Goosebumps crawl up the soldier's neck as she listens to what Ereni says. She reaches up, placing two fingers over her lips as though to silence herself.
"The Princess..." She says, looking back toward the sea, her eyes practically following Stasolya's as she thinks about the Kraken. "Mithrandir had warned us the Tarrasque would come through here. The other beast, your King o' Monsters, we didn't expect. We evacuated the city's civilians into the catacombs beneath the city, well, those that weren't flooded during the Kraken's attack. Not sure how Argos will ever recover from all this."
She takes a moment to be silent, finally lowering her fingers away from her face. The dark skinned Gerudo warrior before the answer looks perplexed, unsure. There's an air of hopeless confidence, if that makes sense.
"You've offered all the help we could ask for. We have faced hardships we could not have anticipated less than half a trine ago. I wouldn't even know what we need or who to ask. The King and Queen...the loss of Princess Andromeda has not been good for their mentality.
What you did today mattered. I've heard of drops in a bucket...but you can fill a bucket with enough drops."
"Argos may never be the same," Judal offers "but in it's rebuilding you make it more yours... each of yours... than it ever was before. Aim to remake it how it should be, how you want it to be. And each day you will make it more so..."
Judal then looks over to Malenua and Ereni. He does not have the closeness that they seem to, perhaps never will... But he gives them a solemn nod and a small smile. "I follow where you lead."
"As my Companion had said, Some of us were present during the Kraken's siege on Argos. I was among them." Her gaze flashes to Cinder and Stasoyla, recalling the very vivid memory. The fierce storm, the Krakens barrage and the attack of the creatures that followed the sea-bound titan. "We were there when the Princess willingly gave herself to the Beast, so that Argos may be spared. Remember her sacrifice, She gave herself over so that Argos may yet have a future. While it is true that Argos has seen much suffering and destruction of late, You must do what you can to ensure that it remains."
Malenia looks to the vast destruction that has befallen the city. "You say a few drops can fill a bucket, If that is true then there is still hope for this city."
A soft smile curls on the corners of her thin lips, she nods to her companion Ereni. "You're company would be welcome Ereni. I know my request would take us out of the way but I do not now know when fate will bring me this close to home again."

Malenia - [Monk - Way of the Jedi] - Auryn: Princess of Destiny
"It is our hope that she will return someday, as unlikely as that is." The soldier says. She looks over her shoulder, back to her troops that are starting to gather behind her. A few are interesting in her conversation. The rest look past her at the body of the fallen Tarrasque.
She nods one more time, then makes a 'follow me' gesture with her hand as she walks toward the enormous body. She takes her time as she moves forward.
"Where people still live, there is hope,"Stasolya says to the soldier. "The Princess yet lives, and she has not forgotten you. As Malenia says... she gave her life for you. As the Childlike Empress gave her life for Hyboria, and yet lives, for Hyboria has no other life but hers. And as the sun darkened with the death of the unicorn, so its rays feebly shine again, for the sun has no other life than the unicorn that remains. We are all connected to one another, and it is the mystery, and the silence, that we draw from to create Hyboria anew each day. As tiny drops, we can do nothing, but we do not need to fill the bucket, for it is already full. We need only to aim ourselves to land inside of it, and not outside of it where we will evaporate into the dust of Chaos."
Stasolya looks curiously at Malenia's aloof attitude, but considers that perhaps she is just worried about her home. She turns to look around again at Argos.Sometimes, our own home is where we belong, and where we can best work to save Hyboria."Argos will remain,"she says softly, looking out towards the sea again where Godzilla sinks beneath the waves."And one day, increase. Your people are safe in the catacombs... the King and Queen, though walking in sorrow, still walk with you."
The centaur makes no move to approach the enormous body of the Tarrasque, letting the soldier depart. She begins to walk slowly through the wreckage of Argos, stopping now again to turn and look at a building suddenly recognized, a familiar street strewn with rubble. The place where Atreyu's steed fell is ever marked in her memory.
"One titan comes to thrash and rend The princess comes forth, she does not bend, And turns the titan's wrath away That Argos may live another day.
One titan comes again to crush What's left of Argos' sorrowing hush. A King is woke by forces strong To come forth roaring victory's song.
O King and Princess, royals wed They stood with Order when Hyboria bled. Now those who would think only of themselves Drift away into Chaos and eventually, hell."
Malenia steps beside Judal, walking beside a Companion she believes is trustworthy. After all, Not many would choose to leap from a Roc into a burning city as two Titans found out which of them was the true King of the Monsters. While ushering Erenito accompany them. Following after the soldier, She remains quiet having said her peace. Inside however her mind was a mess, She worried for her Home. While the feeling she did get from it was comforting and familiar. With the shifting landscape of the world after what had been done, the only way to know for certain if her Home was truly still her home was to see it with her own eyes.
