Uriel assesses the loquacious elf ro be some sort kf noble and the other battle-hardened, but no brute; perhaps a knight.
<I think the way blindsight works, as of today, at least, the rug would have know Picollo was there and also attempted to grapple her.>
Because of its length, the rug can smother up to four Medium or smaller creatures at once.
22.
Damage Transfer. While it is grappling a creature, the rug takes only half the damage dealt to it, and the creature grappled by the rug takes the other half.
Trisk (and maybe Picollo) take 20 damage (I guess 10 each)
(Technically if she's being smothered, Picollo would have DA from being blinded and restrained, but just keep the attacks as they are, even though that should negate sneak attack, if applicable)
The rug doesn't seem to care about the transfer of the rose, but it continues to leave Tetrevess alone, for now.
(Unless it doesnt work, she would have been hiding pretty far, then moved into throwing dagger range to attack? She has been watching Trisk, but not super close by)
”Let us proceed, then,” says Uriel simply. “As I said, I and called Uriel. How should I address you?” he asks as he walks up to and through the main castle door.
Perception to hear nearby commotion, if applicable: 13

“Rug doesn’t like rose. I don’t know why I am not attacked. I never had a fondness for carpets, I prefer tile. “. Tetrevess mutters. “ Oh good to see you again! Oh- let’s unravel this unruly rug!”.
He blasts the rug with a firebolt 25 to hit, 19 damage
(Unless it doesnt work, she would have been hiding pretty far, then moved into throwing dagger range to attack? She has been watching Trisk, but not super close by)
it takes up the whole hallway so either youre in the room or not and if youre not holding a rose it attacks. if youre really doing a spider man thing, or whatever, the damage just all goes to Trisk. Up to you.
the firebolt hits the rug and it is scorched, but not burning. inside Trisk (and maybe Picollo) feel the heat, taking a total of 9 damage (maybe split 2 ways)
<sorry, bad DM, losing track of initiatives. If Trisk took a turn, that ends the round and at the start of his next turn he takes 10 bludgeouning. this is an ongoing effect.>
<the rug has an Int score of 1. it wont attack anyone with a rose, but its not going to stop once it has, unless maybe its creator stops it, but that seems exceedingly unlikely.>
The tiny child-like fey girl stays away from the dangerous rug. She puts her little woodwind instrument to her lips and begins weaving a spell
Dispel Magic (on the rug). (reaction: She also plays a tune of courage and strength, giving Trisk +1D10, to his roll to get out of the grapple if needed, Bardic Inspiration)
Drain nods to Uriel and replies speaking common. "Well met. I am called Drain. Let us proceede"
Where do you want to go? Leave garden, two towers (one with an unlocked door) castle with two doors, one is open u less the wizards closed it behind them when they entered.
Drain follows along, uttering a word of power as they step forward causing a Hawk to appear on his shoulder. "Let me introduce you to Hawky. We may find him useful." He will send Hawky up in the air to see what he can see as he follow Uriel through the doors.
"Ow, ow, ow, I'm glad the rug has stopped smothering me as I could feel everything from inside it."
Trisk rolls over and gets to his feet, looking back down at the now inert rug.
"Why did it go after me and not Tesservett, maybe I should of taken a white rose?"
He now goes and plucks one from a vase before continuing.
"Better late than never, you never know."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
The tiny girl gives Trisk a hug,as if she has not seen him for a very long time. Then she will examine the doors for traps, sounds behind, etc: (Perception: 23)
Hawky sees the whole of prosmeer, under a twilit sky, it's borders shrouded by thick fog, which also runs in the valleys between iys co trasting regions, one wooded, another marshy swamp and the third, a series of mountains. The castle has an open ceiling above the glass carriage, but roofs cover the rest, with four central turrets and one tower just behind the carriage house. There us also the central tower.
Moving onto the carriage room, Uriel looks around seeing doors to the north and east.
(Passive Perception 20–does he see or hear signs of combat or others nearby? Or is this some separate reality where just he and Drain are in the castle?)

The rug falls to the floor, seemingly inert, once more.
Still got some doors. What do you do?
Uriel:
“Excellent,” says Uriel, leading the way directly into the castle through the nearby open door.
