Pud continues his magical conversation with Titaani.

 "Yeah. Sorry. Kinda creepy, I know. I shoulda warned ya! Hopefully the yarn will do! See ya soon."

He then looks to the gang and says "Hey! Titaani found some strong yarn. Hopefully that'll do. She's on her way down from the mill."

Titaani rushes back with a huge armful of thick, bright orange yarn, as the wooden horse continues to buck.

Horatio: Make yet another DC 13 Athletics check, with Advantage for Ben's help, as the horse continues to struggle.

"Here! This should help!" Titaani says, passing out yarn to whoever's hands aren't full. "Oh, and Pud, it wasn't creepy, it was awesome!"

Horatio braces for the bucking animated chair (Athletics 20) and manages to hold it longer. "Geez, it probably won't get tired before I do.. we'll need to work this out."

Matilda kept watch for anything that might be sneaking up while they were distracted.

Perception- 16

Somebody other than Horatio and Ben - and who can tie a knot - should make an Intelligence (Sleight of Hand) check to tie the horse up with the brightly-colored yard. (Make an Intelligence check and add your proficiency bonus if you're proficient in Slight of Hand, so it's only a 1d20+1 for Titaani, and 1d20+2 for Matilda, and 1d20+3 for Pud, for instance, per XGTE and PHB by my reading.)

Meanwhile, Horatio: Make yet another DC 12 Athletics check, with Advantage for Ben's help, as the wooden horse continues to buck.

Matilda is satisfied that the coast is still clear.

Matilda will Help Pud with the knot...

Pud steps up and does his best to tie up the rocking horse. 

Intelligence (sleight of hand) check: 11. 

(Ooc: I rolled with advantage due to the help from Matilda and I rolled the same thing twice! Ugh!!)

Pud and Matilda wrap the hooded, bucking wooden horse in Horatio and Ben's grasp in yards and yards of bright orange yarn. But will it hold?

The construct horse tries to muscle its way out. DC11 STR check: 1

It tries to frantically buck, but the wooden horse is firmly held by Titaani's yarn. It's not going anywhere. Horatio and Ben may loosen their grasp and contemplate their next move. Success!

"Yay!" Titaani celebrates as the horse is held down successfully. "Now we can safely take him back to his mate." 

Ben:

"If the mill is clear, we should indeed grab our rocking horse friend and that dollhouse and make our way to Lamorna's Wayward pool," suggests Ben, and he goes in to get the dollhouse through the now-unlocked door.  Not trying to keep it steady or move particularly quickly, he tries to manage it alone to leave others free to do what they need to do.

 " She's not gonna be happy about his current condition....I wish I remembered who said about where the horn was...", Matilda grumbled.

"Yeah...but hey, maybe Lamorna can change him back?" Titaani speculates. Shrugging, she once again readies create bonfire. "I'm gonna burn this place down now, if that's ok with everyone?"

" Finally!", grinned Matilda.

Titaani grins back and casts the spell at the bottom of the tree, purple flame erupting at the bottom of the hag's home. 

Ben strides through the Family Tree room into the Kitchen, grabs the dollhouse under one arm, and exits Loomlurch again. The miniature furniture, and other items within, rattle and crunch against each other.

Horatio keeps an eye on the hooded wooden horse, wrapped in layers of bright orange yarn. It remains still.

Titaani begins to fill the air with arcane purple flames. It takes a few attempts – even her create bonfire cantrip is initially challenged by the thick, moist, rotten wood from which Loomlurch is made. But soon the flames lick and spread up the sides and out the doors and windows, as fuel from the interior of the massive log begins to feed the fire naturally.

The party turns and retreats, lugging a wooden dollhouse and an orange-yarned wooden construct in the direction of the Wayward Pool and Little Oak's glade as purple-tipped flames grow ever larger behind you. 

Matilda keeps looking behind her to make sure she is properly framed by the conflagaration as she slo-mo walks with her blades leaning on her shoulders.

"Well, I'd call that a resounding success!" Titaani says with a grin, now back on top of Tiny. "Wait - Matilda, why are you walking so slowly? Are you hurt?"

Matildas cheeks darken a little and she hurries to catch up....
