Logan sharp eyes detect some small hints that recent activity has been held in the compound. Not only by the living animals but for someone. A bucket has been recently moved there, the windows of the upper level seems cleaned... defintely there has to be someone around here.
Dr. A, doesn't find any traps, magical or otherwise in the door. It seems locked though.
Gorm does her ritual and one of the cows look at her, surprised.
"No one feed us. This place magical. It takes care of us. You look "
As if the stable wanted to show Gorm that the cow wasn't lying, one bucket raised by his own and floated to refill the water supply of the cows, the it floats back to its place. Then a groom starts to clean the floor by itself.
By Dr. A, examinations it seems that at least two spells of unseen servant has been casted and made permanent in the premises to take care of things.
"How... unusual," Gorm says after a few blinks to make sure she wasn't seeing things. "Do you know who does the magic? Is there a person around? Someone who stands like I do? Has hands like mine?" She's not sure if the animals will know the difference between a person and an animal so perhaps the difference in how they stand and hands instead of paws or hooves will help get the idea across?
"Walk in two legs like kekeke us" interjects one hen "but no wings no beak! humid mouth like you and them" the hen says pointing to the cow
"But smaller than us. Bigger than hens. Smaller than you..." finish the cow
While the magical mouth repeats the message after the new knock in the door by Logan and they pay no attention to it another voice can be heard from inside cursing then a raspy and old voice yells from inside
" Don't you understand common?? Go away!! Nobody is here!! "
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Logan:
”Alas, if only the fabled scholar Haerun Mhammaster were present, we might have a chance to understand the secret prophecy and blunt the ascendancy of the Dragon cult,” continues Logan in a loud lament aimed at the door, “But without his intellect the world will surely descend into ashes and despair.”

Upon hearing the voice Dr A mutters to himself “ahbut they say that the sign of a great scientist is the ability to admit you’re wrong - well in this case I was wrong!” Before calling out “Haerun. It is I, Dr Ahbutaveyu, we met some years back at a symposium at Candlekeep. I need to consult with you on a matter of great import!”
"Only with huuumans like yuo" replies the cow to Gorm
"Ba ba ba barely speak to us " add the hen "the magic ta ta ta takes our eggs and their milk "
From the inside of the tower they could hear some curse first and an exclamation later. The door doesn't open but just a second later, with a puff of green smoke an old gnome appears in front of Dr. A.
He wears a dark blue, almost black, tunic, with small silver dots embroided on it, as if there were stars. The tunic covered his body, so they could not see if he was wearing shoes or not. A couple of rings adorned his fingers, and a curious, small stone was circling his head. As soon as he see Dr. A. he opens his arms.
" My dear Dr. A. It's been ages!! I am so glad you have come to visit... how didn't yuo sent me a message? would have deactivate this " he gestures and the mouth on the door disappeared "you must understand " he says to his colleague in an apologetic tone "there are soo many petitioners trying to know the most stupid and mundane things... does he loves me? would be a good rain season this year? Where did my late husband hide his mother's jewels? I am not a diviner for Mystra's shake... but they do not see the difference... But why did you came here? A prophecy your bodyguard said? The Dragon Cult? "
“Ahbut that’s right. I was given a scroll that talked about the dragons taking back what was rightfully there’s, end of days, all that sort of thing! Now it could be no more than some lizard worshipping idiots delusional fantasies!, But in case it’s not as they say a storm in a teacup, my colleagues decided to seek further information.” Pulling out the scroll ( I think Dr A still has it) he continues pointing to a pertinent section “what do you think this means?”
The gnome takes the scroll and reads it, making some exclamation remarks as he reads.
"We should discuss this... come inside come inside.. I'll have a tea ready soon enough... all of you are invited of course " he say incluiding the rest of the party in the conversation.
They enter the tower and they find themselves in a very tidy and organized room, cozy and functional, with a chimenny and several chairs and a low table. A teapot is being heated at the fire. "Sit please I'll be back in a minute need to grab some books... " and with that and another bamf of green smoke he dissapears. A door in the right wall opens and a tray with small cookies floats towards the small table.
