The spider jerks back in insuprise and pain at the quadruple impact of Veil's missiles. Now both this spider and the one that had been struck by Veil's earlier volley show dents and cracks in their carapaces from the impact of the darts. However, they seem uncrippled and they both hiss at Veil, ready to fight.
Boting Amotal:
Amotal notches an arrow and fires at the closest spider:
Attack: 21 Damage: 7
His arrow hits a part of the body that had been cracked by Veil's barrage. The arrow splits the chitin further as black blood oozes out. The nearest spider is starting to look ragged.
Seeing some of the initial success of Veil and Amotal, Bran raises his bow and sends an arrow at the nearest spider, the one that has taken the most damage.
The arrow Bran launches from his bow hums through the air. It hits its mark with a sickening 'crack-squelch' which causes the spider to lurch and stumble.
The spider is critically injured and will likely die soon.
Vinny will move to protect the downed Perner. He will shake him awake and continue to stand guard after assisting him to his feet, raising his shield to ward off any threat from the spiders.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Vinny successfully wakes Perner and gets him on his feet, just in time for the angered spiders to attack!
Spider B targets Veil with Magic Missile (1st level): 11 damage
Spider A (the most damaged spider) puffs another blast of Poison Spray at Perner Con Save DC 12. Fail take: 4 poison damage. Success take half.
Spider C makes some odd gesticulations and you all see a spectral hand with hair much like the spiders have upon their own arms, reach out slam the door shut!
You are now separated from the spiders. (If you continue to pursue combat with the spiders, the initiatiave will remain as below)
“Whew… those didn’t seem like normal giant spiders, did they?” Zera says. She looks around the group with caution. “I’ve no desire to chase them down. You?”
This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

"Why retreat when they are nearly finished." Veil says with a frown. "Take them out while they are weakened, and then move on." On her turn she plans on reopening the door, unless the group as a whole decides against continuing this.

“As much as I like smashing’ stuff, so far we’ve only been hit by stuff we hit first. Those spiders now have a reason to be p*ssed off at us, and still they only pushed us away and caused Perner to sleep. We could open the door again to see if they’re still upset, or if their master has told them to ‘stand down’. I’ll go first, if ya’all want, I’m just gettin’ the impression that the keeper of this house has a bunch of monstrous servants that aren’t hostile until the ‘guests’ act up.”
Vinny looks to his minor wounds from the skittering swarms of spiders. “Stupid swarms were probably only sweeping the area ‘cause the master of the house detests brooms, or some such.”
(Vinny is in no need of healing at the moment and will brush off any attempts to comfort or bandage him.)
Veil considers her companions arguments, still itching for a fight.
The party is in the middle of the hallway which runs north-south. There are three closed interior doors along the eastern wall. They stand outside the center of these three doors. There is a fourth door on the southern end of the hall leading back to the hall of mirrors.
"Very well." Veil says, now that two of her companions have spoken out against continuing the fight with the spider-things. "At least I can say I told you so, if they end up ambushing us later on." she sighs and glances to the other two doors, ignoring the one that leads back to the mirror room. "Which door do you want to try next?" She looks to her companions. "And, if you truly believe some of the creatures that live here are not hostile, then maybe try talking instead of blasting away the first time you see something you don't like..."
"I suppose tha makes some sense. Though I don like leavin em alive."

Veil casts shield deflecting the missiles.
"I would like to end this threat, rather than leave an enemy behind us." Veil says, eyeing the closed door as her tail twitches in agitation.
