Morris' smile grows with a prideful curl in the corners, as he looks to Gewyn "well I offered you access to a memory or memories which could help you on your travels... I believe it was you who refused and asked for a blessing of death instead. I merely acquiesced" he leans on to the bar again, becoming overly interested. "How much do you know of what you are?"
Xazgan casts a look over her shoulder at vin, bits of ceiling beam raining down upon her as her horns carve a path against the grain of the wood. "What do you know of the hells? 'specially of loyalty there? I was killed by the lord's at a time of upheaval, they wanted out, I wouldn't let them, simple as that! What happened after that I wouldn't know, being all dead and stuff. But I do know that they held power for a long long time, demons like that don't die easy... Although... The power vacuum might have caused those left to turn on eachother."
"no, I was loyal in my duties to the highest lord, and boy was she powerful... She could control time itself, making souls suffer for an eternity in the blink of an eye... Or so I heard" Xazgan replies looking off into the distance as if remembering the good old days.
Vin nods appreciatively of the highest lord's power.
"Surely if you remained loyal to this highest lord, you should search her out. Like you said, I don't know how it works there, but surely there is a chance she would reward your loyalty by helping you make the other lords pay? I assume they were trying to flee the wrath of this highest lord which is why they wanted through the gate in the first place? You said it was a time of upheaval, a rebellion of some sort?", he muses.
"I don't know, I was guarding my gate... I can only guess that the lord's had the balls to challenge Roxs'hian's rule if they'd taken her off the board first... I'd never seen those power crazed ******** work together before.. it was... Unnatural" Xazgan shudders in disgust as she remembers and then looks back over to vin. "What's it to you anyway? I never asked for your help...".
Neferox raises and growls at the demon's insolence, stepping out from under the booth table that she'd been lying under.
Vin listens attentively, and places a hand on Neferox when she comes out growling at Xazgan's final comment.
"It's ok, Nef. She's angry and hurting. I think it does her good to talk about it", he says to Neferox.
"I guess it is just in my nature to be inquisitive and want to help, like it is in your nature to be angry. So if Roxs'hian was taken off the board, why did the lords need to flee? Surely they had won at that point", he asks.
"you've clearly never been to the hells..." Xazgan chuckles, not making any note of his assumption on her nature. "Everyone is vying for souls, stealing power from one another, slaves and armies, it's a vicious and never ending circle of power and pain, torture and treachery... But outside that, in the material, there lies true power, more souls than one could bleed into submission for a lifetime, and more room to grow ones power without much resistance..."
"Roxs'hian denied the other lords access to the material plane to keep them weaker and subservient to her. Smart move. So the lords killed her, then you, and escaped to the material plane. But if you are still alive, then Roxs'hian is likely alive as well. And she will be just as mad at those lords as you are, if not more. And if the gate comes back, she will be able to go and find them. It may be growing up on the material plane, but if one side makes an alliance, it stands to reason you need to make a stronger one to take them down. Just saying".
"I can't trust whatever she has become..." Xazgan takes a deep breath, and turns in her chairs finally facing vin and looking at him properly. "Before they killed me they told me that she disappeared... That they had had every right to take her off her throne after her relations with that angel... I don't trust what they said, but she did leave so I don't trust her either... I can take my own revenge and it won't be against just the lords... Roxs'hian deserves to suffer too."
Neferox once again growls this time with teeth bared and hackles up, but Xazgan takes no notice.
Vin ignores Muir, so caught up in Xazgan's account of what happened.
"Relations with an angel? That was what they came up with to unite the lords against her? Sounds made up to me", he says almost dismissively.
He pats Neferox again, trying to keep her calm.
"Well, good luck in that. It has been what, a thousand years for the lords of hell to grow their power in the material plane? And a thousand years for Roxs'hian to plot her own revenge, and muster her allies. Or soldiers, or whatever. Perhaps they will kill each other and you can just watch", he says with a chuckle.
Muir is now unsure what Vins play is…is he messing with Xaz or does he not know? Muir is now uncertain of the story was told to Vin prior to his death or after….Muir looks at Nef who clearly knows since they told Muir….”But Vin you surely know…..” he stops himself and looks at Nef again
Vin looks to Muir, smiles and puts a finger up indicating for him to wait a moment, then turns back to Xazgan. The finger still up to hopefully stop Muir from speaking and wait just a minute.
He waits to see if Xazgan will respond.
Neferox has her eyes locked on Xazgan, although the growling and teeth baring subsides for now. She briefly looks to Muir but also turns her attention back to Xazgan.
"time is not a constant in the hells... Your plane puts labels on such things, we deal in eternities... Her relations put the entire hierarchy of hell into limbo, ancient prophecies put the rules in place that she broke... She was maybe taken, maybe ran, the demon lords wanted to kill her for risking everything... Every fiend in hell wanted to kill her for risking everything... If she's smart she'll be somewhere no fiend could find her. The lord's are my main quarry " Xazgan Huff's and turns away once more putting an end to the boy's poking questions and incessant opinions
"Well good luck against the lords then", Vin replies, before closing the book and turning to Muir.
"Yes, I know, you wanted to have a private chat. Ready when you are", he says to the Loxodon, looking to Gewyn and Morris to see whether they are still deep in conversation.
Muir quietly asks Vin “I’m sorry but do you remember your lineage or was that before you were resurrected? I can’t remember or tell if you were messing with the demon or have forgotten. I do apologize if you were uhh fishing”
Vinwhispers back to Muir making sure there is no lip reading going on, "I am quite aware, thanks Muir. You can whisper a short reply that is private, and I can message you as many times as it takes, but what do you know about it?".
(OOC Possibly worth moving to discord private channel for this?)
Morris gives Vin a nod to his whisper and carries on the conversation he is having with Gewyn.
When Vin is ready Morris will peel off into two identical Morrisees enabling him to have a private discussion without leaving the general discussion with the group.
"Well,"Gewyn says, half attending to the conversation happening between Vin and Xazgan, "I know I have a destiny. And a choice to make. I know I am born to royalty, and I know I have become... something of a nexus of fae forces. Know ye of the triskellion?"

"You're right, what do I know?", Vin replies, considering what Xazgan has said.
"But if the lords of hell wanted out, why didn't you just let them out? Were you not loyal to them?", he asks with a frown.
"no, I was loyal in my duties to the highest lord, and boy was she powerful... She could control time itself, making souls suffer for an eternity in the blink of an eye... Or so I heard" Xazgan replies looking off into the distance as if remembering the good old days.

"Ah, I think I understand", Vin replies.

Muir coughs at Vin wondering what he’s doing….Does this Vin remember his lineage Muir wonders

When Vin is ready Morris will peel off into two identical Morrisees enabling him to have a private discussion without leaving the general discussion with the group.
Vin pats Muir on the back, and gores over to Morris, motioning for Neferox to follow, and waits to be a led to a private area.
If Morris leads the way, they will both follow.
"Won't be long", he says to the others.
