Picking a practice sword that mimics his familiar Longsword in length and heft as much as possible, Logan goes into the ring and raises his shield and blade. Doing honors to the senior officer attending (Sir Isteval), he nods his readiness and awaits the signal to lay on.

Not without some difficulties Dr. A. makes to the desired section, not as big as he was expecting but to Kavian it was an impressive collection of books and parchments with two shelves dedicated to history. After a quick search Dr. A. is quite pleased to have found a couple of books that he would like to read; "The Search of a Lifetime. Diaries of Professor Humpegulestin on his research of netherse culture" and "Lost Chornicles of Myth Drannor" by Lindaren Softleave.
Logan:
The circle closes behind him, not in a meanicing or entraping way, but for all of the others to be able to see it clearly. The squire, maese Rackmoore it seems, salutes the general, the master and finally him.
"What are you waiting for guys? " says Master Oenomaus "A formal letter of invitation? "
With that the fight starts and they launch themselves towards the other.
( Racmoore's Initiative: 6
Rackmoore's attack: Attack: 8 Damage: 6
NOTE: All damage in this combat will be subdual, so after it real damage will be only 5% of total damage received and everyone will have a new set of bruises)
The attack of the squire is slow, Logan doesn't know if it is due to tiredness or the other is just testing him but he only have to swing back his torso and the other's sword misses completely. He has an chance now for the shield of the Rackmoore is down and in a position where it would be hard for him to cover his right, now exposed, flank.
Dr A starts examining the various tomes and pulls two down from the shelves "The Search of a Lifetime. Diaries of Professor Humpegulestin on his research of netherse culture" and "Lost Chornicles of Myth Drannor" by Lindaren Softleave. He turns to Kavian saying '''ahbut I told you I would know what it was when I saw it and these texts are exactly what I was looking for!" He turns to the old lady saying "how much for these two tomes?"
“Oh my! Dear dear let me see let me see “ says the old woman still behind the counter. She pulls out a heavy looking tome and opens it and tries to read it getting real close. She passes some pages and finally exclaims in victory.
” Ah! History section here it is. Now young one would you please help and old woman? Open the books in the first page on its right corner my grandson uses tu put a letter and a number… inventory he calls it, I wouldn’t know, but that would help me finding them here” she taps the book on the counter. “You don’t mi d don’t you?” She says to Kavian.
Taking an aggressive step to his left and forward, Logan raises his sword to deliver a firm blow to Rackmore’s exposed upper right thigh. He looks right at his target, and as the out of position shield starts descending to cover the obvious target, Logan pivots his elbow and delivers a stinging flat snap right at the right side of his opponent’s head, looking at his upper thigh the whole time…

The feint is good and it would have worked if Rackmoore wouldn't were already ducking to try to cover his exposed right side. Logan's sword hits the helmet but only the side of it and not in the right angle.
Both combatants circle around looking for a drop in the other's guard. Finally Rackmoore pushes with his shield Logan's shield and tries to hit him right after it.

Logan:
Using the momentum of Rackmore’s shield push, Logan pivots and sets his feet, using his own shield to continue his opponent’s forward momentum—but angling it downwards toward the ground. While Rackmore is unbalanced, Logan strikes again, this time a simple vertical shot at his center of mass—at least what is not blocked by shield or armor.

While the other two are distracted by books, Gorm steps outside the store to try to once again catch sight of their followers. How did you loose sight of them? she reprimands herself mentally. There is nothing worse than an invisible foe!
Gorm tries to not step too far out from the shop, planning to go four or five steps at most. She makes no attempt to hide her looking about the street and in fact adopts an At Ready type of stance to welcome the followers to reveal themselves and come at her.
Another Perception attempt 8 if needed...
((It's Gorm, not Grom, by the way. But no worries, it's one I know spell-check likes to autocorrect the way it wants...))
Caught off-guard by his movement the trainee squire is hit both by Logan's sword and shield. He falls on his back with a sound of metal clanging.
Without hesitation Master Oenomaus calls two more names.
"Gurstaff! Hickborn!! "
As if they were waiting for that order two more squires jump into the circle while the fallen Rackmoore gathers his weapon and pride the better he could and resume his position at the circle.
The two new contenders start to circle around Logan, trying to use their advantage.

