Drain notices some transmutation magic glowing about the chess set in the corner.
They're just asking anyone who stumbles in here. It's a general question. They will assume the most important person will answer so they don't really care who does until they know that. Mostly they just want to know about Zybilna.
The PCs are all aware by now that Zybilna is the ArchFey who built this castle and indeed the whole of Prismeer, the domain you are now in, itself within the Feywild. She supposedly grants wishes. It is her Kelek referred to as the consort of demons and the dragon's pet parent.
It's a weird looking dragon, by the way, not like those you've seen before, regardless where yiure from, but maybe that's just how they look in the Feywild. Everything's a bit distorted and extreme here.
”My apologies, little one,” says Uriel to Piccalo, “you are the most eloquent among us so I assumed…no matter.”
To the Lamia, Uriel says, “I know of Zybilina only by reputation, as heretofore the ruler of Prismeer and sometimes grantee of wishes. I wish to meet her in person, but the state of her castle seems…unsettled…with a pretender on her throne and some portion of the residents apparently frozen in time.”

Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
(OOC: Trisk is the most familiar with Piccolo, and parts of her backstory, but suffice it to say, she has been a trapped prisoner for a very long time and is a bit jumpy)
Uriel hears a quiet musical sound, He believes he imagines a feeling of relief, as if she was quite scared.
Trisk
Trisk knows that she was not scared at all of the demons. Its all for show. She likes to keep her powers hidden.
Noticing the crown on his brow, the lamia adress Uriel, "i see, and rhis usurper you speak of - he is aware, your grace, that you, a self avoed stranger to Zybilna, are currwntly in her bedchamber for xome reason. Is this so?"
"What are you hinting at Nemesatra?" asks the male Lamia.
"I hint at nothing, Trizzian. I merely wonder what business this sovereign who speaks of usurper has in the private chambers of the ladybird the house, of whom he knows nothing."
Beginning to regret putting on the crown, Uriel says, “Yes, the usurper gave us permission to explore the castle and confirm his assertion—that he has deposed Zybilina, she works with demons, and her pet dragon is a threat. I must say that finding you two in her bedchamber lends credence to his words.”
”Still, I would rather hear the queen speak for herself before making any rash judgements. How may we find her?” Uriel adds.
Piccolo steps out behind Trisk and begins to play a mellow melody: (Musical Telepathy to the entire group present: She conveys an image of Uriel as a kind and well-meaning ruler, but a stranger to this world, who is here with his friends to help. She presents herself as his humble servant): Persuasion: 23 (OOC: She hopes the music will calm any tempers or concerns)
Nemesatra: "We too are recently arrived. This seemed the most likely place to find the castles owner at twilight, hence we came straight here, only ro find you close upon our heels."
Trizzian: "We are emissaries sent by our lord to parlay with Zybilna. Thus far weve seen neothwr hide nor hare of he, but it seems you've found even less than we."
Nemesatra: "I'm beginning to doubt she is here, at all, given all you've said."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Drain:
Drain will message to the wizard Triste while Uriel and Piccolo talk do the two demons
The chess set is radiating transmutation magic. I am going to move closer to investigate...
Drain will casually walk around the room, looking at various items as if he is trying to find something as he casually moves closer to the chess set for a closer investigation.
Trisk will look around the room to confirm there are no other demons present before enquiring, "I take it you've found nothing to indicate where she might be? Do you mind if we search for any clues that might help suggest where she is or when she might return?"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
If his investigation turns up nothing Drain will try to steal one of the pieces.

When he lifts a white knight from the board, it mutters, "Mark my words—I will outwit and outmaneuver you at every turn. I fight not just for the win, but to uphold the honor of my side. My leaps and bounds are not just strategy; they are defiance against your dark schemes."
Trisk will look around the room to confirm there are no other demons present before enquiring, "I take it you've found nothing to indicate where she might be? Do you mind if we search for any clues that might help suggest where she is or when she might return?"
Nemesatra: "We wouldn't dream of stopping you."
Trizzian: "We're looking for the same thing, after all, aren't we?"
"Well, if you find anything, do let us know. I think we'll keep exploring on our own." Nemesatra concludes before taking her leave which she dies by walking to the mirror hanging on the east wall and leaping into it, disappearing as she melds with her reflection. Trizzian follows close behind, glancing over his shoulder at the lot of you, with a hungry look as he exits in the same manner.
You're alone in Zybilna's bedroom. There's a door to the south and the one yoi came in through to the west.
As the two demons disappear, Piccolo moves about the room, searching Zybilna's bedroom for any clues, belongings, or secret compartments/ doors. She moves incredibly quickly, and her hands seem to move in a blur as she ruffles through things (Fast hands). It is quite clear she has keen eyes, and is much more than the innocent homeless-looking child she appears to be.
(Trisk knows her the best, and could explain more about how he came across her in the doomvault and what he knows about her)
(I'll just provide a few perception rolls: 26 and 26., also did she discover any properties of the rapier she tested a few posts back?)
Drain very accurately appraises the worth if the chess set at about 2,500 gp. Its pieces mutter under their breath when they are taken off the board. Otherwise, pretty ordinary.
Not sure it's worth mentioning, bit this is the chess we play o. EARTH and also found on Oerth, but not the Dragonxhess played commonly in Faerûn. People in this campaign and this domain are feom all over, so this could be a mundane fact.

Theres a door on the south side of the room.
This chamber is a walk-in wardrobe. Hinged panels along the walls swing outward to display a variety of exquisitely crafted robes, gowns, scarves, headdresses, stockings, gloves, shoes, boots, and other clothing. Items remove themselves from hooks and hangers and float in the air seemingly of their own accord, allowing you to see them more closely.
Did Picollo want to take a short rest to see what the rapier does or has she used it for anything?

Does anyone move a chess piece?
Trizzian notes Drain moving near the chess set and mentions casually, "Hmm, it seems Zybilna has a penchant for the Immortal Game. Intriguing."

It is pretty obvious he's taken the piece.
