"death waits for no man" Morris chuckles at vin's request and makes a squeaking noise at the ceiling. "Ratosk will see to it that you get your reading time friend, and any rest you all might need at that..."
As the hot chocolate flows everyone feels much better after the fight against the Golems and grims, (+20 temp hp, remains until it is gone)
Muir continues to sit and relax with the hot chocolate letting the others say their piece. He waits as if laying an ambush….Of course his ambush is 97,467 questions
Muir looks at the others who seem content so he saddles up the bar
“It’s nice to see you again…How all knowing are you? I guess what I mean is do you keep tabs on us? Know of our adventure? You asked about Sam and why he isn’t here so I wonder….but that leads me to what we’ve learned and my next question. Vox loves but not really. She has a box in her head that we assume is holding the phylactery which can be opened only by a song known by Nivara and Elthana….i worry that this is a trap of sorts…what can you tell us?”
"I only know what you have been up to from your own reports, and from the memories of those around you who have passed. For example there was a shenohan who watched you fighting vampires at the core, assisting in the push back. Many died that day... I also have the memory of the fight you all undertook in the mountains of hokum, the stupor that the poor hunter was under when he took orders from Rynwell and eventually got killed by your group. Though I warn you, though I have the memories of all passed, not all are available to you. That's the way it has to be.
Vox I have to rely upon you for information there, she is not alive but not dead, her memories are her own. As for the lullaby I could tell you more perhaps if I heard it?"
Morris listens to the recounting of the song, or Elthana's rendition if provided and he thinks for a moment before beginning to hum along too. "That is an old one, it's from my realm too, a song sang to shadar-kai children specifically, I have no memory of it being sung in recent times, hm... a lullaby that has been lost to time. Used as a passphrase by a being that has evaded death for many many hundreds of years. I can see why she thinks that would be a safe bet. She likely didn't count on Elthana being a by product of her lichdom, which is when she must have set the pass phrase right?"
At mentions of Ratosk organising his reading time, Vin looks up to the rafter assuming that is where the Ratosk the squirrel is.
"Hello Ratosk. I hope you heard that, because there is no time like the present, if you don't mind", he says politely to what is hopefully Ratosk. If there is somewhere he should go, or even just a comfy chair Ratosk points to, he will take up the offer and leave Muir to ask his questions.
Neferox moves away looking bored at the thought of Vin planting his face back in the book that has so occupied him.
Ratosk does indeed scamper down from the branches in the beams on the ceiling, he makes his way quickly to a perch on the door, and works a little mechanism with his tiny hand.
In the booth vin can see the golems gathering themselves once more slow to a snails pace, their movement almost imperceptible. A few tweaks and the squirrel gives vin a thumbs up and scampers back to his hidey hole
“It’s what we believe to be true but I can’t help feel that we are walking into a trap…maybe not the box but perhaps something else. She knows we are here and has known, she made Elthana attack one of the djinns, and haunts her dreams….On top of that we need a magical weapon to destroy the phylactery…I’m unsure if one of ours that we currently have will do the trick…..It’s also my belief that the reason Elthana woke was because Nirvara “died” and became undead and to complete the total transformation she needs the piece of her stored in Elthana.” Muir stops for a breath
“Mmhmm indeed indeed…I’ve also been trying to recreate the timeline to help solidify these assumptions perhaps you can listen to this as well
“You see Elthana “alived” 25 years ago in our time which I then can assume Nivara became a lich around the same time. Nivara came to Theair 1000 years ago, asks for box a couple hundred, possibly 50 years ago and becomes a Lich...the destruction of isle and lumithor closer to 1000…but the mornlyf and death of Vox….I still struggle with how she defeated a near God without being a lich and fooled all the djinn into creating mornlyf and thus the ingredients needed for her ritual and undead army…..I know…why does this matter, but you see it does matter to understand who we are facing…She defeated a god prior to becoming a lich or at least fooled her…”
Morris muses on this for a while, before drawing in a deep breath, "...when I was whole, and the Shadowfell was still our throne, high vampires were a powerful nuisance, one that nectyran would take advantage of many times. Long lived and cunning but with specific limitations especially in places like the material plane with it's sun god... However I think the problem you're having here is your assumption that Vox Tontritor was a god. The timeline works out when one considers the amount of time it would take to collect together the knowledge and then things that are needed to complete a lich ritual. But vox was not a god, perhaps a god to the people of this realm, a reason for which the realm exists, it certainly is a reason to be thanked and worshipped. But there is a difference between the gods and the primordials. Vox is one of the original primordials. This means her life could not be ended by natural means but it did not make her a god from my perspective certainly..."
Vin gives Ratosk a quick salute and finds somewhere to settle down for the next many hours to read.
A thought does Occur to him and he interjects it absently into the conversation between Muir and Morris.
"Are we sure she spent all that time in Thaeir? If she left for any reason then she would be back to hundreds of years planning not a thousand. Give some orders and then hop out of Thaeir for a decade whilst her minions get to work at quadruple speed".
"death waits for no man" Morris chuckles at vin's request and makes a squeaking noise at the ceiling. "Ratosk will see to it that you get your reading time friend, and any rest you all might need at that..."

“Oh im not much of a singer but can recount it for you unless Elthana would like to?”
Muir will sing the song if Elthana does not.
Morris listens to the recounting of the song, or Elthana's rendition if provided and he thinks for a moment before beginning to hum along too.
