn't include the thirty children's birthdays, Quincineras* and such because it's too late in the evening for children. And wouldn't shady characters hold shady meetings in a hidden place where they don't have to wonder about curiousity seekers? Speaking of shady. Does anyone think it's strange that Rhi just ran off to get a tattoo in a possibly shady neighborhood?"
Prim sits back down with Misha. "Do you think the hospital would welcome us, if we stopped by to help? Or, since you've showed me a spell, do you want to watch me do the "False Life? spell?"
”I don’t, know, Prim. I haven’t been there yet so I don’t know what the reception would be like, honestly. But, there is definitely one way to find out! We can definitely go visit and talk to them. What’s the worst they’ll say? I presume, ‘No’ is the worst thing they’ll say. I could teach you my cantrip too while we are there if we happen to be so fortunate to find someone close to death. Although, that is kind of sad to think about also.”
Misha looks at Leokoris, ”I don’t know what it was that I was trying to accomplish going into that party, but I’ll tell you what… Whatever they had blocking the entrance it sure whacked me pretty hard when I ran into it.”
(I was waiting to see if Skorli gets tossed out of the tavern... but I guess not?)
Skorli finally rights himself and sits back down. "Sorry mates, thanks for tryin' ta help. As to yer questions, Prim, how many weddings and retirements hire two bouncers and set up a magic force field to prevent anybody from looking in? I offered to buy everyone a drink... you really think that some kid's birthday party is so special they're gonna turn down free booze? Somethin's fishy back there, but I guess it's beyond us to figger it out."
(WARNING my response is based on guesses & may be corrected by the DM)
"Blocking the entrance...", Prim says, and Skorli fills in "force field" before she has to ask further.
"Well, two bouncers is about the minimum. Grandfather's retirement was his old pals from the regiment and families, so the regiment took turns as armed guards in full dress uniforms, ten guarding at a time and switching out taking turns at the buffet.
And if you've got the money, you can afford force fields. Three of the four weddings had force fields & four or more bouncers to exclude crazy ex boy or girl friends.
But the "invisible" part of the force field is new. Anyone have scrying spells like clairvoyance or detect evil? Can you think of a not-suspicious reason for secrecy, like discussing business plans?
So if there's no way to confirm this is shady, and no worries about Rhi's tattoo, Misha and I will volunteer at the hospital."
(I thought I had a flask of alcohol on her inventory but if not she asks for a bottle appropriate to a False Life spell to go.)
Skorli laughs. "A two-bouncer minimum at yer parties, eh? Clearly we growed up in slightly different circles. This be a dwarven sailor saloon, not some high-falutin' snooty tea-room."

Sure, Prim, roll a perception check.
"Sorry, Mister Bonebreak," the bouncer says, "I can't let you back there."
Here"s 10 gold for the ale, and what is the party in the back? Out of curiosity? - Leokorlis to the bar keep

Says the soldier to the bartender - Pardon us, we are going to the back room now...and hustles over to the door Skorli was interested in...
