[OOC: I really don't see us getting caught. But, there's always the "we actually were putting it back" excuse, if all else fails, lol. I really don't mind if anyone wants to bail on the scheme. I don't want Bjorn's audacity to get you into trouble, and there's no reason for potential captors to think a scheme like this required accomplices, so you'd be in the clear.]
[Mostly I'm just worried I might fall and knock myself out lol]
Vars reaches up and grabs Bjorn by whatever clothing is in reach, "Forget it, even if you can get that thing out the wizards would be able to connect the theft back to us. We are the only one's here, so who else would have taken it?" Normally Vars would be on Bjorn's side, as he's not one to back down from a challenging feat of thievery, but since we've already announced our presence, he doesn't think it the best idea. His eyes flick to the door, then back up to Bjorn. "Get back down now. No one wants to die today."
As Bjorn attempts to hammer in his pitons, he realizes the do not penetrate the arcane stone. People who know Luskan history know the original tower was magically grown and not built per se, and after the initial towers destruction so long ago, it began to grow back on its own. It took many years and powerful mages to shape it into what it is today.
Having failed at the piton strategy, Bjorn thinks he can maybe use the shape of the building to his advantage and begins to climb. Indeed he is successful to about 15’ up the curved structure. Bjorn, make an athletic check to see if you can make the rest of the climb.
( Sparhawk can indeed proceed to the doors to knock if he wishes)
As Bjorn attempts his insane scheme, a green energy forms in the air before the group, taking the shape of a man’s face.
His head is cleanly shaved, his skin a deep brown. He was tightly trimmed goatee with no mustache. There is a golden arcane symbol embedded into his forehead.
” Welcome to the Arcane tower, I am Kutoti Irongrass, sometimes called the Ironmage. What can I aid you with in this late hour?”
A couple of feet off the ground, with Vars's hand on his wrapped cloth sandal (apparently that's what I wear instead of boots at this time, lol), Bjorn freezes as the talking head appears. He begins to very quietly step back down.
As Bjorn attempts to climb back down, he finds he is unable to move back down. His hands and feet seem to be stuck to the building.
” Very Well, an audience is granted”
A green light surrounds everyone ( except for Bjorn) and in a flash you are transported to the dome on the southern side of the tower. A gentle green light fills the space and you can see the “room” is filled with lush, tropical plants of various types. There is a ring of thick, luxurious cushions on the ground with a tray of drinks and some bread and cheese.
” come and sit. Have some refreshments and let’s discuss this urgent business of yours.” Kutoti says. His face sports a smile and seems very welcoming. He takes a seat on one of the cushions, sitting with legs crossed.
Vars looks briefly at his hand, which had been holding onto Bjorn's sandal, then quickly lets it fall to his side. "Ah, thank you." He says, glancing at Sorsha, he moves to take a seat across from Kutoti. Once seated, he slides his hand into his pocket, fishing for the missing poster he'd taken from the docks. He doesn't pull it out yet, waiting to see if anyone else wanted to mention the letter first.
Sorsha flinches as the green light surrounds her but she quickly collects herself as she finds herself standing in the chambers of Ironmage surronded by lush, tropical plants. She too takes a seat, at the wizards right side, waiting to speak until the rest of her crew has found their places, quickly noting Bjorn is not among them, but that would have to wait. "Thank you for seeing us Ironmage, we have come here to discuss the missing Abernath the Infernal, but first..." She says, producing the letter hidden in her form-fitted armour. "...we will deliver this, a message from Arcturo Harpell, out of Longsaddle."
[Bjorns in quite a predicament. Like when a person licks a freezing pole and their tongue gets stuck on it. Very funny. The character will probably still be hanging there when the party leaves.]
As Bjorn sticks to the Tower, pondering his fate and watching as his friends vanish before his eyes, a seagull lands on his shoulder and seems to settle in for the time being. A few moments later another one joins him…
“Ahhh, the letter Mr Fist mentioned to me.”
And he takes the letter from your hands. He passes a hand over the letter while saying something in an unknown language. “ it is good for you Mr Fist’s trust in you wasn’t misplaced, I would hate to think of what horror would have befell you had you tried to open or peer inside this letter.”
He shakes his hand and the letter disappears into a puff and another appears in its place. “ Please deliver this to Mr Fist, under the same trust,” he says as he hands the new letter to Sasha
” you did beautiful work on those oversized crustaceans. I was about to send some flaming comets to the beach, but didn’t want to rob you of your glory. The First Ship has already been informed and he will likely be calling upon you for an audience. Such a beast will likely earn you a bit of gold, and definitely some clout…which in Luskan is worth more than gold.”
he laughs a bit. “ now, you have mentioned my good friend Abernath. do you have some information on his status to share?”
Vars fingers the missing poster within his pocket, "We are interested in pursuing his case as our next job. However, we would need to know the details about his disappearance. Where was he last seen? What was he doing in that location? Does he have any enemies who might have been involved. And such." He pauses, "And forgive me for asking, but we lot have been down on our luck lately, so we can't afford to take a job without knowing what it pays. Could you fill us in there as well?"

[Sparhawk likes Irongrass. He is straightforward and appreciative. He also likes that he does not beat around the bush.] Also, Divine Sense (just to check his alignment and see if there is anything else unseen/ good or evil in the area. Sparhawk, despite liking Irongrass, also finds him somewhat overly friendly (Insight check as well)21
"Yes, we would of course not even consider breaking the trust of Mr. Fist, or you for that matter Ironmage. I am fortunate to be part of a competent crew."She says, looking around at Vars, Sparhawk, Eberk and Frangipani. "I have no doubt we are ready for other assignments and as Vars here mentioned we are considering taking on finding Abernath the Infernal if you could give us a briefing on the case."

Eberk picks up a cup of tea and takes a sip. He grimaces at the taste and begins pouring into the cup from a small flask. He tastes the tea again, which seems to be more to his liking. As the Irongrass talks, Eberk listens and watches with intent. He tries to figure out the wizards true intent in speaking to the group.
Bjorn glowers at the birds. "Come to gloat at my misfortune, have you? The others are likely enjoying fine pastries and tea, while I am here stuck to this wall. Well, seek your entertainment elsewhere, for this is hardly a setback for Bjorn!" He looks out in the direction of the bridge and yells, "Guards! Guards!"

You insight shows him to be genuine and of neutral to good alignment. He isn’t as much overly friendly as he is overly hospitable. His people are from a desert region in which they are famous for their hospitality to invited guests as they are known for their brutality against their enemies.

"We seek and audience with you to discuss Abernath the Infernal." Sorsha says to the green energy face.
"Yes," Vars tries not to look at Bjorn as he speaks. "Forgive us for coming late, but we have...an important matter to discuss with you."
[Eh, the important part is I tried, lol.]

"Master Irongrass, I just want to add that we are fortunate to have found you on this dark evening." Sparhawk smiles genuinely.
