As Bjorn talks to Fist, Sparhawk whispers to Vars (not too quietly, just not trying to be rude), "My friend, I think some upgrades to your weapons and armor are in order for your hard work." He winks at Fist and pats Eberk on the shoulder for a job well done. (Like a football coach at the end of a game)
Bjorn explains about the gigantic minotaur and how he betrayed Bernard's gang to run off with the missing loot. "And I'm telling ye, this bastard was BIG. Like, sleeps on two beds lined up in a row, big."
"I can't really explain why, but I feel like Abernath the Infernal is tied up in this. And after what happened at his empty mansion, well... If you need this loot back, you may want to look for a team with years of experience, who were all born yesterday." He shrugs as if to suggest it's hopeless. "Unless your army of sailors includes a certain ferryman, I can't see going after it, personally."

“Hotep is a biggun for sure..strange he would run off. Bernard was like his brother. Not sure what the infernal has to do with this, but my sources say the chest the Minotaur ran off with has links to red wizards…again, It seems out of Bernard’s ability and league to steal such a thing. Let me see the letter you found on Bernard.”
"Sure." Bjorn presents the letter. "It was trapped when we got it, too. So, either Bernard never opened it, or somebody sealed it back up after he did."
(Wasn't the letter sealed with a poison seal? I thought at least Eberk was awake for that.)
( yes, it had poison gas)
Fist takes the letter and looked at the broken seal/trap before opening the letter and reading its contents...
" Hmmm, you are very lucky the trap did not kill you, nasty poison..." Fist looks a bit worried after reading the letter.
" Sooo, Grin'dal is back. Now it makes more sense. This just got more interesting. If Grin'dal wants that artifact, that means I need it. Since you have proven both trustworthy and effective I will give you first dibs on this job. 5000gp for bringing me the artifact. 10,000gp if you can kill Grin'dal and bring me his head. No blood contract required for this one.
Sparhawk smiles and pats Fist on the shoulder. "Funny, I felt the same way about him."
"Bjorn, you wanna handle this one?"
Sparhawk gives Frangipani back her claimed items and throws in a few pieces of Jerky, in case she is thinking of taking a bite of anyone present.
Vars smiles at the jab Fist made towards Smithe. Without that... nuisance in the room, Vars feels a little more at ease.
He nods to Bjorn, having nothing he can say about the Minotaur...and nothing he wants to say about the letter.

"Heh, I think we all do," Vars says in response to Sparhawk's comment.
Frangipani shoves stuff back in her pockets, " Yes. You all bleed a lot."
“So where do you think Bernard was headed?” Sparhawk asks Fist “and was he being paid by someone else to steal something?”
”I do wonder how Abernath and Bernard are connected” Sparhawk muses to himself.
Cool
So to save time, grab me an estimate for trading remaining weapons/ armor,
party can then pick some stuff between adventures
could we purchase uncommon items, common magic items?

“ I had assumed Bernard was headin to hole up with his kin in the Crags…but now I ain’t so sure”
"Vars, Bjorn, give Fist the letter Bernard was carrying." Sparhawk winks at Eberk, knowing that while he slept, the two got into it.
"Sure." Bjorn presents the letter. "It was trapped when we got it, too. So, either Bernard never opened it, or somebody sealed it back up after he did."
Hearing trapped, Sparhawk looks at Bjorn and raises an eyebrow, then figures his friend has some sort of angle he’s working with Fist.
Eberk catches the looks at Sparhawk, confused. When Bjorn brings up a trap, Eberk wracks his brain, unable to figure out what they are talking about.

“I like your style my friend.” Sparhawk looks at his fat employer.
what should we know about this guy and where might we find him?”
“And what kind of artifact does he have?”
Eberk watches Fist closely, trying to gauge if they are being told the full truth about this new job opportunity.

(Not trustworthy exactly, but we will have lots of different options to discuss, and we still need to talk with Irongrass again and discuss the house)
