While you are playing around with the grotesque arm, you begin to feel a little queasy. You notice the gems in the arm begin to glow, very faintly and the root-like ends of the arm seem to grow a tiny bit.
You all get rest and relax as best you can and are now rdy to move on. Luckily nothing has passed Into the area you are resting and you havent even heard the whispers and quite some time.
The mighty paladin rises, renewed and refreshed. “Alright crew, we’ve got a few options. This arch way here, the door already opened and the other doors” I don't see a problem now taking the stuff in these boxes.” He looks at the group
“Thoughts? Anyone gotta theory about our friend, Abernath?" ”Hey, where’s the arms and necklace of the They wizard woman?”

"Man's gotta be dead." Bjorn is peering into the skulls where the gas came out, trying to see the delivery mechanism. Investigation: 21 "He'd have shown up when we took his staff or his book."
He straightens up and indicates the seemingly evil objects. "These? Look." Bjorn opens up the magic book that tried to kill Lir, and points to the drawings of the necklace and gems. "This here's the book that Soft-bottom got from Thay. Those would be Thay artifacts." He shrugs. "If the other Thay artifact is anything to go by, they're probably worth a fortune to somebody."
The way he seems to look past Sparhawk to some imaginary land of riches and luxury suggests he's not as nonchalant as he seems about this. Perhaps he's trying to let the crew imagine the value of the things and outvote the uncomfortable captain on the matter of keeping them.
“Hum. Good observations. The mystery of these Thay artifacts seems to be coming together.” Sparhawk taking Bjorn at his word. “I think we can hear his voice in the other area so maybe captured or ethereal ?”
”How did you cast that spell Bjorn? That was powerful magic! Did the ‘book’ lash out at Lir?”
“Does the book hint at the magic of this necklace and ‘arms’
Sparhawk is quite ready to get out of this place and move toward their other missions.
“This magic stuff is unfortunately much more powerful than I think we can handle. Let’s figure out how to get out of here and move to our next mission. We can always report back to Irongrass when we return.”

Looking at the mechanics of the trap all you can tell is that the trigger is a simple plunger that is intended to be pulled out when the chest lid is opened. Releasing the gas. You all were fortunate the trip wire separated from the lid so the gas was slowly released instead of instantly.
"Yeah" Sparhawk says slowly, listening to everyone. "We've got a book attacking people, strange magical constructs, god or god like things talking in our heads, and from what I can tell, cursed magical artifacts that are quite dangerous, Bjorn casting some sort of death magic." He looks at the group, "so....I'm ready for some fresh air. As this room with the chests was trapped and the arch was open, meaning it was an open invitation to go that way..." he pauses again, "We will go through the door that Bjorn opened for us. Gather what you will from these chests, lets put these items from the wizard of They and the book in this backback (If there is a small chest in the larger chests, he'll use that, otherwise, he pulls off his pack, attaching it to his 10ft pole, (like a pole with a pack on the end and rearranges the remainder of his items) "We are putting the book, arms, and necklace in here and one of us can pull it behind us."
"Ok, take what you want from the chests, and lets go, 5 minutes."
As Sparhawk gathers his things and creates a bag to carry the cursed (We think) items on the long pole. "Eberk, did you see if any of this gear was magical. If so, are the arms magical or just the jewels in the arms?"
(DWAR: How hard to carry the money from chest 1. (2000gp?)
"Lets gather those gems from the second chest....and, lets leave the third chest alone. Don't wanna set up any more trouble."
"Yes, about that, I didn't like that Skull much, some things are better off destroyed." He smiles. "Well see about these other things. They seem to be trouble to me." He thinks for a minute, noting Bjorns peculiar behavior of late since running into the god and book.
"Bjorn, remind me......why are we taking the book, arms and necklace again that make me throw up?"
He looks at Bjorn in complete seriousness and sincerity, not knowing if there is really an issue.
