" I think he just wants to fly.....he's been cooped up a long time.....besides between the dragon chunks, cow chunks and giant chunks he must be pretty full by now....", Matilda shrugged.......she mostly just wanted to see a giant owl flying around...........
Pud finds no switches anywhere, and Matilda is correct: there are no visible locks or handles.
"HrrrrrAUGHT!" complains the gargantuan owl, hopping from one foot to the other.
Meanwhile, Mercion leads Titaani (and anyone who follows) through the Ballroom, through the smashed door to the north (knocked completely from its hinges), and into the Round Table room. The chamber contains a round, marble-topped table ringed by high-backed chairs. Between the table and a curved wall of tall, slender windows stands the motionless, white-haired wizard wielding a staff that has glittering frost erupting from its tip. One of the high-backed chairs has a smiling quasit carved into its back. The time-frozen wizard looks angry, his stance aggressive.
Nimbly sidestepping Ringlerun's icy blast, Titaani beams at him and offers him her hand. "I'm Titaani! There's no need to fight anymore. Me and my friends have defeated our enemies, and now all we need to do is free the queen!"
"Free the queen? What do you mean 'free the queen'?" asks Ringlerun impatiently, peering over Titaani's shoulder into the room beyond. "She's standing right there. Why don't... oh, I see!" he adds, finally noticing the time-frozen state of the crowd in the other room. "I didn't freeze them, did I?" he asks sheepishly, as he examines the head of his bejeweled staff. "Where are Zarak and Zargash? Why is the League of Malevolence even here?"
"Uh...well, you see.." Titaani begins hesitantly, wishing one of the smarter party members who are able to pay better attention than she can were here to help brief the wizard. "I don't think you're the one who froze them, and as for Zarak and Zargash, I'm pretty sure we defeated them - we've defeated most of the league of Malevolence, I think."
She shrugs, missing her ability to focus more than ever.
"Strongheart is in the other room, and the hags are dead, I think," Titaani responds. "Defeating them sure wasn't easy! The first time we attempted to overcome Bavlorna, I nearly died! But we're all good now, and she's not a problem anymore."
Walking over to the doorway, she pops her head out and calls out loudly: "Hey, guys! Ringlerun is unfrozen! Also, I think we should move this dragon before the queen sees it and freaks out!"
Pud hears Titaani call out and makes for the exit.
“Nice job, Titaani. You did it!”
Pud turns to Ringlerun and bows.
”Pleased to meet you, my name is Pud. And this is my friend, Rizzo.”
Rizzo chrips and whistles and does a few quick loops buzzing around Ringlerun. Pud looks around the room and peeks out into the room to the south where the Queen is frozen. He turns back to Ringlerun with a question.
”What was going on in here before everyone was frozen. Do you have any idea who those other people are?”

"Yes!" announces Ringlerun authoritatively. "I can. That is Zybilna." He points to the imperious, middle-aged woman with long white hair and white robes, time-frozen in the ballroom. "Her name is Zybilna, Z-Y-B-I-L-N-A," he continues, waving one finger in the air. "She is the benevolent archfey of Prismeer, avatar of mercy for destitute mortals, ruler of this domain. A fairy godmother of sorts, casting 'wish' spells for the benefit of the lost, the forsaken, or the betrayed."
"As to these others, they are mere courtiers, I believe. That pompous bullywug knight, for instance, is an emissary of the Soggy Court. He is named Lord Slubb, the Marquis of Brackishbog. He might be better off in his current form."
"We were set up. For years, the evil sorcerer Kelek has coveted my staff. He somehow accomplished being owed a favor by Zybilna, but somehow Kelek was betrayed by one of his own. When the League of Malevolence arrived at the palace, the Hourglass Coven slyly ensured that we were close behind. We clashed inside the palace, here. I was ambushed in there by Zarak and Zargash. I was casting a 'cone of cold' spell when... well... I don't exactly know what happened. Do you?"
Ringlerun scrunches his nose. “Iggwilv, the Witch Queen of Perrenland? She was a peerless wizard and conqueror. It was she who wrote the Demonomicon of Iggwilv—the greatest of all treatises on the Abyss and its demonic inhabitants. Are you suggesting that Zybilna is really Iggwilv?"

Pud looks around in the immediate area for a switch they might open the doors. But he pauses for a moment.
”Maybe we shouldn’t open the doors just yet until someone can figure out if it’s aggressive towards us.
What if we let it go and then it swoops down and snatches one of us once we leave this place.”

"I'm with Pud here... let's just go free the Queen then she can deal with the bird." Horatio offers.

"Poor guy," Titaani murmurs, holding the horn up to the wizard's head. "Ringlerun."
"...o use it for noble ends!!" shouts Ringlerun, spraying the room with frost from his staff.
Titaani: make a DC14 DEX Save with advantage, or take 7 cold damage from the blast of cold air and frost erupting from his staff.
Mercion: DC14 Dex Save: 5
"Ringlerun, stop!!" shouts Mercion.
"Where'd they go? Who are you?" Ringlerun asks Titaani.
Dex save: 8

"Oh!" shouts the wizard with surprise and confusion. "How'd you do that? Where's Strongheart? And where are those hags?"
Zybilna remains frozen in the ballroom, together with her frozen courtiers, a dead Jabberwock, a dead aurochs, a vaporous cauldron, and a big mess.
Nearby, Bloodybeak the gargantuan owl remains secure in its cage.
And Valor’s Call has been fully freed.
What next? Where to?
"Strongheart is in the other room, and the hags are dead, I think," Titaani responds. "Defeating them sure wasn't easy! The first time we attempted to overcome Bavlorna, I nearly died! But we're all good now, and she's not a problem anymore."

Horatio adds, "Can anyone identify which statue is the queen? This all gets fixed if we just unfreeze her, right?"
Matilda entered as Horatio spoke, " The door upstairs....none of the names we have worked did they? So we still need to find her real name, right?"
"Yes!" announces Ringlerun authoritatively. "I can. That is Zybilna." He points to the imperious, middle-aged woman with long white hair and white robes, time-frozen in the ballroom. Matilda looked dubious but motioned for Titaani to try it....
Pud looks at Titaani and shrugs.
“Couldn’t hurt to try, I suppose. It worked with the others.
You can also try Iggwilv. That’s what Thinnings said her true name might be.”
Pud turns and watches Ringlerun to see if he reacts to hearing the name Iggwilv.
