"Well at least we know we need to double-up on watches, even when the place is pretending to give us a safe place to rest." Veil says as she gets up, wincing slightly. "Do we need to take a moment now to rest for another hour, or are we ready to move onward?"
Vinny grits his teeth and pinches around the wound, seeing if he can milk the poison and puss out. He’s also feeling for nodules to determine if the critter left anything besides poison behind.
”I’ll be fine … ” he tells everyone. “Stupid bugs.” He says under his breath.

"Well we know what is behind the middle door now." Bran walks to the northern end of the hall and inspects the door there, looking for any markings or signs of traps "Shall we see what is behind this door to the north?"
Bran examines the northern-most door along the eastern wall with cautious precision. The door is unadorned by carvings or other ornamentation. It is solid and smells of cedar. After a thorough inspection he is able to determine that this door is unlocked and untrapped.
"So, is it safe?" Veil asks after the door has been checked out carefully. She stands back, her hand flaming red, as she holds a fire bolt ready to blast anything hostile when the door is opened.

Bran shrugs “It seems safe enough. Let’s see what’s inside.” With a look at Veil and the others he pushes the door open and peers inside to see what the room holds.
Bran opens the door with assertive confidence. As the door opens, all the party waits in tense apprehension, peering over his shoulder. The odor of cedar, lavender and crisp linen wafts across their senses. The light from the party shines into the space on the other side of the door, revealing it to be a large closet filled with shelves of fresh linen, bath towels, soap and other household items.

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

"Well, any hidden things in there?" Veil asks, looking to the others. She begins to cast detect magic, figuring she just as well look for magic while others are looking for hidden doors or compartments.
Perner searches through the items for anything particularly valuable but also stows away a couple of bars of soap and a pair of sheets.
Perception: 17

((How is Veil casting detect magic? As a ritual? I was not sure as I don't usually play a sorcerer myself, but I did not see it on her character sheet: https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/49858895))
“Huh, not quite what I was expecting.” Bran glances in the linen closet as Perner searches through the room. He glances at Vinny “Maybe those spider creatures were chambermaids after all.”
Bran glances back down the hallway “Looks like the door to the south is our last choice. Shall we check it out?”
"i don care if'n theyre chambermaids 'r no', whats been done ta th weave heres criminal, an i won stan for it!"

As the rest of the group digs through the linen closet, Bran makes his way back down the corridor to the southern door, the last door they had not explored in the hallway. He takes a moment to examine the door closely, again looking for any markings or traps. Perception: 14.
“When you are all done playing with laundry, let’s find a way out of this place.”
Bran looks the door from crown to base. It is a wooden door with simple ornamentation identical to the middle door. He does not find any indication of it being trapped.

Finding nothing unusual about the door, Bran looks up the hall at the others "Well, what are you waiting for? Let's see if this leads to a way out or to a broom closet." Bran pushes the door open and looks inside. Perception: 7.

Based upon the skills of those examining the door it appears like a very safe door.

Vinny sniffs and nods silently.
Too bad it’s still 2 weeks away from my bi-monthly bath. He thinks to himself.