Gorm:
She walks a little bit trying to peek around the corner of the house they were behind, into the alley, but it seems to be empty, save for a barrel. They have moved from there in the mere seconds she lost them of her sight.
(Does she enters the alley trying to pursue/find them? And again, sorry for the mispelling of the name... it's like a curse!! haha)
(No worry on name, it happens. Only pointed out since I saw a couple times in a row… )
Gorm does not stray far. She does not enter the alley. It is embarrassing enough that she lost their tails unintentionally, she will not risk losing her companions.

Logan:
As the opponents try to flank him, Logan strikes back, catching Gurstsff’s attack with his shield and shoving him away, then skirling his sword off the block of Hickborn’s blade and ripostes at the extended forearm of his blade arm using the momentum of the block to add speed and power to his attack..

This time the other squire is ready for Logan's movement and the shield only finds air. The movement of his sword, however is powerful, fast and accurate and gets Hickborn by surprise. With a scream mix of pain and surprise he lets the sword go and drops to his knees, holding his wounded forearm. Logan doesn't think it's broken but he still has another incoming attack to worry about.
( Attack: 19 Damage: 7 )
This time the swing from the sword bypass his defenses and got a hard hit on the stomach. Nothing he cannot withstand but it's going to hurt tomorrow.

Logan:
Grunting as he takes the smack of the wooden sword on his abdomen, Logan nonetheless manages to take some sting out of the blow by angling his body at the last second to make sure the armor protects as much as possible (Heavy Armor Master takes 3 points of damage off that hit).
Squaring up with the remaining opponent, Logan jerks his shield to make it look like he is about to use it to bash again, then strikes with his sword at the chink in his opponent’s defenses opened up by his fake.

Karvian looks over to the shopkeep. "Grandson you say! You don't look a day over 25 and I'd be a right liar if I didn't say so," he says with a wink. Turning back to the books, he flips open 'The Search of a Lifetime. Diaries of Professor Humpegulestin'. "Now the inside of this one says H-571 aaaaannnnndddddd...." Karvian hands the book back to Dr. A and opens the other one. "This one says H-673. Is this how much these books cost?!?"Karvian looks up at the shopkeep and then at Dr. A. incredulously.
As he looks from one to the other he scans the shop for anyone looking at them and realizes that Gorm is no longer there. "Where'd Gorm go?"

Logan:
Gurstaff baits the hook and Logan is able to connect a direct hit to the other man's jaw. He takes a couple of steps backwards before falling to his back on the ground, uncounscious.
Not even a second has passed with Master Oenomaus himself screams.
"Stay sharp cub!!"and, with two shortswords, metal ones this time, he jumps into the middle of the circle and attacks Logan!

Dr. A. & Karvian:
The old woman chuckles at Karvian's comment and says
"This one knows how to treat a lady, doesn't he? Now let me search here son... My eyes are not as fast as they used to be... " She passes her almost esqueletical finger over the pages of the great book and seems to find something "... here.. " she takes a squill and makes a note in a parchment, with trembling hand and goes back to the book, passes a page and repeats the process. She finally raises her eyes from the pieces of parchment she has been writing. " 75 gold pieces and 7 silver pieces for the two tomes my dear. That's is what my grandson's book says... but I'll tell you what, since this young one has been such a charm I am willing to blame myself for not reading it well and offer you a special price of 65 gold pieces for the whole lot."
She gives them a mischievous grin, like she was doing a bad thing knowingly and was looking for their complicty.

Gorm is about to turn back and enter the bookshop again when she sees one of their pursuers trying to put himself at her left side when she suddenly turns. The man, even with the hood of his cloak covering most of his features, seems ankward and not really knowing what to do.
"S..Stop" he finally says gathering some courage. "You are going to tell us where the scrollcase is... or else"
Dr A turns to Karvian "ahbut this good lady is a truly perspicacious person" turning back to the women he says "ahbut my thanks to you, 65 gold pieces it is then" as he reaches into his pouch and draws out the required coinage.