Nodding his thanks, Logan comes inside and sits, helping himself to refreshments. He sighs thankfully, both for getting off his feet for a few moments and for getting the attention of the sage.

After a few minutes of relax, another puf of green smoke reveals the return of their host. Ot maybe just of a pile of big, old books that the gnome now carries.
Chiara runs to help him and together they put the books in another table.
"Well... here is all that I got about on the Dragon Cult and other dragon workhippers... tell me all about it... "
The next hours goes by with both sages telling the history of the scroll and their findings to the hermit gnome. Dinner is served and cuttery is taken away by itself apparently and, even with their own remarks during the tale of events, Logan and Gorm find themselves lost into historical data and theories. When the three scholars dive into the books, and even a more and more teletransportations of Haerun Mhammaster searching for more scrolls and books, the two warriors really feel out of place. Even when they are asked to read some books looking for information of elven old history.
But under the guidance of the gnome they finally go looking for the correct things in the correct places. At the end, they are completely surrounded by books, drawings, scrolls and parchments.,
It is near the break of dawn that they seem to have finish their recollection of events. Haerun is reading a croll where he had been making notes.
"So.. it is clear thanks of the writtens of Leurithan the Golden Dawn that the elves of old designed a powerful mithal to break the control that the dragons of that age had in the rest of races of Faerun, either they were helped in this by the Gods as Leurithan assures, or by compasionate dragons as other authors like Renturiel claim is of no consequence to us now"this has been a point of discussion between the scholars for some hours but it was a sharp commentary of Gorm who finally settled the matter.
"What is important now is, that for them to succeed in such a powerful enchantment they had to collect the energy of a star... a passing one to be precise; The Red King Killer one. " At this point he reaches to other parchment were they took notes of the related topic. "Such celestial object is not a simple comet, but an actual ever falling star, according to Klar Shagan, astronomer from Netheril, that crosses the vast, cold, void of the cosmos in a more or less predictable pattern and it can be seen over the skies of our world. We do know that the proximity with our own celestial sphere is variable, for several sightings talk of greater or lesser size, suggesting that its distance is mutable, for unknown reasons." He turns back to his original notes. "Now, thanks to the descriptions of it of the poet Izushkan, and the records of Leurithan himself, in that particular time the Red King Killer was particularly close to the planet, filling the entire sky, and the High Mages of the Elves were able to use its power to conjure their Mithal. They succeeded, as we all can testify for we are no longer under the rule of all powerful dragon lords, but it seems that the enchantment had an umpredictable side effect. Even if this was unknown to them at the time or something went wrong in the last minute... "he looks at Dr. A. for he went in a spiral of theories when they reached this point, being the Weave and its interactions his favorite topic "...the fact is that, every time that the falling star is visible and near us, all dragons go into an uncontrolled rage that we know as Flight of Dragons. Thanks to the exhaustive cross-referencing that our interns had made "he acknowledged both Logan and Gorm, who has a persistent headache due to this exhausting work "We have stablished without a doubt that the intensity and duration of such Flights are directly related to the proximity and time the Star is in the sky. Thanks to the calculations of Chiara and the mathematical models of the sage Shagan we are able to predict now when this is going to happen, but not its intensity. Next one is due in the next... "he checks a parchment that Chiara gives to him "... three months, with a margin of error of four days... "he swallows.
