(We will continue traveling unless it gets too hot, then will use Lir and Frangipani's mist/ water to help keep us cool) "It may be that traveling early morning and in the evening would work better in this area than in the heat of the day."
Seeing the wisdom of Eberk, he covers his armor as best he can with fabric so it does not absorb as much of the suns heat. He puts his shield over his head as a sort of sun shade to protect his head and back.
"Let us continue for a bit and adjust our schedule to deal with this heat better."
And so does Frangipani. You will have to work to remember to drink your fluids. Each segment of the day you should include a water intake posting. For level one saving throws are at disadvantage until full rest has been had
"Frangipani, you are a fountain of life in this heat fire inferno of a place. Never thought I'd say this but I miss the sea. Crew, we will move slower, take more breaks, and if we get more tired, lets take a longer break and travel at night or early morning. Eberk, keep an eye on us, and me."
“I’m not feeling great. You don’t look so good either. Id be happy to travel at night, it’ll be much cooler and if we get in a scuffle, I can help some of you out with seeing in the dark.”
You settle down for the rest of the afternoon under the protection of Eberks magic hut.
As the sun starts to lower in the sky, you can hear the buzzing of swarms of mosquitoes all about outside the hut. Some of them land on the shelter and you can see they are pretty beefy suckers, much larger than from back home. They apparently get plenty to feed on here. Every so often, the sky lights up as more flaming boulders sail forth from the volcanoes. Luckily, they seem to mostly hit a long ways from your position.
At nearly Midnight you begin to rise having gotten a solid cycle of sleep. The air outside is filled with the sounds of insects and other creatures. The night sky is clear and the half-moon is high in the sky providing a bit of ambient light.
Hoping that it is cooler outside, Sparhawk takes out the scroll tube with insect repellant Alright crew, lots of bugs out there. Lets apply this ointment and head out. Bjorn, stay in between a few of us and follow our lead. I think the rest of us can see alright in the night. We'll travel slowly, keep an eye out for that quicksand." (We will still travel at a slow pace, and drink and eat to stay hydrated. We will go until the sun starts to get hot again (say 10am.)
You make your way along the lake, completely un bothered by the mosquito swarms thanks to the strong salve. The moonlight provides good visibility aiding your night vision. 20

If the group agrees, Eberk will sit down and do a ritual casting of Leomund’s Tiny Hut.
" Do it."
"It's no wonder ye don't hear about folk coming to Chult by choice. Let's try it. Can't be worse than traveling in the day."
(We’ll take a long rest in Eberks hut, cool off, and travel 9pm-9am, most of us have dark vision)
" The jungle is nice, I don't mind the humidity at all......but this area has too much fire...."
