Titaani goes pale underneath her disguise and grabs Charmay's sleeve. "Umm...excuse me, dear, but what's this about a play? Lamentations of a Warlock? Do you dislike Warlocks? Do they have a weakness that is exploited within the play? And what is making this particular Warlock so sad?"

"Her name is Skylla. She's an evil warlock," responds Elkhorn with a growl. "The League of Malevolence, that odious assemblage of foul villains. She is very dangerous. She has a wand or staff she uses - be careful. Kelek and Zarak and the others must be nearby."
Meanwhile, Skylla responds to Titaani (who appears as a hunched elderly human). "I have no time now, old woman. Watch my performance!"
Two goblins open the large double doors to the east, and a large set piece is rolled out into the dark outdoor sky. Then they shut the doors again.
"Showtime!" cries Skylla to the goblins. She flicks Golmo into the lantern and closes it, leaving it on the tabletop. "Let's go! Let's go!" She marches northward and through the curtained entrance to the stairwell, followed by five or six goblins. Another dozen or so workers remain behind, some of them goblin children.
“Rude,” Titaani mumbles under her breath as Charmay leaves. Turning to the goblin children, she keeps up her old lady visage, hoping that it would be comforting to them. “Hello there. Are you happy here? Or do you wish you were somewhere else?”

" League of Malevolence......wasn't that ugly bugger you mu......got rid of.....one of them?", Matilda said turning towards where Horatio was in the shadows.
"uh..." replies the goblin child to Titaani. "I'm not s'posed to talk about that. Got any food?"
Skylla has vanished upstairs with the tailor and some of the goblins. Others, including Golmo, remain behind. The two goblins return through the double exterior doors, empty-handed.
"Uh, well," replies the goblin child, "My mom is really hungry. They took her food away. She needs food." The child nods nervously toward the southern exit.
"I'll go ask!" Titaani says, and rushes over to where the rest of the party is. "Hey guys, do any of you happen to have packed any food? I'm Titaani, by the way, I'm just in disguise."

Ben:
Starting to look in the crates for any food, Ben suddenly stops and turns to Gleam, saying..."Wait, Gleam, if you are the sun, we have a huge moon right here in this prop room. We could make our own eclipse--I just don't know if we need to use a prop sun and this prop moon, or if you and your sister are the key..."

Pud digs through his pockets and shrugs when he turns up empty. ”Nope, I don’t have any food. Wish I would a kept some of granny’s cookies we found back at her place!”
Pud walks over to the little goblin.
”Hey little buddy. Sounds like your mom isn’t doing so good? Is she sick or just really hungry? If she’s feeling I might have something to help her.”
Food seems to be in short supply by all, although Ben still has a piece of Molliver's jerky in his pocket. The crates in the storeroom seem to contain nothing but cheap stage props.
A pair of goblin carpenters give a suspicious stare at Pud as he emerges from the storeroom.
The goblin child is beginning to look very nervous from all the attention. It points toward the southwestern exit and remains quiet.
You hear the distant roar of an applauding audience from the northern stairwell.
Offering up what food he has for Titaani, Ben goes over to the moon prop and investigates it, looking to Gleam (if she is still with them) to weigh in on his observation.

Giving Titaani what's left of his jerky, Ben examines the eight-foot-diameter fake wooden moon leaning against one wall of the storage room. It weighs about 50 pounds. It has a small iron ring screwed into its top so that it can be hung from a hook above a stage.
Gleam shrugs. "My magical abilities are tied to moonlight." She taps the crescent moon mask covering her upper face. "And that's a big smiling moon prop." She shrugs again. "My sister is the sun. We're the Selenelion twins. We were born during a selenelion. That's when, during a lunar eclipse, the sun and the eclipsed moon can be seen at the same time, either just before sunset or just after sunrise, when both appear just above the horizon at opposite points in the sky. I dunno how to make an eclipse, though."
Responding to Gleam, Ben says, “Perhaps there is a sun prop as well. If we free your sister you and she can make a lunar eclipse shadow on the hag, then two of us can hold the props to make the same symbolic eclipse.”
”For now, though, we must let the stealthy ones figure a path for us, as I fear we would risk much by revealing ourselves undisguised to the nearby goblins,” he adds.
Pud says to the little goblin "I know you're scared little buddy. We wanna help you and your family. You gotta keep it a secret. Please."
As Matilda and Titaani went off to find the little goblin's mom, Pud gave them his Elixir of Health and told them. "Give this to his mom if she's sick. I'll send you a message if anything heads your way."
Pud slips back into storage room.

Titaani and Matilda find a crude freight elevator, and a short shaft above them to the next floor. The elevator is currently on this level. An iron lever on the southwest wall nearby seems to likely control it. Through the small opening beyond, they can see six dingy cells strung with hammocks lining both sides of this corridor. Loud snoring comes from one cell, and the noise of a rumbling stomach from another.
The light emanates from glowing orbs of red glass, set into wrought-iron wall sconces throughout all of the rooms here. They seem distinctly magical. (Each orb sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet.)
The large firepit on the southeast wall serves as both a heat source, a cook stove, and a forge. A beautiful set of mason’s tools rest nearby.

" Um....what does your Mum eat? Generally?"
"Well, centipedes are her favorite, but she'll eat anything right now. Do your friends have any food?"
The mood in the room has relaxed considerably, now that Skylla has left the room, but the goblins continue their work, building props and sets.