"Now... we do not have any method to avoid this event. Not without removing the Star from the sky, cancelling the Mithal without risking a dragon world domination, or killing all the dragons... " he says looking to Logan who, just commented it as a crazy idea, even a joke but the gnome went into a disertation of how important they are, and the moral implications of planned extintion and Dr. A. didn't help when he tried to explain the connection between the Weave and the Dragonkin. "... according to Renturiel, and this is why I insist there were dragons involved in the creation of the Mithral, and other posterior writtings, there are known exceptions to dragons joining the Flights. In cases like Orzyklandulas, the Golden Sage, or of Cinder, the Red General of Tiamat, it is clear that they are so strong-willed that are able to supress or negate the urge to join the Flight, if they wish to do so... " he adds looking at a depicted burnt city under the rage of the legendary red dragon "... but it seems that the elves designed some objects that could shield a dragon from its influence, allowing them to remain in control of themselves. Wich its really frustrating is there is no proof, no illustration of the existence of such artifacts, or artifact, except some vague verses here or phrases there. " he moved his hand in the air, frustrated. "Our best lead on this regard is a song from the human poet and bard Ruce Stringtin in wich tell us that the silver dragon Selorentharaxx not only resisted it thanks to her love for the paladin Lady Rintorel, but to an ancient artifact that she wore around her head, wich suggest some kind of tiara or diadem for dragons, or it could be just a method of transportation for another thing. Unfortunately the reference to it is just a verse in the song and, wouldn't we be searching for something as specific, would had missed it and discarded it as an important piece of information, for the song focus on the lost love between the dragon and the paladin, for the late perished during that Flight near Neverwinter. Unfortunately, last news of the location of the silver dragon were sightings of her flying towards an isle in the northen Sword Coast, west of Neverwinter called Stormwreck Island. " he makes a pause and takes a sip from his coffe. "The history of this island is full of confrontations and battles between metallic and crhomatic dragons. The origin of the island itself came from such a long time war between the two families of dragons, when three metallic dragons joined forces to stop a powerful red dragon that was ravaging the Sword Coast, Sharrut the Insatiable. They thought that imprison her in the depths of the ocean would quelch her fire but her rage was so powerful that it created the island. Some say that she is dead, some believe that she will awake sometime and will bring ruin and death. In any case, the island has been the scenario of battles between dragons for centuries, and the magics of such fights and the very essence of the dead dragons had made the area around the isle and on it umpredictable but powerful. A blue dragon, named Glorenlyrthex, tried to harness that power, but he was defeated by a bronze dragon and his bones joined those of had perished in that island before. The only known settelment in the island is a monastery to ascets and hermits called Dragon's Rest. They provide care and settlement for those dragons that desire to reach the end of their days pacefully in the island, which must be a very scarce and extraordinay event if you ask me, but it seems that this was Selorentharaxx whises when she was last seen. " he takes a breath " or it could be just a creative liberty of the bard... "he ends without hiding the deception on his voice.
"This is all what we have uncovered. Which is no small task and I want to congratulate you all for your hard work... who could have said that we would be able to do such a extensive research and relevant discovery in just two days"he seems proud of this and honestly recognize the effort of all of them, but he had just said two days? hasn't been just one night?
"But there are still important questions in the air. Why does the Cult of Dragon search this first scroll of information from Chiara? What are their goals? How much do they know? What are we going to do with this knowledge? Important people should know about the incoming Flight of Dragons of course but... who? Do we search for this improbable artifact that seems to allow dragons to avoid the Flight? It is worthy to pursue such chimera? what happens if we loose some precious time and it is a fool's errand? What if we ignore this lead and could be the very thing that could help us?" he shakes his head "Too many questions... too much to do, so sort time"
Like the others Dr A is a little exhausted by the research “ahbut we now have a better understanding of what is happening - well might be happening - and why; which is more than the lizard worshippers have. I suggest we continue onto Candlekeep to peruse their archives and see what else we may elucidate before trying to find this island where Selorentharaxx may be resting or given the long lifespan of dragons possibly even still be alive!”
"An excellent suggestion, Doctor A.," says Logan, "After we rest a bit. We can go back by the inn and meet up with Thandril on the way to Candlekeep."
Logan stands stiffly and bows to Haerun Mhammaster, saying, "Thank you for your assistance. Hopefully we will find a way to blunt the effect of the flight even if we can't stop it entirely."
