Sparhawk winks at Vars, quite aware of their inside joke "Good thinking Vars. Reginald, Lir, Frangipani, any insight into this strange but wonderous sight?"
Sparhawk will investigate the statues, their color, and the colors on the key for any clues to a pattern: Investigation: 12
The colors are red, green, blue, and yellow.. the colors on the key have many more variations and have a deliberate pattern. It is likely the lock it goes too would have corresponded patterns to match
Vars looks around, "Alright... well this is getting more interesting." He walks up to the statues and peers up at the gemstones, "I'm going to assume we don't want to touch those without significant caution," he shoots Bjorn a meaningful glance before turning his attention back to the statues. "The question here is... does this have any purpose other then to provide the master of the house with a personal magic fish tank?" He looks around the base of the aquarium for anything that might indicate further significance besides...well that there is a floating mass of water with fish inside.
Investigation: 12
At the end of the room the floor space seem a perfect place for viewing the fish and you can see evidence at one time there were several small tables or maybe chairs from scuffs on the tile. You notice most of the fish you would recognize are quite popular and tasty.

" Seafood restaurant."
" This is like the setup we had for the feasts for Mothers birthday, the meals were kept in a central cell and the diners could select the one that was most appealing and have it taken off to the kitchen to be prepared. There should be a way through to the kitchen from one of these exits; the dumbwaiter I guess....but it seems inefficient.."
Bjorn quietly puts his crowbar back into his pack.
"This would be quite the tourist destination, if it weren't in the middle of nowhere." He appears lost in thought, dreaming up ways to turn the location into a stream of easy revenue.
"I think you are right," Vars says to Frangipani, gesturing at the scuff marks on the floor. He eyes the fish inside the floating water, wondering how on earth they were still alive if they weren't getting proper care. At the same time, he is also silently hoping that buying this map wasn't a mistake...he hadn't bought it hoping to find some dwarf's hidden restaurant. What sort of lost treasure is this?
Frangipani moved up and tried to run her hand through the water...
Frangipani's hand brushes through the water with ease. There is only the slightest resistance going in and coming out. The nearby fish seem to dart nearer thinking her fingers are maybe food of some kind
"I"m wondering if the key here activates the ovens or kitchen area." He looks around for a key hole. "Lets look around a few more minutes here and then I think we should explore the water again."

As Sparkhawk turns to return to the kitchen to look for a key hole he realizes to doorway is no longer an actual doorway, but a mural of a doorway painted with precise perspective. Only a real close look reveals the paint on the wall
"So Bjorn, I have a theory." He looks at him and catches his attention. "Help me think this through. I am thinking this place was a fancy restarant known for its sea food. The teleportation wall brings in guests from somewhere else. If the place was famous, rich guests and those of great repute would come here." He continues to think. "The entrance we entered with the rocks in front was for our famous cook and likely his staff. A back door of sorts with some security measures to keep out the unwelcome. The corridor with the teleportation wall is how the guests arrived. they obviously did not go to the bedroom. So, I believe the wall would teleport to somewhere that is populated, such as Mirabar itself, or perhaps even farther. Its gotta be a two way teleport to someplace. I"m not sure if we have figured out this key yet. The water in the cave seems to go a long way. Perhaps a way to access oceans and get the types of fish our big nosed chef was after." He looks at the clever Bjorn, and the group. "Any other theories, I feel our time here is short as we have other things to attend to."

Bjorn quietly puts his crowbar back into his pack.
"This would be quite the tourist destination, if it weren't in the middle of nowhere." He appears lost in thought, dreaming up ways to turn the location into a stream of easy revenue.
From behind Bjorns back is heard the squawk of a seagull. Sparhawk looks at Frangipani and nods his head left to right in disapproval.
"I think you are right," Vars says to Frangipani, gesturing at the scuff marks on the floor. He eyes the fish inside the floating water, wondering how on earth they were still alive if they weren't getting proper care. Lir is curious about the fish themselves, monitors them to see if they behave normally or are not natural in some way -
Animal Handling: 20
"Someone took the natural world and made it - artificial. This is a stage. A performance." He makes a disgusted sound.
They look natural and healthy, except for the fact that salt water and freshwater fish are swimming in the same water.
Frangipani moved up and tried to run her hand through the water...
Frangipani's hand brushes through the water with ease. There is only the slightest resistance going in and coming out. The nearby fish seem to dart nearer thinking her fingers are maybe food of some kind
“Dumb question but can anyone here speak with these creatures?” Sparhawk wonders. “We have this key, let’s figure out what it’s for”
" I can be their friend...but not talk to them currently.....fish are generally very boring to talk to anyway."
“So are most people”
"...get the map seller out of the picture, of course, otherwise he would demand a cut..."
Bjorn nods at the idea to move on. "If this was a business, there might be a safe for money."
“Hum, I wonder if the key opens up this room to the dining area?” He keeps looking near the stoves for a key hole.
Frangipani is physically restraining herself from diving into the water ball....
Sparhawk continues to look for a key hole.
