Muir listens to Vin and looks around "This is definitely not the undead Nivarra's doing. Look at the statues...They were caught with fear in their eyes. These are not sculpted or art these are beings caught and turned this way. Look at that one there...the sheer fright caught in their eyes."Muir turns to a different statue "That one has a look of surprise....these are beings trapped. Ice....the short ones are trapped below the ice. This is a courtyard that was frozen over and beings turned into statues."
"Hector, does Gojiin have elemental powers? Does he perhaps have control over the cold?", he asks, suspecting that the mad djinn has done this to his own people.
"it's certainly possible, and at this point I'd say more than likely." The muffled voice of hector emanates from within his bundled cloak "but why would a djiin turn away from their people?"
Elthana and Gewyn do see, as vin points it out, that there looks to be structures under the ice, a crystal path that has a deep recess on either side. The recesses, that Muir is now standing over, that were likely once filled with water but due to freezing and expansion have at some point flooded and then completely solidified the entire courtyard,
As Muir gestures to the statues he is closest to a crack spider webs out from beneath his feet, though the sound is dampened by Elthana's arcane camouflage. (Muir throw me a DC 16 Dex save)
The ice under the crack begins to creep up Muir's foot, it doesn't seem to be thin ice, but there is a magic about it which is more than threatening. before it can fasten him to the ground and make him a statue, muir makes a leap to one side, away from the forming cracks which now look to be freezing over once more. The wind whips at your clothing and stings your faces as Muir rejoins the group and hector begins making his way a little quicker toward the spire. "We need to get off this ice, now!"
As hector hurries he is able to become momentarily light on his feet, a remnant of his vampiric ways, he closes 60ft of the remaining 210ft to the steps at the entrance of the spire.
(This is gonna be turn based but not necessarily initiative as there is no enemy. You have 210ft to cross and the ice is trying to get you, I'll need Dax saves for movement with higher DC's for dashing. Everyone is up!)
"Daudi said that she knew what happened to Vox some time ago and told Gojiin, and that sent him mad. I assume this was the result of that madness", Vin replies to Hector before he and Neferox quickly fly towards the steps of the spire.
The cold wind starts to sting as they do so though, and Vin tucks in behind Neferox to try and shield himself from the brunt of it.

As the realization dawns on them as to what is going on in the courtyard, Elthana shudders. Who are they trying to talk to? Is this completely futile? She runs her fingers through her hair as she turns and sees the ice attempt to freeze Muir to his spot.
Flight is the way to go apparently.
She runs her 45 ft, uses her action to dash another 45 ft and a ki point to bonus action dash 45 ft. = 135 ft
Muir not wanting to be caught in this crystalizing ice wild shapes into a Giant Vulture. Does he surprise his friends when he screeches loudly instead of his typical shimmering shimmer? Possibly. He flies ahead 60 feet but not before reaching out and grabbing Elthana, who took off running, off the ice and carrying her with him.
Gewyn watches with horror as the ice tries to crawl up Muir's leg. Then, he hastily hops up into the air, strumming a chord on his cittern. Frost crackles as his boots leave the ground, and the arc of his jump turns into flight as he sails headfirst towards safety
With everyone aside from hector now in the air the group no longer needs to worry about the ice reaching up to grab them, but something else becomes overwhelmingly obvious, the wind lashing at them as they speed through the air is coming directly from the spire, out in all directions, and it freezes the faster they try to go.
Vin shielded by Neferox feels a heat that does not come from the hellfire of the demon in front of him, this heat comes from within himself, a divine light, a moment of realisation. He shakes off the biting cold for now, but knowing that he might not have been able to if it was not for his father. The pair lead the group, only having another 130ft to safety.
Elthana tries to dash and would have gotten further if not for the transformed druid that lifts her away from the reach of the ice below, still at this slightly slower speed she can keep a better eye on hector and not leave him behind. The brother that she never had, who for reasons selfish or not was willing to accept her as she is, as a second chance at a sister, or the hope of something good.
Gewyn, bounds upward with the same gracefulness that the group have only ever seen from the seasonal monarch of the Fae, he sends himself flying forward as the apex of his leap becomes forward momentum with no loss of height at all. Himself, Muir, Elthana and Hector all have 150ft to go before being able to get out of this wind.
Hector seeing the group follow his advice of leaving the ice, also jumps up, though not as graceful. His wobbly ascent into the air brings him 60ft closer to his goal, but the build up of cold and wind becomes too much and he falters. He comes crashing down on the ice prone and cracks shatter out from his point of impact. (Con save 12 fail)
(Hector is currently prone and will need to make a Dex save next turn before he continues as the ice begins to try to consume him. For flight you guys are gonna need to make a Con save for every 100ft travelled which means the only person who needs to make that save this turn is Muir, depending on what you all do next. Anyone landing or travelling on the ice for Hector's sake or otherwise will need to make the Dex save again.)
