Kor informs the others of what Mimi saw. "Sounds like necromancy. I say we steer clear of it, find the bodyguard and find out what he knows. Any body remember what he looks or his name? I'm drawing a blank on the guy. I'll also need to see if I can buy a few things around here."
Ab: Dancer got breakfest, and if she diddnt she’d be sure to let you guys know. When you get to town, you notice everyone hear is slightly bulkier then city-folk, even the women who have a fair bit of muscle from all the work rural life demands. The townspeople wear a more simple and practical type of wear. You notice that while there is some diversity, dwarfs and halflings mixed with the human population, there isn’t any really unique races of humanoids. You can’t really make out if anyone in the crowd you see are identifiably richer then any others, and none look like easy targets for any possible schemes.
Berrus: You accidentally bump into the crowd while looking at tavern signs, and are slapped in the face when your short dwarfern stature makes your face level with a woman’s backside.
Ab, you attempt to pick pocket a unsuspecting woman who’s staring at horror in the aftermath of Berrus the ‘pervert’. Unfortunately she feels your hand before you can nab anything, and whirls around and slaps you, declaring ‘pervert!’ even louder then the woman beside her.
Half the crowd has turned from looking at the unconscious old man with the glowing hand, and is now staring at the group of outsiders with the large lizard man with a mangled pet wolf, two loudly declared perverts, ‘sleezy’ looking human with an eye patch, and the half-orc with the strange clothing and mannerisms.
Kor sighs at the antics of his party and ridiculous amount of attention they seem to be drawing. Turning to Mav he says, "I'm going to go shopping for some things and see what information I can dig up. Send Mimi to come find me if you need me if there's an emergency, otherwise I'll find you guys later; I'm sure it won't be difficult," he finishes with a smirk as he slips away from the cart. He telepathically tells Mimi to stay close to Mav and to come find him if Mav sends her away.
Kor grabs a smaller kit from his bags and finds someone on the edge of the crowd furthest from the side show he showed up with, smiles charmingly and asks, "I've been on the road a while a need a change of clothes and some supplies. Is there a general store around here?"
Remembering Mav's words, he adds, "Also, are there any holy men in this town?" Kor felt fleeting pity for the old man, but such was life. There was nothing Kor could do to help the man, he was not that learned in that branch of the arcane. Besides, there was plenty of other things Kor could do with his time that would prove more valuable to himself and the group than worrying over a stranger.

"How can you sit and watch while this man is in pain! Val is a druid! Are there any other healers that should have been helping the man!" Mav rushes into the middle of the circle to inspect the man. And see if can help him in any way. "See if you can find a cleric in your wandering Kor, I will send Mimi if we need you."