She had already forgotten how the air smelled there, The subtle fragrance of rotting wood mixed with a strong aroma of crimson wildflowers. How the soft earth gripped her bare foot, compared to the packed soil and hard stone she had been walking on as of late. The simple padded chair in which she sat for what must've been years while waiting for the return of Miquella.
Her brother, Only his name remained after they had spent so long apart. His name and the soft wave of Golden hair that never seamed to hold filth of any kind.
Ereni glances awkwardly between Stasolya and Malenia, her arms still around Joy. Her mouth opens and closes twice before she mumbles softly.
"Not everyone jumps from heights and not everyone sings of inner virtues. Army's got to have all types. Pikemen to withstand the charge and axemen to attack the gaps. The light cavalry to harry the flanks and the heavy to make the ground shake as they charge. Medics and healers like my father. Scouts for stealth and line mages for spells. Aye, and archers to watch them all die from a distance as they turn against each other."
She hunches her shoulders and follows the officer along with Malenia and Judal.
Flames devour the guts of stone buildings. Soldiers dig through the rubble to free one another. One man sits against a building holding the side of his face, which appears burned beyond recognition, while a medic works to sooth his pain and heal his wounds. There is something miraculous that Stasolya sees; the loss of life, the damage, could have been so much worse...and somehow it is not.
With Godzilla gone and the Tarrasque dead, many of the soldiers peel off their normal duties and begin making lines, carrying in buckets of water to fight the fires that now threaten to spread throughout the city.
For those who follow the soldier, it is much the same, though the fire damage is worse. Much, much worse. A nearby building collapses under its own weight as the wooden support beams inside burn to cinders and break, dropping the structure in a burst of smoke and dust and sparks.
Exploration of the Tarrasque's body makes it clear that it is very much dead. It's underside is fried, and huge gashes line its flanks, arms, and throat. Godzilla has savaged it utterly. Blood coats the roads in tacky sheets.
As Stasolya wanders, she pitches in with her horse power to help soldiers move rubble to free the trapped, and speaks encouragingly to those she meets. "Even in the midst of such tragedy, the Childlike Empress preserves us... this war is not over yet. A crucial blow has been dealt to the darkness." Blindingly fast in her magically shoed hooves, she begins to help with moving messages and supplies around the recovery effort. As she runs between these tasks, she slowly draws the old goat under her arm again, knowing how quiet and inadequate it will sound after the ruckus that the monsters made, and her first note is a long, wailing one that carries through the smoke and dust of debris, oddly reminiscent of Godzilla's roar, before morphing into a sad, but triumphant tune that soars in spurts and silences in between her ferrying.
"Stripping scales from it may help the carrion but I suspect this thing will be rotting and stinking up the place for miles in no time," Judal says in a bit of a hushed tone, awed by the spectacle.
"Perhaps the city should build their new walls with the scales. Mount the head above the main gates. Show the world what they survived and rebuilt from, make any who would come at them think twice. If a Tarrasque can not break them, what hope they?"
"Excellent idea Judal" Being used to traversing over difficult terrain, The Eladrin's footsteps are swift but firm as they follow the soldier over the rubble of the razed city. Her gaze cannot help but fall onto the corpse of the Tarrasque, such a mighty and terrifying titan now left to rot in what is left of Argos. From this distance she examines the scales, they certainly look sturdy and would likely make for a good defensive wall around the city.
"We could harvest one, maybe two of them. Perhaps find a smith to work them into armor or shields.....for those amongst us who use those sort of things." She looks at the other members of the answer, Of course such things would only slow her down and become more of a hinderance than a benefit. Yet there are those among them who do wear armor, the added benefit of the Tarrasque's thick scales may provide a benefit to them.
"I would be able to carry them for a time within my Bag" She gestures to the brown leather bag hanging from a strap around her shoulder. It rests against the back of her waist, It appears small yet she has shown to put things inside the bag that should not fit. Namely the Bow lent to her by Ereni.

Malenia - [Monk - Way of the Jedi] - Auryn: Princess of Destiny
Ereni has never been one to use the kind of armor or shields one might make from the scales of such a colossal monstrosity as the Tarrasque, and she is not certain anyone in the party would be either. Probably someone could use it though. As long as no more parasites come crawling out for a picnic.
As she attempts to aid in any firefighting efforts, possibly reaching places others could not for rescue with her 40' climbing speed, she also takes a moment to cast Goodberry, producing 10 dark green berries with the scent of the deep forest. Ereni hands them out to the wounded.
