(Haven't heard from Lyndaran for a bit, so I'm just going to say he made it into the room).
After the guard heads into the hall, Tamryn closes and locks the door. Akyan wonders aloud about the dragonbornthey saw previously, and it seems likely that, since she was behind a closed door, she was not deceived by the rogue nor the illusion.
Tamryn says, "Okay friends, we have about 15 minutes until the exercise is over. There is, apparently, one dragonborn in that room and 6 of us. However, that guard," Tamryn points to the doorway, "is going to work out that I was lying in probably less than a minute. And, for all I know, he may have a key. So, let's quickly barricade the door and then see if the 6 of us can't intimidate one dragonborn into letting us take the important documents."
Tamryn drags the table over to the door and, using a hammer and some pitons, nails it to the door as a barricade. He says, "The noise might draw out the dragonborn; ready yourself. Or help me. We don't have much time."
Once the door is barricaded, Akyan says, “Three of us should attack the guard while the other three search for the box. Hopefully there windows in that room. Otherwise we will have to go back to we’re we came from.” He looks at the others, “I’m thinking Tamryn and I should search, unless anyone has a better idea, nows the time to say it.”
Kyrsa takes a long breath, blocking out the pain as best she can. “I’m willing to fight, though I must say I’m not sure how many more hits I can take.” She wedges some chairs up against the table, hoping to reinforce Tamryn’s barricade. “Let’s just hope the chest is actually in that room.”
"I'm pretty sure there aren't any other guards on this floor. We were told there were eight inside. There were four up here, my guess is that the other four are downstairs." Akyan explains, "But if there are other's I'm sure we can handle them, there are six of us after all. However, I still think at least one of us should try to search the room while the rest of us fight. If that's the case, I'll help with the guards, and Tamryn can search the room.""I seem like I'm better at fighting than lock-picking right now anyway." He thinks to himself.

"Alright, Akyan, Kyrsa and I will attack the dragonborn, rest of you, search the for the chest. Let's go, we're about out of time." And she moves forward, opens the door (and if not locked) heads straight through, bow at the ready.
If she can get a shot off once through the door...

Now that it is part of the barricade, Tamryn searches the desk for interesting stuff, then he goes over to the bookcase and searches that, if there is nothing there, he drags it over to the barricade, and finally he looks underneath the rug.
(OOC: Assuming one roll will go for all three; will make more rolls if you'd like me to)
The elf seems really confused with all that was happening, he had no chance to ask question when he was sent here, and taking care of his wound made him somehow distracted of the decision making process.
"If the rest of the guards hear the fight here they could come up from downstairs and we will be in trouble. Also wouldn't we suppoused to keep it quiet? Anyway, too late for that" he shrugs " I can help take either the guard or the dragonborn down with my bow. Just tell me where do you want me.." he asks to Akyan.
((Is there a keyhole in the door to the room where the dragonborn is?))
If there is a keyhole to the western door, Jhaartael will look through it trying to see the dragonborn to get a sense of where she is and what she is doing
If there is no keyhole, Jhaartael will ready himself to follow the first three attackers into the room and will cast Hold Person on the dragonborn as soon as he can see her in range.

There is a keyhole, you may roll a Perception if you stoop or kneel to look through it, this will use up your action.
Ok this is nit-picky, but in RAW when you ready an action, you are turning it into a reaction, of which you only get one per round, meaning you cannot ready both a move and an attack. You can move now and attack later as a readied action, or do something else now, and move later as a readied dash action, but you can't ready both move and attack actions.

Round 1 v. Dragonborn
Jhaartael- 24 - Looks through keyhole in door, sees the dragonborn in a relaxed stance in the center of the room, who in turn is watching the door. Maybe a chest in the background, can't make out much more.
Tamryn- 18 - investigates the outer room thoroughly, and finds diddly-squat.
Mina- 16 - passes through the unlocked door. The Dragonbornhad been expecting someone to open it any minute, and had been watching it closely, so Mina is observed. The room she enters is large, and there is a window on the wall opposite the door, but no other exits. There is a large circular rug in the center of the room, and the Dragonbornwaits here, in the center, holding her action until someone opened the door. There are three chests behind her, against the back wall. She unleashes her breath weapon on Mina, a bolt of lightning streaking from her gullet straight at the drow. (7lightningdamage, DC 13 CON Save for 1/2 damage). The ranger in turn lets fly an arrow, which strikes the dragonbornin the right thigh, and sticks.

Before entering, the elf gets ready, bending a little bit his knees and as soon as the door is open he runs forward. Localizing the target, Lyndaral lets another arrow fly and tries to catch the dragonborn in the neck.
Mina heads over by Akyan after the guard leaves, "I doubt they heard Breezy, let's just take care of them, the clock is ticking."

"At least one dragonborn in the next room... do we know if there might be others as well?" asks Jhaartael.
"I am happy to assist in dealing with either advesaries or searching for treasure."
