Taking his best shot, Ben calls out, "Announcing the Seekers of the Lost, the Patrons of the Carnival, the Explorers of the Feywild! See before you Ben the Worker of Stone, Cadwallader the Purveyor of Magic Most Potent, Titaani the Mistress of the Archfey, and the Puissant Warrior Duo -- Matilda and Horatio!"

"Yes, now!" cries the king, stroking the baby crocodile lounging at his feet. "Now that I know your names, what do you seek from the Soggy Court of Downfall? Or perhaps to offer?" He snaps his fingers, calling for drinks.
Adjusting the fancy fly-shaped pin on Titaani’s blouse, Ben encourages, “Your turn, young one. Make us proud. May the blessing of Lady Firehair be with you.”
Intending only to Help with Persuasion, Ben unintentionally connects to the Divine in a new way, additionally bestowing Cure Wounds on her.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Titaani smiles back nervously. "I'll try!"
With that she rides up to the king. "Fair...fair tidings to you, great king of downfall. Firstly, we offer news of one of your factories burning down. We are so, so sorry. Please know that we did all we could to try and save it. So did many of your people."
She pauses to wet her lips, unsure of how to continue.
"We...we have also come to seek the blessings of this court. You see, we were hoping to venture further into your beautiful home and meet the..." she stops, fighting to keep her expression neutral. "We wish to meet the powerful Bavlorna. We were informed she lives here? It would be so good to make her acquaintance."

"Bavlorna? You? Looking like that?" He drums his hands on his chin. "The brooch is nice." He looks down at his book and thinks a moment.
"Only members of the Soggy Court are allowed to speak with Bavlorna. But you seem like honorable citizens. I'll tell you what. Proceed to the palace and be fitted with the proper attire, and then return. I'll deem you all honorary members of my court, and if you look the part, we'll send you to pay tribute to Bavlorna Blightstraw of the Hourglass Coven. What do you say?"
A bullywug in a dirty ruffle toddles over and hands out goblets of wine from a serving platter. Titaani's has a fly floating in hers. Cad's is empty with a scrap of paper stuffed in it.
”Ah yes, we are quite a sight I am sure after fighting that fire,” says Ben. Looking to Titaani, he adds, “I for one would like to get cleaned up and have a chance to rest, what do you think, Titaani?”
Ben takes his cup and drinks politely, waiting for their spokeswoman to make the call.

Nervously, Horatio lifts a finger as he steps forward a half step, adding, "Uh... Great King..."
He waits until he is acknowledged, then continues, "I am the..." He darts a sharp look at Ben. "...Pissant Warrior... Horatio. Since we need to change, and our appearance would be a reflection of your court, might I be provided armor? I regret that I do not have any to speak of, but it would probably help us make a better impression if I looked the part. I would of course return it to you when we're done." Not knowing just how to finish his request, Horatio gives a bow (more a curtsy) then steps awkwardly a little back. "Thank... thank you. Uh.. Great King."
Cad stands near the back of the group, doing his best to look the part of a Potent Magic Purveyor. This was made more difficult by his bedraggled appearance and by his astonishment at Ben's bombasticity. Never knew he could blow so much smoke! He accepts the drink with as much air of entitlement and casual disdain for servants as he can muster. He has the glass nearly to his mouth when he notices the paper. A secret message? Why would it be sent to me, unless it was just meant for anyone and I got it by pure chance?
He mimes taking a sip, then looks at the glass as though spotting something. He swipes the paper out and continues to study the glass, holding it up to the light as if to get a better look. Then he holds it out away from him for the servant to take, the slip of paper burning a hole in his other hand. If it's a secret, best wait to read it until we're alone.

"That sounds like an excellent idea," Titaani responds eagerly, then turns to the king. "We would be honoured to represent the soggy court."
The little gnome accepts the wine politely, but she doesn't drink it, having never tasted alcohol before. She just smiles and swirls the liquid around in the glass.

Matilda remains silent but downs her wine in one long swallow letting it warm her throat and stomach, many occasions of sampling her fathers scrumpy or finishing her grandmothers port serving her well...
Those of you who dare to sample the wine find it vinegary, weak, and generally pretty awful. Cad conceals the note without looking at it.
"Well you certainly can't be wearing THAT," responds His Royal Majesty Gullop XIX to Horatio. "You hurt my eyes. Go get cleaned up and in some proper attire. Then we'll talk."
He turns his attention back to his book.
A member of the court wearing a filthy neck ruffle and oversized shoes leads you out of the gazebo and across a muddy neck of swampland. You emerge on another low swampy islet or peninsula, where the muddy track forks. The courtesan, muttering incoherently to himself all the while, leads you to the right up a slight incline.
A ramshackle hall is built around a big tree. Two of the tree’s limbs reach out through the walls like enormous welcoming arms. Two bullywugs guards and a crocodile move aside to let you in.
The interior of the hall is roomy, with an open floor plan that allows occupants of the upper story to look out over the lower one. Bullywug courtiers crowd into the space, filling it with their guttural croaks. Their clothing is faded and stained with mud.
It looks like a child's costume-filled playroom in here, with fancy clothes strewn everywhere - powdered wigs, fancy hats, medal-decorated jackets, and accessories of all kind. (There is also leather and studded leather armor, hide, and padded armor here, if you don't mind some fancy frilly work, unnecessary buttons, and garish colors.) Three bullywugs recline on pillows gossiping loudly. Additional rooms exit on the left and right, and a ramp descends downward from the far side of the room, from which an upbeat tune can be heard through the fog.
Your guide begins to measure you for new outfits, picking up dirty garments from the floor and holding them up to each of you to determine fit.
Matilda is going to grab some armour.....she's battered, bruised, burnt and a bunch of other b-words so falling asleep for as long as possible is appealing.
Ben will allow himself to be fitted with a metallic jacket since it reminds him of his chain armor, but he will leave the lighter leathers and such to the others. If there are matching pants that would also be good.
(Ben would be okay with a long rest of it is late enough for such. Renewing and refreshing before meeting Bavlorna would seem to be wise.)