"Should heal you up nice in time for the next Tarrasque fight," she deadpans laconically.
Cinder follows the party, keeping her thoughts to herself for the most part. She had noticed Malenia's mood but didn't say anything. Cinder wasn't great at dealing with people and their issues. For all she knew it was fatigue from the fight she had been a part of. As far as the tiefling was concerned, Malenia would bring it up if she had an issue. While the other members of the Answer discussed the Tarrasque and possibly using it's parts, Cinder began to cast Control Flames using multiple castings of the spell to slowly douse the worst of the flames around her. She focused mainly of the fires near people letting the flames that wouldn't cause much harm to burn a little while longer.
It was a sad thing, seeing the flames go out. Like watching something die. But the people of Argos had done nothing to deserve a burnt out husk of a city. At least not that she knew of. Other places she would gladly watch burn, and had in the past. But Argos wasn't one of those places.
All the talk of harvesting does spur one idea in Judal. With it in mind he takes a short walk to the very front of the beast, to look the gift horse in the mouth so to speak... Judal looks into the mouth of the Tarrasqueto see if perhaps there is a tooth the size of a dagger, or perhaps sword, that could be cut out. Likely as not it wouldn't make a particularly effective weapon but it sure would be one hell of a conversation piece...
Once that is done (or decided there is no dental pieces worth such preserving) Judal turns back to the others and says "So... Home then? Then carry on with the mission?"
While Stasolya and Cinder's efforts are noticed while they help the defenders as well as put out some of the flames. Many of the soldiers thank them, but there are no common folks, no civilians to see their selfless acts or kindnesses.
Cutting scales (and sword sized teeth) from the Tarrasque proves to be a feat in and of itself, but both implements are strong, and clearly will make great materials for crafting.
As she hands out a Goodberry to those who look in need of it, Ereni, uses her Primal Awareness to Speak with Animals.
She first checks that Joy is doing all right and not overly spooked by all the fires and destruction. Then, she asks Joy to help her sniff out possible surviving soldiers trapped in the rubble or in a building. She (Ereni) uses her own 40' climb speed to attempt to free those that she can.
Still not feeling right about the apparent rift in the party, but unsure what to do about it, Ereni is ready to follow Malenia to her mountain home.
Malenia busies herself with scouting out the area, Taking advantage of her precise footwork and quick reflexes to reach places the regular soldiers are unable to. In an effort to find as many surviving defenders of the city who may be pinned under high piles of rubble or difficult to reach areas. During this time she does not speak, instead she elcts to let her feelings boil inside of her. Twice now, while in Argos members of this group had chosen their best interest over that of the greater good.
Helping Judal collect a Tarrasque tooth and Two tarrasque scales, Maleniastuffs the large and thick scales into the bag at her side. Before finally deciding to confront who she believed was at fault. Softly, on the pads of her foot she leaps across the debris and straight towards the centaur, The Auryn Bearer of Andromeda's Answer, Stasoyla.
"Stasoyla, We need to speak."Her tenor comes across in a hush, if not determined. She is not trying to hide her displeasure with the Auryn Bearers actions during both attacks of Argos. "When first we met, Near a month ago now you knowingly put innocent lives in danger, and today. You chose to stand by and watch, when your actions. As small as they may have been could have meant the differnce between One soldier falling or a Hundred. You are an Auryn bearer and for a time, I thought you the best of us. With your idleness I find myself questioning that, If you truly want to help. Truly want to make this land better in the name of Andromeda, then why did you stand by and watch as her city burned."

"Stand by and watch?" Stasolya turns in surprise to Malenia. "Nearly everyone did, when the Kraken came. I watched, but I did many other things as well. What do you think I did that knowingly put innocents in danger? What would you have liked me to do?"
"And as for today---again, what would you have liked me to do? Our outcome is achieved. Godzilla would not have come if I had not helped the fight against the Gmork so that we could then awaken him, which we did. So tell me---what would you like to have seen, instead?"

With your idleness I find myself questioning that, If you truly want to help. Truly want to make this land better in the name of Andromeda, then why did you stand by and watch as her city burned."
Malenia - [Monk - Way of the Jedi] - Auryn: Princess of Destiny
"Stand by and watch?" Stasolya turns in surprise to Malenia. "Nearly everyone did, when the Kraken came. I watched, but I did many other things as well. What do you think I did that knowingly put innocents in danger? What would you have liked me to do?"
"And as for today---again, what would you have liked me to do? Our outcome is achieved. Godzilla would not have come if I had not helped the fight against the Gmork so that we could then awaken him, which we did. So tell me---what would you like to have seen, instead?"
