@ Nartsin: The mayor opens a drawer from his desk and brings out a small piece of parchment and lays it on the desk for everyone to see. "We have already mapped and marked the spot based on eyewitness accounts. It is within the farthest tunnel of the mine, about the point where it starts to go ten feet deep. You may keep the map in case you get lost finding it. About the illness though, symptoms seem to be stagnant as of late, but we fear that it may get worse soon. My guess would be that if someone would get sick by natural means now, then the amplification effect would still take place. This is why we have isolated our worse cases inside the local tavern."
@Rosado: "You're friend speaks true. If newcomers were to really need protection from this illness, then you all would've gotten ill as soon as you entered the boundaries of the town. At least, that is what we believe."
@Fionn: "We have two priests of separate deities here in our town. One is of Goibhnhiu, god of smiths. The other is of Lugh, god of commerce. They only have a limited knowledge in natural healing, but when it comes to magic I'm afraid to say that they are at their limits."
@Bayrith: You would assume through your readings that those affected would momentarily be well after being subjected to a dispel magic spell, but you're not sure whether or not it'll be permanent. You also know that this is a very historical spell, something that probably dates before the First Farers even landed on Albion. Though the means in which this spell can be cast again is lost, stories about it are still prevalent, if a bit obscure.
"The town needs your help adventurers. Cough cough. I trust that you can find the cause of all our sufferings swiftly and with care. I wish you all the luck in your endeavors."
Alban and Adelbertha both bid you farewell, giving you the map of the mines and with Adelbertha escorting you towards the door. As you exit the town hall, you manage to get a vantage point view of the entire town.
You can see in the middle of it is a large, half moon building that you can guess from the old man's instructions is the local church. You can also see further out are several piles of some dark materials that some of you can identify as iron ore.
The entirety of the town looks very sad. You can almost see this sort of metaphorical, grey atmosphere covering the entire area, giving you the sense that the people have suffered hard. They're longing for this curse to end...
Narstin looks around at the people they can see. I feel there is no time to waste. We should get to the mine as quickly as possible to try to find the source of this illness.
Bayrith looking through his notebook as he is reciting them back to himself, follows the others out.
"Gentlemen, I agree with everyone's sentiment. We need to head into the mine and find the root of this problem. There are some ancient stories about this type of magic, more myths actually than stories. Ive read some in a few of the ancient manuscripts. We need to take care of this soon, because there is no telling what could happen if this is left unchecked."
He then snaps his book shut and stuffs it into a pocket. He tightens the straps on his pack and checks his odds and ends, stuffing loose papers deeper into pockets and pouches. He snatches up his spell book that half dangles from a strap and half stuffed into a strange homemade holster, he opens it up and takes a quick look through it all, nodding to himself with satisfaction.
Narstin looks down at the map. Looks like we've got a hike ahead of us. It's a bit of a ways out of town. This way. He starts walking towards the mine.
You all march down south, along the road that stretches from where you all entered the town until a few moments later you reach a crossroad. Going to the right and walking a few more distances away, you come upon a building with an open space at the side filled with mounds and piles of rocks and stone. A sign near the entrance of the building says "Deepstone Mining & Iron Co.". One of the windows has a small wooden board with a piece of parchment tacked on it, the writing too small at this distance to be readable.
Over the distance, you can just about see the mine's entrance: a large opening made on a side of a hill.
"The Deepstone Mining & Iron Co. is currently closed due to arcane circumstances. All work will continue once the problem has been solved. Inquiries regarding investments and other such matters will still be entertained."
As you peer into the window, you see what seems like a lobby with a desk near one of the walls. You note that it looks like someone has been inside recently.

OOC: would I know of anything pertaining to this through my arcana studies? I am proficient in Arcana. Arcana: 17
Rosado: "Aye, bloody curse."
Rosado pats his sword "If me sword can do any good then let's do it. It's a pain in me dwarf heart to see mine in a bad shape"

Let's get moving.
Rosado "to the mine!"

Rosado "do ye want to visit chapel before we deep into the mine holy boy?"
Narstin looks around at the people they can see. I feel there is no time to waste. We should get to the mine as quickly as possible to try to find the source of this illness.
Fionn looks over at Rosado, I dont think that is necessary at this time, they have enough issues as it is

Rosado takes crossbow out and moves first in the direction of mine entrance
"Aye Bayrith, Let us see if we remeber how to be a dwarf in a mine"
After few step Rosado looks back at other "well..Any of ye know where it is?"
