"Sorry again.", Quiggley says this time to his companions. "but lets find the voice that screamed No! Even thirty seconds is a lifetime in an emergency."
Quiggley once again starts flying very quickly into the castle, but this time only thirty feet above the group.
Praxius looks at the two vials, trying to determine if they looked identical or were different.
He then hands one to Knight Feld. “Are you able to determine this yourself, or do we have to go somewhere?”, he asks.
Looking around, he sees the scenes of devastation but is keen to follow this lead to its conclusion. After all, he discovered the Rito in the first place.
And Knight Feld might trust this commander of hers, but he had earned no such loyalty from him.
With the Poe seemingly vanquished, Rae spots a golden-haired woman sitting motionless on the throne. She runs quickly over to the throne to check on the woman’s condition, “Hey, are you ok? You still with us?”
Rae looks over the woman and her immediate surroundings for any signs of what may have been done to her.
Both of the vials are the exact same in size and weight, while one may have more of the odd liquid inside it wouldnt be noticable.
Knight Feld takes the Vial and immediately pops the cork from it, examining the solution within. She brings it up to her nose and after a moment reels back in disgust. "Whatever this is, It smells awful." She puts the cork back in and tucks it into her own satchel. "There is another Knight who specializes in Brewing and Alchemy, he will have the means to identify this." She looks over your shoulder, Dagoro is exiting the building and steps to meet you both.
"They are both fine, Frightened but fine." The Knight nods to Dagoro, "Both of you accompany me, I've a feeling whatever we have stumbled upon was not meant to be noticed." She turns to walk towards the Knights hall, a fair distance from where you currently are and where the aforementioned Knight is.
Theo, Paca, Rae and Quiggley,
Rae, the Woman is not moving and cold to the touch. Looking around the immediate area you find nothing that would suggest foul play, However you do notice a fresh burn atop her left hand.
Quiggley, Theo and Paca, you all enter into the room as Rae is examining a young woman, sat atop the throne. Long, golden hair frame delicate and smooth features, her skin is nearly translucent she is so pale. She is not moving.

Rae watches for any changes in the woman’s condition as Paca casts his spell. After a moment of inspection, Rae observed no notable changes.
It is only after this inspection that Rae realizes who the woman is. Rae turns to her allies and says somberly, “This is heir to the Hyrulean throne, Princess Zelda Elea Hyrule…”
Rae leans closer to the princess and gingerly lifts Zelda’s left hand to inspect the burn. “This burn was caused by an incredibly intense fire. I doubt the Princess could be caught unaware by such an intense flame. The flame also seems to be magical in nature…”
Rae stopped speaking for a brief moment, something about the burn mark perplexed her. She paused to inspect the burn with even more focus before sharing her findings, “Whatever magic ran afoul here, it seemed to syphon something from the Princess... It took some sort of energy from her… It’s similar to magic, but not quite… Whatever it was that we taken from her, it seems to be the reason for her death-like state.”
"Death lke state...does that mean... she may be restored some how?" Paca nervously thinks, this is beyond anything he has seen or witnessed before. He feels terrified and on edge. "Does anyone know what exactly is going on here? If she is the princess then we have to help her!"
"I don't know Paca. Perhaps if her stolen powers were returned, she may awake once more. But that's just my guess."
Rae stood back up and massaged her back a bit, tired from kneeling over to examine the princess. She let out a quiet sigh. I really don't want to get caught up in Hyrulean affairs, but it seems that trouble always seems to find me, she thought to herself.
You are currently traveling with Knight Feld and Dagoro back to the Knights hall, it will take a few minutes so if you have anything to ask of them. Now would be the time.
"If it is too cumbersome give it to Dagoro, we cant leave a corpse in the middle of the street." Knight Feld glances over her shoulder at the corpse you are dragging along with you. "Besides, Im sure the Commander will want to see him."
Theo,Rae,Quiggley and Paca,
Paca, unfortunately your spell has no effect. While the Princess is still alive, it seems whatever was taken from her has left in her a death-like state.
Quiggley, The Burn mark is as Rae described. Caused by a powerful Arcane energy and seems to have siphoned something from the Princess, something that is not arcane in nature. While she is still alive, she will not wake anytime soon. It would be no stretch to imagine if you somehow return what was taken from her, she may wake. The Throne room is otherwise empty, no sign of guards or the King.

