Ben collapses in the pumpkin patch, unconscious. Matilda sprints clear past Horatio into the forest.
Horatio, glancing back, sees Ben go down in a flurry of metal fists.
He also sees a door creak open just to the east of the pumpkin patch. Granny emerges. She climbs atop an old rocking horse you notice near that door. Peeling paint covers its limbs, its rocker is thick with moss, and a rictus grin is painted on its face. The horse rises into the air, Granny atop it. She leers at you with a humorless smile.
Looking back, Horatio freezes a moment, a mixture of outrage and panic. A part of him wanting Granny to come for him... but the children... and Titaani in his pocket. "Thank you Ben." He says to himself, turning and running into the treeline. He yells ahead to Matilda, "Granny can fly, she's coming!"
Matilda and Horatio disappear into the forest. The tin soldiers drag off an unconscious Ben to a destination unknown (but not before somebody or something stabilizes him.) Granny careens forward on her flying rocking horse, her eyes set on fleeing giant Horatio and the two children he carries. The snakes vanish back into the pumpkin patch.
Matilda may act next. (She may roll a free stealth check if she wants to find cover in the trees as she runs.)
Horatio knows Granny will follow if he heads to the hideout. He puts the children down, calling over to Matilda, "I'll distract the crone, you lead them out." He looks to the kids. "The hardest part is always the first few steps. You're almost free. Follow my friend, she'll get you out."
Once the kids willingly go with Matilda, Horatio grabs a good throwing rock and takes cover behind a thick tree. "Come play hide and seek tag, you old witch!"
Feeling the magical attack slam into him, Horatio somehow holds onto his form and sense of himself as it tries to morph him into a slug. When it passes, a near panicked urgency compels him to the next part of his fools' plan. "Eat this!"
He throws the rock at Granny, once more cursing in Giant as he does!
( 17 to hit, if hit = 5pts of piercing damage from the rock + Fire Rune damage of 12 Fire, and she must make a DC 12 Strength Save or be Restrained with a movement of 0. She would need to re-save each round up to one minute, taking 2d6 fire and remaining restrained on a fail. )
He would then take his 30' movement towards any thicket or big enough tree to provide Full Cover.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
His well-aimed rock indeed strikes the mounted hag. She shrieks once in surprise, and then again as fiery shackles emerge to restrain her. DC12 STR check:16

( Damn....Matilda wouldn't be able to lift him even if she could get back...)
(( Is Horatio aware Ben went down? ))

Horatio is up next!

Matilda keeps going her eyes full of tears, she glances up at the crazy old crone but knows there is nothing she can do that will even slow her down.
Keeping close to Horatio and the kids she tried to make her way back to the hideaway.
Stealth: 14
Granny flies forward over the treetops, rapidly closing on the fleeing duo. Perception: 24
( If Granny comes within range Matildas going to throw some cutlery at her.....not that its gonna do much.)
"I see you, you fat thief," she calls out from above, some 70' behind Horatio and maybe 30 feet in the air.
Horatio, now deep in the woods, may act next. (He can dash 60', or slow down to 30' movement and roll stealth to try to hide, or try something else.)
Matilda nods, also taking Titaani as well, guiding the kids through the thick woods...
The two boys race into the woods after Matilda.
Granny approaches through the air atop her flying rocking horse. "No more games..." she snarls. The key in her back has stopped turning.
She points a long warty finger at Horatio. Make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be polymorphed into a banana slug.
(( I totally forgot to hand Titaani to the kiddos... could we retcon that? ))
(( Wisdom Save 19! Phew!!!! ))
( Matilda took her.)
(Yes - Matilda now has Titaani-Snail.)
Matilda and Horatio may act next. (Are they simply Dashing?)
Matilda is dashing though making sure she's behind the kidlets.
Feeling the magical attack slam into him, Horatio somehow holds onto his form and sense of himself as it tries to morph him into a slug. When it passes, a near panicked urgency compels him to the next part of his fools' plan. "Eat this!"

He would then take his 30' movement towards any thicket or big enough tree to provide Full Cover.
( If so Restrained, she would take disadvantage on all attacks and Dexterity Saves. Would she fall from the rocking horse though? )
His well-aimed rock indeed strikes the mounted hag. She shrieks once in surprise, and then again as fiery shackles emerge to restrain her. DC12 STR check: 16
