Tiny runs down the log and hops onto the grass, once again going invisible. Pausing behind some bushes to take in the strange scene of a panicked Squirt hovering over an infuriated Redcap (and two of its dead kin), Tiny stops to look at his option. Perception17

Meanwhile, Titaani continues past Cradlefall to the top of the open cell. Looking in, she can see that it is vacant.

"Are you lost, little girl?" asks Cradefall, sleepily, sitting up from in front of the stove.

"This is a dream, little dragon," Titaani whispers to Cradlefall. "I am just a figment of your imagination."

Squirt continues to harass the remaining redcap from above, attempting to stay just out of reach while luring him away from Matilda. (Acrobatics: 21)

Invisible, and sensing something is wrong, Tiny attempts to stealthily approach the odd fight. Stealth: 26

Will pulls himself up on the branch and runs down its length, hopping off in the muddy grass. Spotting the fight, he calls "Squirt!" in a sharp whisper, trying to carefully get its attention from afar. "What are you doing?"

Matilda may make a second death save.
Pud may act next.

Pud is fixated on the muddy footprints on the other side of the bank. He thinks to himself ”…maybe that’s their prints!  Maybe they escaped!”  He briefly considers investigating the tracks, but he’s snapped back into reality by the sound of Will calling out to Squirt. Pud scrambles up onto the branch and hobbles over next to Will. He draws his magically infused dagger and holds it by the blade, ready to fling it at any possible threats lurking in the area. 

Cradlefall squints and winces and rubs his scaled head with one claw. "Dreams, yes," Cradefall says uncertainly to no one in particular. "I was deep asleep..." he mutters. He stands and strolls over to the door, closing and locking it. "What do you want, nightmare girl?" he asks, standing in front of the exit.

Everyone may act.

Matilda may make a third death save.
Titaani is in a closed and locked kitchen. She can unlock the door and escape if she can get past Cradlefall. There is also a door ajar to the north, and a closed door to the south.
Pud tries to get a sense of the situation. (Perception: 12) He is about 60 feet away from the furious redcap.

(Pud sees two bodies on the ground, and one doesn't look like a redcap's.)

Death Save 3: Save with a Vengeance- 14

Pud spots the foul mouthed mushroom folk cursing and slashing at Squirt like a weirdo. He also something or someone lying in the bushes. Though he can’t identify the other body, he does the mental math and he deduces it’s either Titaani or Matilda. Pud raises his dagger, a magically infused weapon he dubbed Boomershank, and he flings it at the Redcap! 

Action: Ranged attack 19 to hit for 6 piercing damage. (rolls in game log)

After dagger pierces the maniacal myconid, the magical dagger returns back to Pud’s hand.

"Go back to sleep, little dragon," Titaani says, going over to the closed door in the south. She checks to see if it is locked. 

(Long-ranged disadvantage Boomershank roll: 11 )

Titaani finds the southern door closed and locked. Cradlefall watches her curiously from the front of the exterior door. "It's locked, my dear," he hisses.

Pud flings his odd knife over Will and clear across the toadstool patch (and over invisible Tiny), striking the screaming redcap in a lucky hit in the back. It shrieks with pain and surprise.

Squirt dumps another load of oil on it.

The Redcap races toward Pud, but not before slipping in the oil. DC 11 Dexterity saving throw or fall prone: 20

If she still can, Titaani will use her recycled nat 20 on the locked southern door. 

The badly wounded redcap manages to keep on its feet. Further infuriates, it races toward Pud and Will.

Will smirks and whacks it twice with his stick:
Stick Attack #1: 27. Hit: 12 slashing damage
Stick Attack #2: 22. Hit: 6 slashing damage

Finally spotting her muddy, bleeding form in the bushes, Tiny tries to help Matilda. DC10 Medicine check to stabilize: 10

The last redcap is down. Matilda is stabilized. Combat is over.

About then, Ben races out of the woods from the south, waving a stick, with Horatio close behind him.

Ben:

Rushing forward, Ben moves to Matilda’s side.  Not waiting to notice if she is even still breathing, he uses his last spell to heal her.

”Thanks for coming back for us…Sorry we missed you on the path as we sneaked out of the kitchen..What is going on now?” Ben whispers quickly as he looks around for the rest of their party.

Millicent groaned softly on the ground, vague shadows in her vision.

As a warmth passes through her and she heres Bens voice her eyes flutter open.
