(I said 5th level this time... I actually stated it)
Sorry, I missed it.
Okay.
The cloud of noxious gas vanishes, revealing Randy had moved to the other side of the pool. (Didn't use an action, so he still can interact with the sepulcher or anything else if he wants to)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Good job Kazit Gul! Your anti-magic field served to cover as an attack while it actually protected us from Valindra's spell!"
Pausing to point dramatically at Valindra.
"Now is the time to strike at her when she is distracted!"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
The Tyrant shadow, sending new entities within the vault, targets Cha'jil with its telepathic tendrils. Cha' must succeed a DC22 Int save or the Empathic Link will cause 26 psychic damage and be linked to tne shadow. She may repeat the save at the end of each turn. Until then, she takes half of any damage taken by the tyrant as psychic damage.

"Gul! Stop stalling or I'll be forced to tell Szazz Tam of your inaction. You know the Zulkir allowed you to remain in your precious Doomvauly with the understanding that you would protect the phylacteries of his most auspicious and loyal liches. Now be rid of these intruders." Valindra commands the demilich.
Kazit Gul stares coldly at Valindra, then looks to the assembly of adventurers and flies silently toward them. As the antimagic field around Trisk fades, the vault starts to shake.
All creatures standing on any floor of the vault: Make DC19 Dex check or be knocked prone.

(Sorry I had a lot going on over the weekend. I should be alright for now)
Without even stopping to think, Randy charges at full speed like a raging bull towards the southernmost sepulcher before he makes a daring leap into the air and, on his descent, smashes the key-laced bayonet into the mysterious magic field with all of his strength. In fact, (DEX Save: 19) he's so angry he doesn't even notice that the ground is in fact trembling below him, and if it did, he already lept into the air before it would knock him down already. "HAAAAAHH!"

<ive veen pretty busy latelt. Next month looks worse, honestly. Mostly I just want players ro do stuff. I think Valindra and the dwmilich are rechincally uo, but they already get a bunch of LRs, so let's just see what happens>
Randy stabs the sepulcher the doors animate into a pair of four-armed gargoyles and attack him.
Kazit Gul psychically speaks a vile curse (LR) heard only by Randy. He must succeed on a DC15 Wis save or incur DA on attack rolls and saving throws until the curse ends. He can repeat the save at the end of each turn to end the curse.
<I know it might seem like the combat is stacked against you, but it's really not. You're just missing the point. You're 7 checks away from success; 2 closer than when you entered the room, but not any closer than when you started combat. This should be clear after the first success. If it's not, it's my fault foe not communicating it clearly, so I'm doing that here.>
Random thought:
Put your spoiler here.<anybody tried Fabula Ultima? It'd git a really interesting take on skill checks, in that they all need 2 rolls, but they don't have to be different. So here, instead of arcana or religion, it would be arcana and religion. It's otherwise pretty different so the mechanic doesn't port directly, but I like the general idea. Also the two can be tbe same, like athletics and athletics if you're just lifting something. This would take real work to bring to 5e, but it could be done. The major thing is that a situation like thjs almost demands a caster to make the check, and within the system, I think that's the author's intent, unless yoibhave a bunch of glyph keys, which would reward exploration by allowing the non-casters to try it while casters engage the foes, if the group wants to do that.>
(That being said, if we have someone "help" the arcana check of another, we would get advantage, so even though Piccolo sucks at Arcana, if she helped Trisk, he gets advantage, unless I'm mistaken).
Help action prerequisite is proficiency, plus now you're using two PCs actions instead of one. Math is actually better if you borj just try the check. (I think. I didn't do the math, but the DC isnt very high)
Though Ethan does hold, he suddenly trips over thanks to that stupid earthquake. Annoyed, he doesn't hesitate to get back up again; He ain't moving anywhere anytime soon but still... eyeing his brother, the next thing he sees are the gargoyles . Glancing back to Piccolo, Trisk and the new guy, he figures they might need help at some point... but he decides to help his big brother first.
And so that's what he'll attack for this round, especially the one that hit him just now. Before he then turns on the tyrant again. But... right now he's also seriously injured; Any hit that lands on him will be enough to knock him out until the room is clear.
Baseball 1 (Gargoyle 1): Nat 1, missed
Baseball 2: (Tyrant): 13 (I also assumed that missed... Ok fine, 12 total)
Baseball 3: (Tyrant): ANOTHER NAT 1?! BRO!
Already missing all of his moves due to pain, he then gestures to Piccolo and Trisk saying he needs help in staying conscious.

"Shadowmantle alone seems an even match for you, but with the Tyrant Shadow of Eltab miring you, your efforts are futile." The demilich responds.
<I heard from T recently. Encouraged them to post before monsters go. Waiting on that and maybe a Randy action.>