Vallathar watches Mav run to the center of the gathering, and hesitates a moment. If Kor was right and this was necromantic magic, they were in trouble. Dark magic always gave him pause, and necromancy was as dark as dark gets. His feeling of dread passed soon enough though. After tying Dancer's leash to the cart, he rushed after Mav. The half orc was already administering basic aid, so Valathar took this time to see if he could determine the arcane art that brought upon this infliction.
Necromantic magic usually involved a necromancer, which is always bad business. Valathar studies the man and his affliction, then trying to recall any way to heal the man, scans the crowd for anyone acting or looking suspicious.
"Ma'am," he says to the person closest to him, "can you tell me what's happened here? We've just arrived in town."
Ab and Mav and others: you maneuver yourself to the front of the crowd. You guys recognize the old man to be Sildar, Gundren’s human body guard. Along his right arm is a noticeable prick mark, like that made with a syringe. The veins of his arm glow a vibrant green, and the surrounding skin a rotted, putrid green-ish Black color. Although not as bad as the arm, the skin of his entire right side is a very pale white with a greenish twinge. He seems to be unconscious, thankfully still almost like an enchanted sleep. The towns people have reported that traditional medicine and even healing magic from the town cleric seems to have not worked so far.
Val: The look and magic feel of whatever this man is suffering from seems to be just on the tip of your tounge. It seems to be some type of magical venom, extremely potent but seemingly slow acting, almost like it was designed to make the victim suffer. A woman close by tells you the man was spotted stumbling around the well, no one knows where he came from. He passed out about ten minutes ago and hasn’t seemed to have his condition change much since then.
Kor: You find a female halfling, Qelline Alderleaf, with an extremely small boy hugging her leg. She gives you a thorough rundown of the town so that you almost have a mental map of it. (wink wink) She says if you need a place to stay that isn’t the inn, or a healthy round of gossip, to visit her farm house. Her son, Carp, whispers he has a secret before his mother shushes him.
Areas of Interest: The Stonehill Inn, rooms and a quieter drinking experience in town. Also home of another big gossip in town.
Barthens Provisions: Town General Store
Edermath Orchard: Qelline’s friendly rival, Daran Edermath an elderly male half-elf who was a big shot adventure back in the day before retiring in the somewhat peaceful country side.
Lionshield Coster: The towns weapon and armor supplier.
Phandelver Miners Exchange: A trading post specifically for miners and company.
Alderleaf Farm: Qelline’s and Carp’s farm. Possible rooming and rumor center.
Shrine of Luck: What passes for the towns religious center, a small temple run by the towns local cleric.
The Sleeping Giant: the towns scuzzier bar, frequented by some people Qelline has called the ‘Red Brands’ the towns local thug group.
Townsmasters Hall: What passes for the townhall, run by a bumbling idiot named Harbin Wester who refuses to do anything about the Reds.
Tresendar Manor: Rundown manor house on top of hill. Home to the Reds, a local thug group. Qelline seems to not want to talk about them in public.

Valathar falls to his knees, mumbling to Mav, "I know I've seen something like this before, but the memory escapes me. Damn it. Let's see what we can do for him while I try and figure it out. It's certainly some kind of venom though, see the way it's necrotizing his flesh? If the local Clerics can't heal it though, I'm not sure I'm going to have much more luck."
Valathar motions Mav to help him. Hauling the man up, propping him between their shoulders, they walk him to the cart, and lay him in the back. The dragonborn hops up into the back of the wagon with Sildar, and quickly tears away his shirt, revealing the mans chest. "Where's the local healer? This man is a friend of ours, and I'd see him live through this." Valathar questions the person that he spoke to earlier. "Please point the way, and quickly!"
Medicine: 19 to help stabilize Sildar, and prevent the spead of the venom.
You all manage to steralize and bandage the wound, but you don’t know how effective this course of treatment is going to be. Sildar is still out cold, and his condition doesn’t seem to be getting better, although it doesn’t seem to be getting much worse either.
A short, for a human, man by the name of Toblen Stonehill offers to hold up the man in one of the rooms in his inn, payment to be discussed later of course. After Sildar is carried out of sight by the innkeeper and one of his employees on a make shift stretcher, the crowd slowly disperses and life continues on in the small mining town. The whole debacle with Sildar has reminded you, you have a wagon of supplies that are supposed to be delivered to Barthen’s provisions as per you’re written instructions.
While Val and berrus take to Sildar Mav takes the cart outside of the general store and sends Mimi to go find Kor. “Tell Kor that the man by the Well was Gundrens bodyguard. Tell him to meet me here so we can look after the cart together while they take the Sildar to the inn.”

"Once again rescuing someone. What is it with you people? Do you all have some kind of hero complex?" AB asks, grinning. "You say you know this poor sap?"
Kor receives a mental message from Mimi before he sees her. Damn, of course the old man would be the bodyguard, why would anything go well for us now.
"Thank you, Quelline," he says to the halfling, "I may very well take you up on your offer, though I warn you I am traveling with a rather unique cast of individuals...," he then describes the group to the woman making sure to mention the wolf and the sick man, "Of course we'll pay you well for the inconvenience and make sure the wolf is no trouble at all, if your offer still stands."
After her response, Kor thanks her again, then heads to join Mav and AB outside the general store. He informs them of everything he learned and said to Quelline, suggesting that farm house maybe a better location to hole up than an inn due to separation from the rest of the town. The only ears they'd have to worry about were the Alderleaf family's and Mimi would be able to see anyone approaching them from far off. Plus, a farm would be a better location to keep a wild wolf than a crowded inn.
