Once 'Mori' is properly situated and the wyvern begins reacting to her drawing on the reins, an aarakocran guard assist Muir with the eagle and the group is led out once again out of the stables, down the spire and into the city proper once more.
To Vin, Griff and Elthana nothing has changed, their destination the same as before, before they turned around to save Muir. But to Muir this is a new sight, the city around them is carved from the underside of this hollow sphere, curling up the walls in all directions. There is a central core, which hangs without support in the center of this massive sphere, the core is bright like a sun and obscures the view to the other side. That is the group's destination. Vin riding Bry'ze, Muir and the flightless guards riding eagles, surrounded by several aarakocra, including Griff who escort and in the fron Elthana atop Mori's large wyvern.
Vin flies behind Elthana in the formation, glancing at her every so often in case she signals to him. Last time they got this far she had second thoughts, after all. He wishes he could speak to her, Muir and Griff alone, but that is unlikely. And so he runs scenarios through in his own mind. He knows at some point their guards are going to realise they is some dispute as to whether Elthana is Mori or not. And that the real Mori would not hesitate to state her claim and get them all restrained with those magic dampening manacles.
His mind drifts to Gewyn, and how he is doing alone. He must have come face to face with Nivara by now, surely.
He looks about for the black cloaked guards, making sure he knows where they are.
As the group get half way to the core, and after around 20 minutes of flying, a group of griffon riders fly into your path cutting you all off. The soldiers stop immediately, even Mori's wyvern slows down to a flapping hover, treading the air at a standstill recognising these three griffon riders authority. The riders wear armour similar to the rest, though they wear goggles and have a carved guilded feather insignia across their chests and adorned on their shoulders. That and it seems they are all of Goliath blood. One flies forward closer to you all and with a warm friendly tone asks "You are the outsiders yes?", apparently ignoring Mori and addressing Vin, Muir and Griff directly. "We are Shenoh's Right arm, she currently has an audience with your friend Gewyn, and Sam is on the way to meet there too. Follow us and we will bypass all checkpoints, the rest of you are dismissed" the Goliath repeats their order in auran to the rest of the soldiers who do not argue whatsoever, and leave you in the protection of Shenoh's Right arm.
As the one Goliath is chatting directly with the group and Morris soldiers start to dispersed back to their posts, another Goliath sidled up to Mori and her wyvern, he points at her and sends a mental message before throwing over some kind of rope with a latch on it for Mori to claps to the front of her saddle which is tightened under the wyverns chest.
Vin watches the three griffon riders approach, wrongly assuming that they would all move to speak to Elthana believing her to be Mori. When the one rider approaches to speak to him, Muir and Griff, he replies in what he hopes is a respectful manner. Not unhappy that they send the other soldiers away.
"Yes, we are the visitors, and friends of Gewyn and Sam", he says, using the term visitors as outsiders seemed a little negative in the moment.
The way the rider proclaimed that they will bypass all the checkpoints gives him hope that Gewyn has made progress.
Without the soldiers surrounding the group there is certainly a lift in the tension in the air as the group continue flying toward the core.
Elthana clips the rope to her wyvern attaching herself to the one Goliath griffon riders who spoke to her and they begin travelling slightly off to the left of the rest of the group's destination.
The two Goliath griffon riders with Vin, Griff and Muir give warm smiles and one takes a note out from his pack, he looks to Muir and shouts across "you must be the locksyden? We were also asked to retrieve an owl, a hound and a rat, apparently the hound is like a bird without wings and like four legs?? I have no idea what a rat is though, Which one are you?" He asks his last question directed toward Vin
"I am not any of those you have mentioned", Vin replies. "Does your note really identify those you need by species? There are no names on the list? Who wrote the list, if you don't mind me asking?".
Turning back to her friends, "I am to await orders from Shenoh in my quarters, I will meet up with you all later."
Elthana's voice is calm and steady, but those that know her best can see that her eyes are a bit wide with apprehension. Luckily, her eyes are totally black and don't give away anything else.
The Goliath looks to his list and them back to vin with a jovially apologetic look "we got some info from Ingram who has Sam, the other info we got from previous reports of your arrival, elfkin, horned red elf, the aarakocran, and locksyden here, is there one missing?" he gives a little wave to Muir when loxodon is mentioned, assuming him either shy or merely exhausted since Muir looks the part to be the latter. "To be honest the only thing I recognise on this list was owl, wasn't sure if the rest were names. This'd probably be easier if we had yours, I'm Keeter by the way, pleasure!"
As the group get ever closer to the shining spherical core hanging weightlessly in the center of this hollow isle, you are able to spot several inlets in the core, these inlets are surrounded by many patrols moving across the smooth sphere of the core in routes. Each patrol consists of one mist hulk and one lightning hulk, creatures of giant origin like Ömertyr, the lightning hulks shed natural light which seems to have created the 'shine' of the core from a distance.
The Goliath towing Elthana's wyvern gives a nod to his comrades and then takes a detour to the left heading to a different inlet than the rest of the group. Elthana, tethered follows along and is separated from the group.
"Hello Keeter. My name is Vincent. Friends sometimes call me Vin", Vin responds.
When Elthana is led away, he looks to Muir and Griff, not sure whether they should do something or not. This was not part of the plan. The whole point was that they should stay together. But he doesn't know what has been said to Elthana. Nothing he heard. She just seems to be going along with it.
