"I see your point" says Chiara looking at them " Well, if you do think it is better to stay together we will stay together. " she raises her drink to that " So.. first Candelkeep and then Shadowdale or the other way around? " she asks to them.

“Then it is decided. Let us finish our meal and return to gather our possessions. Shall we leave yet today, or wait for the morning?” he asks, though it is obvious he is not sure where he can sleep safely with the cultists around.

((Looking back, it is early dinnertime... Some daylight left.))
"Wherever we rest our heads, we should do it as a group," Gorm suggests. "We would not get far at this time of night and I suspect the trappings of the city around us likely keep our foes from making too bold an attack. I would suggest we retire early, awaken the same, and do our best to head out in the morning with as much discretion as possible... Perhaps leave word that we are heading to this Shadowdale to perhaps misdirect them..."
"They do not have rooms here " says Chiara "But I think we can find someplace in the city with a room big enough for all of us. Then we can part first thing in the morning, unless you have bussiness to attend to before we leave... "
"No, but we all have rooms elsewhere," Gorm notes. "I would suggest the deception of extending the stay for tonight as well and make it seem we will stay in the same place, but then all stay together elsewhere. We can tell the innkeepers we intend to stay tonight and be off to Shadowdale in the morning, in case they have loose lips and spread the information..."
”I like the idea of staying together and taking watches tonight, though the misdirection leaving the impression that we might go to Shadowdale or might stay at the at the inn again tonight feels…unsavory…to me,” says Logan.
“Let me just go to the knights and tell them I am leaving town on my quest, then I will meet you where you would like to spend the night. If they so offer, would you all be okay with spending the night at their barracks tonight?” he asks, just having that idea…

"Are these knights trustworthy? With your life and ours?" Gorm asks solemnly. "We have been ambushed a couple times at this point and our adversaries are shadowy figures from what know what segments of this city? But I trust you so if you feel we can trust them with all that is on the line... then so be it."
"I...suppose...there could be spies who have infiltrated the knighthood, or at least the recruits," answers Logan, "but I would trust the people in charge with my life. You are right, though, Gorm, the fewer people who know exactly where we are, the better. I am, however, obligated to let them know where I am located since I have pledged to the order. If I merely say I am leaving town on my quest, perhaps even if that is overheard it will be of little use to the cultists--and the knights may be able to offer some aid as well."
Thus reasoned, Logan says, "Talgred and I will go by the knights, then gather our belongings and meet you at the new place to spend the night. Where should we choose?"
(Logan plans to go see Maese Longbeard and let him know that he will be leaving town, perhaps seeing if horses can be arranged for the group in the morning or some other aid in the quest. He will then stop by the Sailber's Ship Inn and have Talgred make sure they are paid up through tomorrow morning--as well as grabbing his travel pack--then head over to wherever the rest of the party is planning to stay.)
Shit! sorry guys somehow I missed this notifications..
The arrangements are made and they find lodging in a nearby inn; The Dragon Jaws. The irony doesn't miss anyone.
Logan goes back to Shaliber's Ship and fetch both Talgred and the belongings of his new friends. The inn-keeper seems relieved that they are leaving, despite his efforts to hide it, but it seems that he thinks that they are better in another place, where his inn doesn't suffer attacks from night intruders.
The squire tries to reach Maese Longbeard but the hour is late, and he just leave a sealed message to him, informing that he will return soon. The guards inform him that to request horses must be to the Master Horseman and she can't be reached until morning.
They had a common room, with enough beds for all of them to lay and rest. They made shifts, though, just to be on the safe side. But the first light in the morning start to enter through their window and nothing has happened.
You can get a long rest and level up!
During the breakfast, that it is served to them at their room, which has a small round table, thanks to Talgred's digilence, they discuss the details of their journey. Should they try to get horses? Should they try to join a caravan who goes in that direction? Perhaps offer their services as guards of that convoy? Is there such a convoy in the first place? Or they should just take advantage of the hour and depart the city in silence and unnoticed before Suzail comes to live again?
“Speed seems to be important,” Gorm points out. “These others have plans they are working to enact. We are trying to catch up… I think horses, if possible, to shorten our journey. It’s the only time saver we can truly count on.”
She mulls for a moment before she adds “The caravan is not unacceptable. It would not be as fast as travel by horse with just ourselves, but it could provide some cover from suspicious eyes. That may be worth the lost speed…”
"Ahbut my good friends" Dr A says looking down at his overall body shape "I must confess I'm not suited to riding a horse, a seat on a wagon sounds like a far better proposition to me!"

”Do you mean this morning, Chara?” asks Logan (unless that was a suggestion from last night). “If we can buy a wagon and a draft horse to pull it yet this morning and get out of town, that will hopefully put the cultists behind us as well as offering a more comfortable mode of transit for the good doctor,” he adds.

"It is settled then. Meet me at the East Door in one hour and we will be in the road"
The scholar merrily went out of the tavern, without waiting for anyone or without listening to any concern about the security. At one glance of Logan, Talgred follows her to be sure she is alright.
The rest of the party stays gathering the rest of their things and buying some supplies for the journey. Half an hour goes by and they notice that their young tiefling friend, the one responsible, in a way, for them to know each other, is missing. He hasn't showed up since he woke and went to take a bath.
”Has anyone seen Karvian?” asks Logan. Assuming the answer is no, Logan uses the next half hour to search for the bard. When it is time to leave, he reluctantly heads out without the tiefling.

Gorm as well spends her time looking for Karvian, or word of him at least. Her first fear is that the cultists have snatched him and that he is in mortal danger at the very moment and each second that ticks by makes her more worried for him... Sure, she really didn't know him well. Disappearing out of the blue could totally be in his nature. Still, it sat wrong with Gorm and she was determined to find out where he had gotten himself to.
As their partners look for the missing bard they enter the bathroom where he was supposed to be. They find the bath ready but water is almost cold and there are no signs of it being used, or struggle for that matter. They look around in search for some clues.
