Resolving herself to Sparhawk being dead....or something similar...the Wild Dwarf looks around the gardens...if she can't get home she needs to find a place to live....she heads over towards the rose bushes....her hearts set on finding a more tropical region to the gardens but she'll make do...she's unphased by the dragon she's used to large reptilian/avian things trying to hunt her.
At first nothing happens when Cha!jil casts her spell. The guests reveal they arrived at the palace separately and each of them is waiting to speak to one or more of Zybilna’s representatives. They’ve been here a long time (how long they aren’t sure exactly), yet they remain patient and well fed. The guests have wandered the garden but can offer no information about the palace. They know better than to enter the palace without an invitation.
The badger minstrels stsrt to speak, but as they do Cha! Notices the guests staring at something behind her. She turns to see the frozen Captain Sparhawk beginning to stir.
As captain Sparhawk slowly comes to, the spell seems to interact with the fey magic. His skin color changes taking on a crimson red shade, an extra set of eyes appear on his forehead where he has tattoos, a set of horns grow out of his head, his arms elongate, and a tail forms.
He seems confused and disoriented, falling to the ground.
The strange looking half-orc/ mutant looking man looks up at Cha!jil. At first he seems dazed and confused. Then he sees her beard
"Cha.....Cha.. Cha!jil? Is that you?" He looks around the strange setting. "I was on a ship....vampires.... rescue.....Where are we?"
Cha!jil looks down at 'Sparhawk', " No you weren't......you were in a fight with dead things and lots of magic......and then you were statue in this bad jungle."
The badgers suddenly cease their music with a sour note as they look on shocked at the development.
"Well, I say, young lady, you are truly full of surprises," Lord Eld remarks to Cha!jil. "Perhaps you should try to revive this other frozen fellow. It would be the polite thing to do, if possible," indicating the time-stuck halfling nearby.
The confused paladin rises. He is 7 feet tall, wearing full plate. His skin redish, a tale and horns and elongated arms. He has a fractured nose. It is quite pronounced.
He straightens himself up looking at those who are gathered.
"Greetings, I am Sparhawk, Captain Sparhawk."
He turns back to Cha!jil, "Where is Tess and Koselig?"
A while ago, some of the PCs got hold of a floating Netherese cuty and nade it a base of operations. Chadderlay us still there. I was going to swt Sparhawk there, but i opted for this, instead. So now that Bastions are out if UA and in the DMG, I was thinking of making them a bigger part of our Gane. First, if you dint have ine already, feel free to make one. Next, leveling up, as you did, sometimes grants Bastion upgrades, so maybe look into that.
Most significantly, bastion tuens, ehich typically occur about every 7 days, doesn't work for us very well. So, I'm bifurcating our play time lines here, suspending realism in favor of playability. For us, a bastion turn is every other week and to make it easy to remember it's on the 1st and the 15th. So, start now and create a bastion, if applicable, then we'll figure out this week's bastion turn (a few days late). PM with comments/questions.)
(For the record, Cha!jil knows Tess followed from Heart of Ubtao to Phylactery Vault, but not what happened to her after that. She did see Valindra hit Tetrevess, Tess' brother, with PWK.)
When Cha!jil casts her spell, to the confusion of onlookers and herself, the stasis-bo7nd halfling does nothing. He remains frozen as ever.
"Oh, too bad," says a disheartened Sumai, "Weren't your fault, though, I reckon. Mysterious are the ways of the Feywild, replete with laws both unspoken and cryptic."
The headless dwarf stamps once on agreement.
"You did your best," Majera says in consolation. Her quill, Dictato, transcribes her words in florid calligraphy. Majera adds, "yours, truly, Majera d’Valzey" which the quill signs. The woman folds the page neatly lengthwise forming a card, which she presents to the dwarf.
"Oh, yes, that reminds me, are any of you named Koselig? There's a package here longer even than any of us. If not, do you think you could pass it along to them?"
Sparhawk looks at the strange group, "Yes, I know that man. I do not see him here, but will take the package for now." He looks back at Cha!jil, "Cha!jil, we must find our way back to our world so that we can complete our task. We are out of place here."
Trisk hears the other group talking, "Is this the Feywild then? That would explain things I guess."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
The huge armored half-orc with horns and a tail looks at Trisk.
"Hello friend, I am Sparhawk. A Paladin of Marduk. I know Cha!jil (he looks to the wild dwarven woman), but not you." He feels the horns on his head. Look at all present "Where are we, and how do we return to our world?"
Sparhawk then notices the crown. "And what is that? Some sort of temptation?"
"If this is the Feywild then I hope my friend got safely home, as much as that can be for her."
Trisk looks sad at the loss of the companion that he was bonded closest with.

For Cha!jil
Before she leaves Sparhwak she calls on The Lord of the Deep Jungle to restore him....though she doubts her god can hear her here.
Lesser Restoration.
When that doesn't work she heads over to the crowd near the pavillion and asks how long they need to wait for whatever they are waiting for.

Cha!jil regards the thing that used to be Sparhawk dubiously, but approaches and gently nudges it with her foot.
" Who You? Sparhawk or other?"

<while were waiting on Cha!'s response, is anyone doing anything about that crown being held out of the water?>
Cha!jil shrugged at Sparhawk in response, and used her dwindling magical reserves to attempt to Restore the frozen halfling.....

"What does the inscription say?" and even as he's asking Trisk goes to check for himself.
