“Ok- we will be right back!”. Tetrevess will go to the market with the healer, and get him revived- (bringing sam along as hes in that portable hole. (that works on the bastion things. i think we can use our “specials” to make some BP while we are not there, based on the orders we left, ill figure it out).
Tetrevess pays Chadderly the extra hundred gold for his willingness to do this, and apologizes for how long it took us to save him. “**We will be in touch, my friend, soon. But it would be great of you to check on things at home.” he says before sending him on his way.
This makes sense since the only way Events can tske place is during a maintain order. I do acknowledge you e left a high level wizard NPC there, but thst would be moving forward, the rolls below are for the week that had passed since you left Ythryn (the floating City) until now. Chadderlay would then find the outcomes of these events upon his return. <who has a bastion, for the record, Trisk or Chadderlay or do they share? Teisk has never been to Ythryn, though, so not sure>

Oli's? bastion 1
(I think the player should get one, bot sure again jf it should be Oli's or the pixy's)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The guest requests sanctuary while
avoiding persecution for their beliefs or
crimes. They leave before the next Bastion
turn but give you a gift of 500 GP.
(You can write about who would possibly come to you for this. Likewise the refugees who manage to find their way to a flying Netherese city, somehow. Or I can tell you if you'd prefer)
If you do want to sell magic items, you'll get 10% less than the prices in the Level Up listing. You can also buy things, just tell me what you're looking for, generally, and I'll roll some items, if you want.
<ooc: I don't think Oli ever made it to the floating city so he didn't have a bastion. As for the fairy, if he does already have a bastion, he could not have made it on the floating city. For now, because the fairy is traveling so much, he did not have a bastion.>
Cool. So, are you guys thinking stealth or deception fir the whole espionage thing? Careless whiaper is a bounty hunter of some sort, right? What does he think the team should do? (I was going to have him meet up with the others at the site, because it makes more sense to me, but I do want to have this encounter start pretty soon. The pixie can just wnter tbe room, Gafna will be expecting him and he works for her and is welcome at thia meeting.)
A white haired fairy wearing brown boots and pants, a green shirt, and a blue cloak silently walks into the room as you're talking to Gafna and at an appropriate lull in the conversation says, "A pleasure to meet you all. I am known as the Careless Whisper around here. As you have heard, I am a bounty hunter from another country that has been working with Gafna for a while now. If you want my opinion about this situation, I would say a bit of deception to get a few of us in the door and then take out the gate keepers when they don't expect it should work, with the second group sneaking behind the initial group as the first group deceives their way farther in, taking out who we need to as we go so we have a clean path out. I am willing to be the bait prisoner that is being brought in if needed and I have a hat that someone can borrow that will let them disguise themselves as a guard if we want to go the deception rout. If we do this at night, we could go stealth all the way as I can give darkvision to up to 6 people who need it for 8 hours. But doing that for 6 would use up all my spell casting ability. Stealth is my preferred means when working alone, but do use deception often enough. However, I don't know your skill sets, so as the newcomer, I'll go with what you decide."
Gafna will further encourage the effort at disguise. She has considerable resources at her disposal and shoukd additional supplies be desired. She csn furnish them.
The Probity Corp operates in every Tharch and has innumerable inquisitors and agents spread across Thay. Gafna has two sets of Probity Corps credentials taken from slain inquisitors from Delhumide. The names on the credentials are Gextas Rolasi and Cora Yamo. The documents bear no images of their former owners but a detect magic spell reveals the faint radiation of abjuration magic from the Probity Corp insignia on the wax paper documents.
Gafna explains that the rest of the characters can act as the inquisitors’ guards; inquisitors rarely travel without an armed escort.
The only unlocked doors to the building are the main double doors on the south side of the building.
The single door on the south side of the building providing access to the former pantry area is locked and barred on the inside.
The double doors on the east side of the building are similarly locked and barred from the inside.
"Do you need anything else before you leave?" Gafna asks
(ooc: since Trisk just recently joined the group maybe I will start his Bastion after this next part... I know that may put me behind the others by a Bastion turn or two but it will give me time to read up on the Bastion rules.)
"I realize I'm new here but I like a lot of what Careless Whisper just suggested. Even though we split into two groups, one working to deceive and gain entry that way while the other uses a more stealthy approach, we also stay relatively close and are able to back each other up if it starts to get hairy. Does anyone have any ideas they want to add or notice any part of the plan that needs to be hammered out a little more?"
"I can help overall with some illusion magic if that gives anyone some ideas."
Trisk allows for a pause to see if anyone has something to add to the plan before adding, "Sounds like we should plan this as a rescue with our back-up being if that option suddenly becomes impossible we switch to a 'search and destroy' sort of mission. If that sounds agreeable to everyone?"

So, are you guys planning to arrive by daylight or not? Even if you want to shop magic items you can arrive before nightfall. (We can weave the shopping in as we go.)
(ooc: this is for both the DM and the other players... if by day it's better for deception, most people enter buildings during daylight... if by night it's better for the stealth, easier to hide at night with little light... which gives us a better chance?)
(can we come up with a reason why the deception team would enter after sundown?)

Also, Gafna suggested that it is normal for inquisitors to travel with guards so we don't technically have to break up into two groups. Or the first group could be much larger than the second group instead of the other way around.>
yeah, inquisitors and guards sounds good... keeps the group together

For most of you, nothing significant happens.
Ehtan's bastion hosts 5 refugees who offer 600 gp payment for your hospitality and protection.
They stay until you find them a new home or a hostile force attacks your Bastion.
In his absence, Randy's bastion is visited by an honored guest... 2
