"Do you have somewhere we can speak privately?, business purposes of course" (Does this require a persuasion check?) Nathanael's plan is to get information obviously but maybe a drink wouldn't hurt
"I fully understand, you don't want to miss the party, I'll be on my way then" He walks away but tries to find a way to get behind him without being spoted, Investigation...9
I mean, you could walk through the hallways until you get to one that will let you enter the ballroom in the direction that will lead you behind him without getting noticed by him.
There aren’t any doors that lead to the ballroom (excluding the door to the kitchen), the only possible way to get in is through the hallways which lead to the ballroom, the hallway entrances are open, just walk right through, there are four hallway entrances, each on each side of the square room.
A little bit, yeah, but don’t worry. I think that it’s good you overcomplicated something because you didn’t have enough information, that may save you later on in the campaign. So yeah, you just go through one of the hallway entrances and come out the other, do you do that?
“And it’s a pleasure to meet you good sir,” he says as he shakes your hand.

Yes it will require a persuasion check, this man does not want to miss out on the party.

Will it be noticed by others?
Yes but they won’t care.
Sure let's do it, Nathanael does that, Any guards?
Only two on the other side of the room.
Do i have to check every door?
No, you don’t.
How will i know which one is the right one?

Ok then... Is that it ? Does Nathanael just walk to the other side? did i overcomplicate this?

Indeed, Nathanael will roll Perception for traps however...9
There are no traps other than one very obvious large and obvious lock on one of the doors in the hallways.
Nathanael sees this lock as an oddity so he shall smash it with his trusty warhammer, Strength Check...13
