'Not so well, actually,' Ainsley says. 'I heard some weird footsteps last night above the bunker and that kept me up. Did anyone else hear anything last night? And that stir fry looks amazing, would I be able to try some?'
"A new species in a matter of days? Hardly seems possible. That sort of thing takes... Well, many lifetimes. Although... If anyone wanted to go take a look with me to verify, I'll admit to a certain amount of curiosity."
"I was fast asleep so I didn´t hear anything, but there has to be something alive up there if you heard footsteps." Gwin says and hands a plate of the stir fry to Ainsley. "Maybe they sounded weird because whatever it is out there is injured? We know how many cuts and bruises Hin and Sheerow had when they arrived." She asks and continues eating.
"Anyway, I am up if anyone wants to check the outside. We should at the very least map the area around the bunker."
"i would love to get out of here even for a few minutes, i'm with you mr blue. also, not possible gwin, i know how a injured animal sounds like. . . i was a hunter before the world went downhill, it was my job to know everything about wild animals, both to protect myself and to track them. maybe i could be wrong, i need to at least see his footseps to check if it was limping" he looks around "we have a search party then! perfect~"
"If you guys don't mind, Sheerow and I are going to stay inside. I have to clean up in the kitchen and well... we've had our fair share of the world above, if you know what I mean." Hin then stays silent for the rest of the meal.
(ooc: So, in my next post I'll move on with the group to the 'great outdoors'. Feel free to describe your characters preparing for the outside world, grabbing whatever you feel like you might need.)
Ainsley:
Your spiders, after about an hour, have nothing else to report. No movements in the bushes, no strange sounds other than the wind.

Emelina looks to the others "Please wait for an hour as I prepare to call on a friend." She heads to the kitchen and pantry looking for herbs. She gathers an small handful and throws them into a small pot. She closed her eye and chants as she slowly stirs the herbs. An hour passes and a spirit comes, its nebulous form condenses into a small owl. "I will name you Melly"

valkas grabs his bow, a pen and something that he could draw a map on- this was technically a new world, and needed to be cartographed. he walked alongside thomas, staying in the bunker door, waiting for the others
No, Mr. Blue, there isn't anything already made in terms of traps, nor is there any extra scrap materials such as rope that you could use to fashion a trap out of. However, if you have any Hemp Rope in your personal inventory, or any other materials that could be used to make a trap (within reason), I'll have you roll for the appropriate skill when the time comes. I'll also allow you to use your Tinker's Tools to see what you can make. Additionally, I'll allow you to forage for materials outside.
Gwin grabs a light hammer from one of her many pockets and joins the others at the door. "Anything you think we should check out once we're out there?"She asks when she passes by Hin.
"Not really, other than anything that interests you guys of course." Hin and Sheerow are busy putting away the food and plates on the table, and they both disappear into the kitchen.

As Ainsley feels the spiders depart, she thanks them for their help.
'I can help us stay hidden as we scout out the land around the bunker, at least for an hour' Ainsley says.
She reaches into a pouch at her waste, and pulls out a leaf of mistletoe and a sprig of spruce. She casts Produce Flame and burns the leaf, and then casts Pass Without Trace on the entire party in that room in the bunker.
She grabs her quarterstaff and says, 'I am ready to go.'
"Uh... Don't take this the wrong way, Hin: are you the type to lock us out if we leave for a moment? I think it would be an illogical choice, what with the difficulty of surviving long term, but we did just meet."
After about an hour of preparation, you all feel like you're ready to go. Prepped with food, weapons, and what you feel are the necessary supplies, you wait around for Mr. Blue to get back from the kitchen before casting Pass Without Trace.
"You trusted us enough to let us in when we were in need. I wouldn't think of not showing you the same kindness," Hin says, turning around to look at you, Mr. Blue. His voice is sincere, and you can tell that he's telling the truth. He stands open and unguarded, facing you completely. "And, you make a good point. It wouldn't be smart to lock you guys out; strength in numbers hasn't ever been more true. Be safe out there." With that, he turns back around and continues his work in the kitchen with Sheerow.
Just before they leave, Ainsley also casts Conjure Animals, conjuring up 8 spiders, which she leaves in the kitchen. She's a little wary of leaving the bunker, their home, solely in the care of relative strangers, and istructs them to keep an eye on Hin and Sherrow while they're out for as long as the spell lasts.

"yes i heard that too. got only to sleep for a small time heh. i don't think it's from some beast catalogued, it must be some kind of new species."
Mr Blue perks up.

Emelina asks "I slept through the night and did not hear anything. Strange foot steps. Could it be another survivor?"
'Yes, that sounds like a good idea,' Ainsley says. 'We should try to see if there are other survivors out there.'
She begins eating some of the stir fry, and compliments the chefs on the food.

Mr Blue will gather up some food, in case there's something to be lured into the open.
Are there materials enough to set some kind of trap? Something safe, not looking to kill anything.