Quiggley will nod to himself and the others as he stops flutter pacing.
"This is bad! My first guess is maybe the Poe took it and to try something with the lamp it carried. That's really unlikely, though. She's alive and with someone to take care of her physical needs, feeding, water, changing, and cleaning she will probably live a while in this state. But I would say probably not more than a year. Not that the army at the gates will wait that long" ,Quiggley will outline for the others before he continues with his thoughts.
"Do any of you have a way to send a message magically? To Praxius or That Lady Knight? This only happened seconds ago so we need to investigate and follow whatever was taken from her. But we also need to tell the knights what has happened so someone will come take care of her. It would also be nice to know what is happening outside. Any thoughts or suggestions?, Quiggley will asks with some concern.
“This commander”, Praxius says to Knight Feld as he continues to drag the corpse along. “You trust them?”.
”If the Rito was delivering the vials to the commander to harm them, they wouldn’t need two. Stands to reason they were going to give the vials to the commander, which means they are working together. That is one way to see it anyway”, he adds after a moment.
“And if the commander is not not loyal, what does that mean for the defence of the city?”
He watches Knight Feld carefully, looking for signs of doubt.
"I have no way of communicating beyond these walls. However, perhaps I can send Lizi out to scout ahead and see what is happening outside. If she thinks it is safe to leave, perhaps we can carry the princess with us as we search for Praxius and the knight." Paca whispers to Lizi and she sets off to investigate what is happening outside and to see if it is safe to leave here with the princess.
Knight Feld leads the three of you through the burning streets of Hyrule City, while most buildings are englufed in flames it seems that the fire is not spreading to districts outside of Times Respite, largely thanks to the efforts of those few civilians who stayed to control the spread of the fire. Other than the crackle of fire, the city is quiet. The volley of arrows sent by the invading force has, at least for the time being been averted by the army who is likely confronting them outside the city walls.
The Knight is a stoic individual, and for that reason she is really hard to read. "Commander Reli has served the Crown and City for nearly forty years, I trust him completely. I believe the Rito was merely trying to shift needless suspicion onto the Commander, In any case Reli is likely with the army outside the gates." You enter into the square, where not an hour earlier you had bested Dagoro in a contest of strength.
The Square is silent and noticably without flame, as there is little surrounding it to actually catch flame.
Paca,
Lizi leaves your shoulder and buzzes through the hall which you had just entered, exiting out into the thick smoke that is choking the air within the city. It will take her a few minutes to do what you had asked of her.
Rae, you hear a cough from behind the throne. "....Zel....da" A hushed whisper lingers from behind it, The Throne itself shifts. You all jump back and ready yourselves for whatever is happening. A mechanism hidden within the Throne and floor causes the large chair to glide across the floor. Stepping up from a hidden chamber, Clutching at his bloodstained abdomen is King Nohan Bospho Hyrule. Clutching a longsword in his left hand.
Quiggley doesn't pause he uses his sorcerous skill (point) to cast Cure Wounds at a distance of thirty feet on the king. Healing his wound as much as he can. Then Quiggley pulls a potion of healing out.
Praxius follows quietly along after Knight Feld, hoping that she is right about the commander.
He wonders briefly where his companions has got to, but assumed they were either hoping or taking cover.
He looks across to Dagoro, “I guess we will find answers son enough. Remember to stick together, we are stronger together. In fact there aren’t many things out there stronger than the two of us acting together”.
You catch Dagoro deep in thought, a far off look in his gleaming black eyes. "Well said Praxius!" He pats your back rather roughly, causing you to lurch forward a bit. The Goron does not seem like his usual self, In the short time you have known him. He has shown to be a loud and joyous individual, but the Goron walking beside you seems distant and oddly quiet.
Another 10 minutes pass by, the Knights Hall comes into view. The familiar building which you had seen earlier in the day, notably without guards standing outfront. Knight Feld turns to you both as you come to the large doors of the building. "Under normal circumstances you would not be permitted entry, but these arent exactly normal circumstances. Dont touch anything." It was a firm order and one she emphasized.
Theo,Quiggley, Paca and Rae,
Quiggley stretches his arm out, soft lights begin to drift from his skin. Glowing dimly in the still air as they drift to and surround the King. Immediately the pained expression on his face lessens but does not vanish, He takes a deep breath and using the cane like a walking stick, straightens his posture. He looks to you all, a noticable look of confusion on his face. "Who-" His gaze finds the still form of the Princess.
"Zelda!" He clamors to her side, taking her hand into his. The rather Ornate and very bloody longsword clatters to the marble floor as he attempts to wake his daughter. "Zelda!.....ZELDA!!!" While his voice booms in a very regal tone, it is filled with the worry of a Father.

Or do you know anyone capable of such things?"
Theo, having worn off the invisibility by now, reappears. He has slung Bad News back over his shoulder, now that there are no visible enemies in the area. At the sight of the King he instantly takes a knee. Trying to remember the past, he tries to think of anything that could have done this to Zelda.
