"He didn't give us anything besides this ale," He points to Firen's waterskin just as the watchmen shamelessly takes another drink out of it in spite of the child's comment, "*Cough*...well, anyways, it's very dangerous outside and we need to leave before more of the undead come. Come on out."
Jamari tries to wrack his memory for anything the bar owner might have said or done that would help them convince her.
History: 4
OOC: Sorry Firen, couldn't resist
You tried to rack your brains for anything, but the only thing that comes into your mind is the barrel of fine ale he kept.

You drank your ale as you were doing idle tricks with your weapon when a sudden urge to sneeze came unto you. You felt the ale move through your nose a little but you somehow contain it until the end of your performance. You heard someone containing their laughter from your group but cannot discern who it was.

Looking back at the girl Jamari says, "I think it's pretty clear that he thinks you're important otherwise we wouldn't be here. We're proof that you're really important to him, so let's go before more of the undead show up and eat you!" Jamari wanted to be nice, but he couldn't keep his irritation from bubbling over and that last bit just short of tumbled out. They were wasting time here on the whims of this little girl, the risk to their lives was increasing by the second, and, to top it all off, Rethan was still outside with his delicate little bard-fingers and harlot kissing bard-lips all over his ale!
Andcis smirks happy to lighten the mood a bit for her new friends and loudly asks Rethan to sing a song about this wonderful ale that was supposed to be for Jack's daughter's coming of age party.
"Hurry up and let's get her safely back with her father!" Venvyre shouts into the house for his compatriots to make haste. He keeps an eye out for anything approaching:

(OOG: sounded like I didn't need to make a CON save because I sneaked a drink back at the tavern, but if I do then: CON save: 5)
(You don't have to reduce the amount of ale you have brought but you still have to roll for CON save throw every hour)
After shouting to your group, you felt the alcohol rush through your body and you immediately felt drunker than ever. You saw the large footprints came from the forest before you can't keep standing still.

The little girl tried to hold her tears but they eventually poured out and begun to cry loudly. Being alone in the middle of the undead and strangers entering your home seems too much for a child to bear and have taken a toll on her heart.
She ran out of the room towards downstairs, you hear the sound of bricks moving and found a small secret path through the wall in the chimney. As you and Firen crawled out and walk towards the group, you found her hiding behind Auria and Ancdis.
She seems very frightened of you and says
"You" *Sniif* "don't have to be that mean" *Sniff* and continues to silently cry.

Jamari turns his eyes from the little girl feeling kind of bad and really thirsty. He looks around until he finds Rethan and snatches his waterskin back sarcastically saying, "Thanks for holding that for me. That little girl is all teary eyed, can you do your bard thing and cheer her up a bit? We need her at 100% for the trip back."
After Rethan's reply, Jamari goes back into the house to search the kitchen for more alcoholic libations:

After searching, he grabs anything he finds and heads back out to rejoin the rest of the group.
While the party finished it's preparations to head out, Jamari collected his thoughts regarding what the demon they saw had told him telepathically. After considering for a moment her turned to the party and said, "I need to tell you all something about the "being" we saw on the way here." Looking at Auria who was holding the little girl's shoulders consolingly he made the "ear muffs" hand signal and looked at the little girl pointedly.
Continuing he said, "As some of you may have guessed, I made a pact with a demon of the Abyss to gain my power. Long story short, the pact did not go as I had planned and it cost me my wife's life and the soul of my newborn child. That Shadow Demon we saw was a representative of the demon I contracted and it has control over my son's soul. Telepathically, it told me that some of it's kind had made a contract with a wizard in this town. The wizard was able to find a loophole and is now in complete control the undead the Abyss demons had loaned him. Given the nature of the contract the demons cannot physically intervene themselves, so they are holding my son's soul hostage so that I'll do what they want for them." He paused to let what he had said sink in.
"They want me to find a man with a skeletal hand, kill him, take his ring, and bring it to an agent of theirs once I've escaped the village. It didn't tell me what the results of such actions would be, but I'm betting it will work in their favor which means it will be bad for us and people of this region." Pausing and gathering himself once more he said, "I made a terrible mistake in contracting an Abyssal being, I won't make another by playing into their hands, even if it costs me my son. I'm betting that if we keep the man with a skeletal hand alive and destroy the ring we will foil whatever plans these demons have."
"I know you all just want to leave this place, but I ask you to help me set things right for this village by finding this wizard with a skeletal hand, destroying his ring, and keeping him alive to face justice." Finishing his plea, Jamari took a pull from his wineskin while waiting for their responses.

Nodding, Jamari agreed, "We'll get the girl safe first." Looking at the tracks Venvyre pointed out, Jamari examined them to see if they could be identified. "Could this be an Abyssal creature or another one of the undead?" He thought aloud.

Andcis glares at Jamari, " let's not talk more about pacts and plans out in the open we do not know who may be watching and I'm not sure what those wings I heard before were but if we are dealing with a powerful wizard and demons who knows what kind of spies we could be dealing with."

Aura had decided to stand guard outside the house just in case more trouble found them. Fortunately all had gone relatively well and the group was starting to make it's way back toward the tavern. Auria made her way to the foot prints squatting down to examine them. Using her sheild to spread dazzling light upon them she got a much better look at what they were dealing with.

One of the hazards in travelling is meeting this kind of creature alone. The strong body it possess, quick temper and gluttonous appetite makes it a hard foe. Generally they are stupid and only wanders near the edge of civilization, but something or someone forced it to move and came towards the town. They are known as Ogres.

Jamari nodded at Andcis acknowledging the point before going back to studying the tracks.
Jamari froze as he recognized the footprint, an Ogre!?! This situation was somehow gettng worse and worse. We're doing this for a cask of booze. He thought before he caught himself and remembered the real stakes. He stood up and informed the others of his discovery.
Rethan groans again. So now we have zombies, a demon AND an ogre? I agree. Lets' go back to the pub. I haven't had nearly enough alcohol yet. He takes a swig from his aleskin.
Your group managed to rescue the child and walked back through the alleys. As you walked for half an hour, you hear some grunting noises and checked to see at the corner of the alley, a group of undead walking towards the brick house and at least four hooded people behind them. You let them pass to not alert them and continued to walk through.
Half an hour later, you managed to reach the inn and saw the owner peeking through the windows. He immediately removes the beam and beckons you to come inside.
( Roll another CON save with a DC=8 except for Venvyre that must make a DC=6 and reduce your ale reserves by 2 pints. Failure for Venvyre makes his condition to smashed (disadvantage on attack rolls). Note: Technically, alcohol is a poison ).
Looking at his daughter safe, he hugged her tightly.
"Did you miss me my little darling" and proceeds to kiss her on the cheeks.
"There, there. Let me wipe your tears" as he reaches for a clean cloth, "Now go to Wagon and wait for us there my dear".
As she walks away, the expression on the face of the owner turned serious.
"I have good news and bad news. The good news is I managed to fix the Wagon, the bad news is the Draft Horses are dead. When I looked at them after the repairs, I saw the dead bodies. Judging from their injuries, they were eaten alive recently. It seems that was the reason I managed to repair the Wagon without interruption.
I already moved the Barrel on the wagon but we must procure some horses quickly. There is a nearby farm from here that has a small stable. I need two people to help me pull the wagon as we journey for one hour towards the farm."
( Increase your level by 1 and pick two people from the group to pull the wagon when travelling. The other four will move ahead and check the stables. Also, you can refill your containers before moving out. )