Elthana temps in surprise as Muir takes hold of her and she lifts off the ground. Feet dangling in the air, she is relieved to find Green flying as well and brings her focus to following Hector.
She cries out as she sees him fall and she twists around to look at the creature Muir has become. “Please, drop me and pick up my brother. I can handle the ice, I can’t handle losing him again.”
Vin turns back to see what is happening, notices Elthana and vulture Muir stop to help Hector, and so decides to get to safety quickly so he can provide cover if needed.
And so he and Neferox carry on towards the steps next to the spire. Neferox continues to try to shield Vin from the biting cold wind.

Gewyn continues to soar ahead, though he seems to restrain his speed somewhat, not wanting to leave everyone too far behind. He continues to play his cittern while his pipes howl against his chest from the wind. He fingers are slowly starting to stiffen from the cold, and he can feel the steel strings digging into his fingers, but he plays on.
Gewyn flies forward another 60 ft, granting 5 temp hp and a reaction movement to whichever 5 are furthest behind
Neferox nearly at the stairs becomes over burdened as icicles form all over her fur, she comes crashing down a mere 10ft from the steps. The ice breaks fully near the steps and the creeping cold begins to take her almost immediately (Dex save for me at the start of her next turn)
As Muir swoops down and allows Elthana to hop off and sprint forward, the cold gets to Muir, his vulture wings freezing and sending him sprawling to the ground besides hector, the already cracked ice starting to splinter further.
The ice begins to climb their limbs, but as Gewyn flies by his music vibrates through the pair in the back, as they gain reactionary movement Muir is able to lift off the ground, powerful wings throwing the growing icicles from him and as he hovers ready to let hector jump on, the old man breaks free and hops up two handa grasping to the vultures feet.
Not wanting to weigh Muir down hector inverts his gravity toward the spire, his feet dangling forwards he let's go of Muir and falls past Gewyn, Elthana and past Vin and nef who are the nearest to the spire. He falls forward at such a speed that it looks like hector is about to become paste on the side of the spire, but just before that happens he casts a spell upon himself, one that's stops him just before he is about to collide, levitate saves him from certain death.
(Everyone who is still flying and has done two con saves can safely get to the stairs by the spire doors, Elthana is 90ft from safety. Muir with his added reaction movement is 60ft from safety)
Elthana blanches as Muir crashes down beside her. But gets going again once the giant vulture gets up and gets her brother off the ice. Barely noticing what the others are doing, she dashes as fast as she can to get out of there.
Muir always hating the cold briefly succumbs to it. Not wanting to let the old vampire non vampire outdo him; he shakes off the ice and flies towards the stairs 16 com save
Vin watches as Neferox succumbs to the cold, biting wind and drops to the ice, but he does not stop as he rushes for the steps to the spire. As he gets there he immediately turns Bry'Ze around, not even landing as he reaches out for Neferox.
On the floor, Neferox finds herself unable to resist the initial spreading of ice but doesn't quite feel it as much as she might. As she growls in pain she suddenly disappears. A fraction of a second later she appears at Vin's side.
Neferox shakes the icicles that had formed on her fur off, and scans the area around them for signs of danger or for the source of the wind and ice.
Vin Reaction: Grant Neferox resistance to the damage she takes Movement: 50ft to the steps and turn around to face the way he came Action: Summon Neferox to his side
Gewyn touches down lightly on the stairs. Muir scrambles and makes it. Vin summons Neferox just as she takes 12 cold damage, the icicles having pierced the skin of her legs, Hector is still hovering 20ft from the spire his orientation 90⁰ towards the group and he drops, landing with a tud on the wall next to the door before reorienting himself. The group watch as Elthana dashed forward 10ft, 20ft, gaining ground quickly, hopping over the shattering ice, but then she snags on something. 30ft from the door, from safety, one leg stops, just as the other lifts, her forwards momentum throws the weight of her body sprawling forward, prone. The ice has her foot, but quickly begins solidifying up to her knee, (10 cold damage)
"Ok folks, apparently there are barracks in the wall we just came through, back by the gate. Neferox can see movement, so someone knows we are here", Vin says to the others as he watches Elthana.
"You ok, Elthana?" he asks, knowing how capable she is and not wanting to assume she needs any help.
Elthana grits her teeth as the cold seeps in to her bones. She hits the ice with her fist in frustration and as she hears Vin, she doesn't look up to him, but holds up a finger in the 'wait a minute' gesture.
She then tries to get out of the ice, Strength check: 13
