Matilda raced through the brush, breathless and incredibly angry....but she knew in her heart she had lost the trail and a lot of innocent foliage was harmed as she took out her frustrations on her surroundings.....

The assassin curses quietly, attempting to dodge the flame. DC13 Dex Save: 12
Tiny and Titaani may act next! Titaani is losing ground, but Tiny is keeping up. Both have been visually and audibly tipped off by Ben as to the location of the assassin (but must still make attack rolls at disadvantage.)
Tiny (keeping up with assassin) √ Matilda (keeping up with assassin) Titaani (losing ground behind Tiny) √ Owlbear: (keeping up with assassin) √ Ben: (30' behind assassin) Lamorna: 3 (vanished) Horatio: (still swimming...) Assassin (invisible, hiding, dashing)
Titaani skids to a halt, staring at Ben in awe as he summons holy fire. "Woah.." Somewhat distracted, she takes out her boomerang and throws towards where Ben pointed. To hit: 12 Damage: 5
Tiny, however, will continue to dash after the assassin, taking his full movement and action.
(Edit: Sorry, forgot to use fonts. That was a 12 to hit and five damage originally)
Titaani's boomerang flies through the trees but finds nothing but air near where the fleeing assassin is believed to be.
Then, Matilda, Tiny, and the owlbear stumble into a small clearing after the invisible assassin.
A gigantic, gnarled oak stands at the center. Unlike other oaks in the forest, this tree looks unhealthy and has golden brown leaves. A thick carpet of dead leaves surrounds it, and three rusty sickles lie among the leaves. Standing next to each of these weapons is a bleating goat. Eight tiny houses made of woven twigs are nestled among the boughs of the tree. Squirrels dart nervously around these wee domiciles.
But Matilda only gets a glimpse of this scene before the ground around them erupts into a chaos of vines and greenery, grasping at their feet and torsos.
Matilda and Tiny: make three DC12 Strength saves or become restrained.
Horatio spots a creature on the shore silently watching him swim through the wonderfully relaxing lake waters. He has the body of a great horse topped by a human man's torso, head, and arms – a centaur, Horatio recalls. He is elderly, and has a weary, sad look upon his face.
Rushing up the edge of the clearing, Ben sees the writhing tentacles and the predicament of his friends. Staying as best he can out of reach of the vines, he pulls out his spear and offers it handle-first to the nearest restrained ally, saying, “Grab this and I will help pull you out!” If no one is within a spear’s reach, he will instead say a prayer that they will be able to escape.
( Help Matilda or Tiny if they are close enough; Bless on them and himself if they are not.)

The owlbear and the assassin are once again caught up in the grasping vines, which continue to pour out of the clearing. (Both are restrained again.)

The invisible assassin again tries to wrench himself free. DC12 STR check: 7 Ben should also make two DC12 Strength check or become restrained by the vines.
Everyone may act. Matilda and Ben each have two saves to make. Matilda, the owlbear, and Tiny are all restrained by the vines.

Meanwhile, Horatio has come within (loud) speaking distance of the centaur on the quiet lake, should he wish to try to communicate with it. The old half-man/half-horse continues to calmly monitor Horatio's progress.
"Hey! This is going to sound crazy, but my friends were talking to a real unicorn when someone attacked it. My friends chased the attacker off but they all ran inland. Can you save my friends? I'm trying to get to them but this is a long swim and that attacker could be real dangerous!"
Frustrated that no one took his aid to escape the vines, Ben is surprised when they extend from the clearing and attempt to ensnare him!
