Bjorn will give each bird the agreed-upon food, but before he pays bird 5, (so it won't fly away immediately), he says, "I can give you this food, but if you take us to the secret place, I'll give you double. Deal?"
And he turns to the team and says, "I think I've got a lead, but please don't ask me to explain." He chuckles mirthlessly. "Two can play at the seagull game..."
The seagull eagerly agrees and flies over to the center of Dock 3 and settles next to another seagull on a post there
Bjorn frowns, wondering if the birds have somehow learned to lie, perhaps by living in close proximity to pirates for so long. "This doesn't look very secret to me. And there's no big man, either. What's the meaning of this?"
He looks over to the party. "Isn't this the place where that fisher got attacked?"
"Ah, I think I see. Thank you." He gives the seagull its reward, keeping an eye on the sedentary "secret seagull" as he does. [I'm guessing it doesn't react. If I'm right,] he steps back to the party and points at the inanimate bird. "It's a decoy. But why?"
"I still see nothing, but would guess its a secret passageway of some sort (either mechanical or spell)?" Sparhawk hopes one of the group has sharper eyes than he does.
Eberk looks around the dock for any other signs on or near the dock.
Perception: 14
( it would be investigation checks)
Eberk takes a closer look at the post the birds are sitting on and can see the top has a carved 3. Down towards the bottom there are some graffiti carvings. Some initials, a curse word or two. There are three carvings of booze bottles. You can tell they are booze by the 3 X’s on the carved labels on each bottle

No activity from the secret gull. The living full takes his reward and flies off, probably to brag to the other gUlls about its double share of grub
"Frangipani, would a swim be in order?" Sparhawk suggests with caution in his voice. Those crabs were dangerous, and no doubt, there could be other creatures lurking in the water.
" Skinny?", she quipped.
As she followed the others and observed the feathered conversation, she mused, " Submersible dock? They're rare but a wizard is the most likely to have one...."

Sorsha gives Bjorn a curious smile after seing him feeding the seagulls. "I would prefer it if you would let us in on what you're planning to do."
Bjorn sighs. "I suppose you could say I'm learning to think like a wizard. This one says it saw our man's hiding place."
"That's one impressive skill you got there Bjorn, can you convince it to show us where to find him?" Sorsha asks, tiliting her head.
Rolling his eyes, Bjorn mutters, "let it never be said that I hold a grudge."
"Its would be easy enough to hide something in one of those cracks or crevices in that cliff." Sparhawk observes.

Portioning out the food, Bjorn looks around in mild confusion. "Hm. This seagull here knows something?" He beckons the others over.
Vars follows wordlessly, watching the seagulls curiously.

The seagull looks at Bjorn with its mouth open, waiting for its promised reward. The seagull it is sitting next to, doesn’t move at all.

"Easy to hide, but difficult to get there. Goliaths like Fist are known for climbing, but we're... not. I hope he's not over there."

"Nice work Bjorn," Vars says as he moves to investigate the decoy seagull.
