Pud begins to cast his spell – but it is slow to cast, and to slow see the results. Considering the tear is some five feet long, it will take several minutes and several castings – probably at least five minutes worth – to fully repair. Ben helps him by holding the nest together.
Morgort grows nervous as she knows her arcane croak will only pause them for a matter of seconds. "I can't do it again so soon..."she mutters to herself anxiously.
Matilda tries to think of something. She remembers her aunt smoking out a hive of bees once to get their honey. And her brother once hit a hornet's nest with a slung stone – the two of them had to jump into a pond to escape their stinging wrath, she remembers.
"Yeah, that sounds like our best option. Is there anything of value out here first?" Titaani asks, peering around for anything out of the ordinary. Investigation: 10
Titaani sees nothing of interest or value outside the door (just a broken set of rickety exterior stairs in the fog, leading to a door off the landing below which they had opened off the pool room on their last visit.) Nor is there anything new of interest in the filthy kitchen.
The wasps continue to buzz quietly, but from the increase in their pitch, you sense their moment of tranquility is about to end. (Everyone may take one more action before Morgort's charm wears off...)
Pud starts to get a little nervous. "Matilda, you just wanna burn this place down too. Don't ya? Either way, I don't have any other ideas. Pile up furniture if you want and I can torch it. Or we can just run?!"

Having placed the wasps' nest back together, Ben comes back inside and closes the door behind him. He shrugs, saying, "Hopefully that will slow them down. Shall we find another door to go through--quickly?"

The swarming hive yawns open again after Ben lets go of it. He enters the kitchen, and hastily shuts the door behind him. The majority of the wasps remain outside, although more than a few still buzz around the kitchen. They grow more agitated by the second as Morgort's charm wears off. (Combat is over, but disadvantage on any further ability checks in the kitchen while the remaining wasps circle angrily.)
”Let’s get out of here,” says Ben, moving to the door in the middle of the northern wall. He tries the handle, and if it is locked, he tries his key. If it is stuck closed, he doesn’t try and force it open—that didn’t end well last time.

Horatio finds the stove – a small woodstove, still lit, although getting low. A tidy stack of cut firewood stands nearby.
Angry wasps continue to circle the room, distracting you as you dodge them.
As Matilda heads south, Ben tries the door to the north. The door is neither locked nor jammed, but rather extremely cold. Opening it, he finds a darkened storage room. Chunks of frozen meat dangle from the ceiling on hooks and chains. Along the walls, more meat is stacked in piles on metal racks. The room is freezing. A small, frost-covered wooden coffer sits in the middle of the floor. The cold seems to be radiating from it.
”There is some magic or elemental power keeping this room cold—should I open the wooden coffer in the center of the room?” he asks, concerned that this may be another trapped creature or a trap.

Titaani is too distracted by the wasps around her to hear Ben's question. Instead, seeking to escape the angry, buzzing animals, she crosses the room and attempts to open the door to her left, near Elkhorn and Morgort.
Titaani finds that the door to the west opens easily. It's a big pantry, containing dozens of pickling jars on wooden racks. The jars are filled with roots, petals, bat wings, pig snouts, frogs' legs, crows' feet, gizzards, reptile tails, mushrooms, and other unsavory cooking ingredients, many unidentifiable. One even looks like it might be toenails, immersed in cloudy brine.
Still dodging the buzzing, angry wasps, Titaani opens the door to the east. It is unlocked.
It's an exterior door to a balcony. Three large iron cages hang from wooden beams extending out from the balcony over the lake below. Two of the cages are empty, but trapped inside the third cage is a smiling satyr – horned, bearded, and generally furry on his top half, but with the lower body and cloven hooves of a goat. He is buck-naked. “Hello there!” he says.

Titaani follows Ben inside, having no desire to hurt the wasps in any way.

Horatio quickly checks to see if the fire in the oven still seems alive. Once checked, he leaves with the others.
Matilda doesn't much care if the wasps take the entire house so leaves them to the kitchen heading south.

Horatio prepares to strike the insects in the event they become hostile again.

Pud ducks down low and scurries over to Ben. He shivers as he peeks into the room.
"Wow! That's...kinda neat. Ya, it's gotta be magical. Is it good, bad, or something in between? I dunno.
Ben, do you get a sense that what was taken from you is in this room? If not, maybe it's best we leave this be. Who knows what's goin' on here."