"Are you sure you can't accompany us? Your presence has been...reassuring", he says to her before she is out of earshot.
"she has her own orders, above her station to deny them I'm afraid..." Keeter says resigned to the task. Elthana's wyvern there's to the griffin begins to pick up speed, before she can answer, speed that would be unattainable for either Griff or Bry'ze, it seems the griffon riders goggles aren't just for show, but nonetheless, Elthana is gone for now.
Your smaller group is led to one of the inlets, past the patrolling hulks without issue and into large corridors big enough for giants to walk comfortably through. The griffon and the giant eagle land and start walking instead, though neither of the Goliath's make any suggestions to vin that he cannot stay atop his broom. In fact none dismoit as the flying creatures instead begin walking you to your destination, claws clattering on crystal floors as you go.
There are several people in the corridors, some black cloaked guards, a couple of hulks, oddly also some white robed monks? Either way they are clad in white with wraps on their arms and legs and have odd equipment strapped neatly to their belts. It is not long before you approach a massive set of double doors and Keeter gives a knock.
They swing open of their own accord and there is a lone griffon guarding the door, it sees jeeter and gives passage. Inside the room a large throne can be seen at the back, atop which sits a large dark skinned djinn woman with flames licking up her skin and coursing through her hair. A half circular brazier is set into the floor extending around the back of her and it burns with flames high. In front of the throne stands Sam buttnaked for some reaon, another feather marked guard with more feathers than Keeter seems to have adorning his armour, Gewyn (clothed), Vinghov, and Ömertyr. Sitting near the throne is also a golden skinned man, with a bald head and light in his eyes, he looks miserable, in sone sort of stage of grief.
Sam and Gwyn you turn to see vin enter on Bry'ze, Griff, and Muir without any of his items or armour a stick under one arm hoisting him upright as he rides atop a giant eagle. This small group that just entered are flanked on either side by two Goliath griffon riders complete with their griffons, though they vow their heads in reverence, giving shenoh a three stage salute and then wait outside as the doors close.
Gewyn is standing formally with his arms folded behind his back. When he turns to see the new arrivals, relief floods his face. “Thank the realms you are okay,” Gewyn says, breaking composure and moving to be by their side. “Or at least somewhat okay. What happened to you? I haven’t gotten a straight answer out of Sam yet. And where…” he leans over to get a better look. “Where is Ira?”
Vin dismounts from Bry'ze and bows to the Djinn he recognises as Shenoh, and then inclines his head to Vinghov.
He looks around the room for Mori, becoming fearful that two Mori's might be heading to their chambers.
"It is an honour to be in your presence", he says, making sure to be respectful and acknowledge Shenoh before answering Gewyn. "I hope my companions have done enough to assure you we are here as allies".
Looking at Gewyn, he replies softly, "Well you know the reason we were required to turn back during the first journey. We were once again detained at Ömetyr's pack, where we found Muir badly injured. We were then brought here. Now we need to know the state of things before saying more".
Shenoh sets a large book to one side as the rest of the group enter and the party is reunited. "I understand that Mori's soldiers were warned of your arrival and precautions taken to detain you all, once gewyn helped me see the legitimacy of his claim and was warned what Mori was up to, I sent out my personal platoon to rescue you all, you have my sincere apologies for the treatment you received upon arriving. I will see to it that the necessary sanctions are doled out, but as of now Mori is still under investigation for her ties to a serious murder and plotting against the realm of Thaeir itself. Right now we are awaiting the arrival of a cleric who can reverse the effects of a memory alteration spell that gewyn here performed upon Vinghov."
The golden skinned man hoists himself up, wiping tears from his shining white eyes and father's himself, having taken some tine to recover from what he saw in the crystal ball. "I can do it. Vinghov, if you'll allow". Vinghov gives a nod and approaches whilst the party are still discussing their next move. Sol double checks the book before extending out both arms, he takes Vinghov by each hand, breathing in deeply Sol mutters a chant and divine light begins to glow within vinghov's chest, shooting up toward his head and intensifying to a blinding shine. The spell completes and vinghov opens his eyes, glancing over to gewyn with a smirk, "you certainly pulled one over on me, but your alterations are gone..."
“Glad I am to hear it, Vinghov,” Gewyn smiles back. “You put up quite a fight, whether you know it or not. VIN, Muir, Griff, despite Sam’s best efforts, we here in this room are all currently allied in cause. The truth of the Vox’s fate is known, and the threat of Nivara, along with whatever involvement this ‘Mori’ has, is under investigation. I passed on as well the importance of keeping Ira safe from Nivara, since she is a pivotal part of her scheme. You speak among friends here. Now, Vinghov, is there aught to learn from your restored memories of Mori’s orders?”

Muir chats it up with the eagle....getting to know their family history, likes and dislikes, and if they're treated well.

Muir doesn’t say anything. Instead he waits for the next steps in their travels

"Out of me?" Sam bursts out, a bit exasperated. "How would I know what happened to them when they were with you last I seen them??"
Sam pauses a bit before adding "Well, except Muir. But Muir isn't really Muir. He got beat up by a mouse..."
And after another pause he decides to join Gewyn in asking "Yes, where the colourful hells is Ira???"
Vin dismounts from Bry'ze and bows to the Djinn he recognises as Shenoh, and then inclines his head to Vinghov.
