Vin smiles as Daudi confirms she will ally with them against Nivara.
"I am glad to hear that, Daudi. And I am sorry for my sharp words earlier", he says earnestly.
With that said, he looks across to the exit Daudi gestures towards, and with a quick motion for Neferox to follow he moves across to it. He is eager to see Morris again, even though the news might not be great.
Elthana bows to Daudi, glad for her addition to their growing army. She looks at Ometyr and tries to ascertain his thoughts on all of this. She thinks about asking Ingram, but decides against it as it won't change anything at the moment.
She follows Vin down the exit towards Morris and hopes he thinks she is ready this time.
Daudi smirks at Vin as he walks away, "I mean no offence when I say this child, but it takes more than sharp words to hurt one who has done nothing but use them against herself for centuries... I wish you luck."
As the group leaves Ömertyr stays for a moment longer, and the two speak in giant their voices echoing down the dark stone corridor as you all ascend. This time the candles illuminating one side of the corridor are unflickering and your shadows return to their normal selves, behaving as ones shadow should.
At the top of the ascending corridor there is a wooden door.
A latch clicks at Gewyn's knocks and the door swings open to reveal two piercing yellow eyes peeling from behind a restraining mask as a cloaked red figure towers filling the entire doorway. "Why the **** are you coming in the back door!? That damn bird is gonna have a shit time trying to get around this place" Xazgan asks in a highly accusing and petulant tone.
"Come on in! Come in!" Morris' familiar elderly voice rings out from further in the bar, and the group are able to enter a cellar looking room and then climb up a short ladder appearing behind the counter in the bar room of the world tree tavern.
The setup looks remarkably exactly the same, the branches above wind their way around the beams of the ceiling, but the ceiling looks ever so slightly higher than before, the booths are set up and ready for an afternoon rush which is nowhere in sight, and through the high windows along side the raised entrance you can all see the surface of Daudi's isle, the other crypt entrances and a bit of movement in the scattered remnants of the stone Golems. The tavern is empty aside from the group, Morris, Xazgan (who seems to have grown since you last saw her) and some skittering movements and glints of armour from a squirrel above "What brings your group back to the world tree tavern? Where's Sam gone? Who's the new guy?" Morris asks quickfiring questions at you all and gesturing to Ingram who looks positively shocked.
Muir smiles at Morris “Hello There. This is Ingram. He’s been very helpful in our most recent leg of this journey. As for Sam, he felt it best to find himself, hopefully in the realm of earth. It seems we are stuck between several poor choices regarding Nivara snd this realm”
Elthana takes hold of the ring and holds Gewyn's wrist as she thanks him. She looks to Spyro and smiles, it is a sad smile as it is all she can muster, but she finds that the dragon gives her hope amongst all the chaos. Giving her friend's wrist a gentle squeeze she lets go of him and follows him into the tavern once he has the door opened.
The warmth of the tavern makes her feel a bit better almost immediately. She recalls the drinks he had doled out to all of them and it makes her mouth water a bit. But then the memory of killing Sam's Molly rushes at her unbidden and her knees wobble a bit, reliving it hitting her hard.
She follows the group in, but hangs back a bit. She isn't ready after that recollection and waits for Morris to address her.
Vin moves through the cellar and up the ladder, summoning Neferox to him if she is too large to get up.
"You've grown", he says to Xazgan as they walk. "How is it you gain power stuck away in this tavern?", he asks, curious to know as the normal methods of demons gaining powers seemed unlikely.
Neferox simply glares at Xazgan.
When they find Morris, Vin smiles broadly at him.
"Great to see you again, Morris. We were in the neighbourhood and thought it rude not to pop by. And seeing as we are here, perhaps you could grant us the benefit of your wisdom once more. And supply us with some hot chocolate or the like".
As the group make their way to the 'customer' side of the bar it is glaringly obvious that there is literally nothing stowed behind the bar, the only glass in sight is the one Morris seems to be perpetually polishing.
"I've aged, you could benefit from doing the same" Xazgan hisses at Vin before she stops off and grabs a brush to begin sweeping up aggressively after the groups arrival.
"Hot chocolate it is!" Morris exclaims and brings out several steaming pewter mugs, with a semi gelatinous white foam on top. He ducks another hand down behind the counter and brings up a type of grinder to powder the tops of the mugs with a sweet bitter bean. "Find himself?" The aspect of death asks Muir a little confused, but with a glance at Elthana he changes the subject. "Hard choices eh?, well I am nothing of not a fountain of information, what can I help you all with?"
Vin is more curious as to how Xazgan has grown so much by simply aging rather than being offended by her words, simply muttering in reply, "I am trying, one day at a time".
"How long has it been for you here since we last visited?", he asks Morris as he accepts the hot chocolate and takes a tentative sip.
He looks to Muri and Elthana, allowing them to respond to Morris before he asks anything else more pertinent.
Elthana gladly takes the mug of hot chocolate and blows on the top of it. She gives him a thankful look as he doesn't push the Sam topic. Seeing that he is looking at her when he asks how he can help, she sighs.
"You told me last time we met, I was not ready to meet my... well... Nivara. Am I now?" She almost continues on with stipulations and mumbling questions, but decides to stop at that and see how he responds first.
Muir trying to be better at reading people and thinking of things other than the riddle notices the look between Morris and Elthana. He stays quiet and lets her ask her questions
" oh we've been here and there, you know time works differnetly in each realm and sometimes not at all, but personally for myself it's been but a few months since last we spoke. " there is an irritated squeak from the rafters but Morris ignores it as he watches with a grin as Vin takes a sip. The hot chocolate its thick like a milkshake, creamy and rich with an almost perfect level of sweetness to balance the bitterness of the mixed beans and the texture of the foam head is like nothing Vin has had before, it is truly an indulgent drink, that warms the nose before it warms the body, Vin feels his muscles relaxing, feels stress fall off of his shoulders "you enjoy that, the recipe was lost an eon ago, but the dead don't forget" he states before turning to listen to Elthana.
Coming out from behind the bar with a sigh morris touches Elthana on the shoulders getting her to stand up straight before taking her hands by the fingertips and getting a good look at her, "you have found allies and lost allies, you have grown in your understanding and skill... but you are not ready... the question I ask you in return is, Are you going to let that stop you?"
Vin nods to Morris as he explains that it has been a month since he personally saw them, but is still confused. Xazgan had grown so much, so had it been longer for her? He drops it as Morris responds to Elthana and asks her if she will stop.
It is a question he is eager to know the answer to as well. Because if it won't stop Elthana, then he is all in as well.

Gewyn hands the ring over to Elthana. "Just a precaution," he restates. "We're not going to let you die."
He ascends the corridor, approaching the door. He looks back to the others first, and then turns and raps his knuckles against the wood four times.
A latch clicks at Gewyn's knocks and the door swings open to reveal two piercing yellow eyes peeling from behind a restraining mask as a cloaked red figure towers filling the entire doorway.
