Gewyn finds the shape of the Sylph's tongue as a half-remembered song. Speaking back in sylvan, he says "It is my pleasure to meet you, Wren Cloudhop. You may call me Gewyn, heir to Mireah, sister of Spring. We too would like to learn of what happened here."He looks over to Muir and Elthana for an indication of whether there is any hope for the frozen Sylph.
"heir? Oh yes we would very much like to find out what happened here too, the courtyard became impassable a long time ago, some of my people were caught in the initial blast. My lady Urchin needs to know the fate of the djiin." Wren replies now less scared by the group's presence. She exits the window alighting back onto the ice and approaches Gewyn and vin, casting a wary eye at Neferox.
Answering Elthana "The frozen one seems to be a kin or at the very least someone familiar to this Sylph. It is hard to say in these kinds of fae but safe to say there is a connection. Sadly, same as the Djinn they are soulless..."
With that Muir walks towards the others and in Sylvan introduces himself "Hello There! I am Muir, Keeper of the Wood, friend to fae, and guest of this realm. I am sorry your friend over there frozen to death. It seems whatever happened here killed everyone...."Muir pauses to allow a moment of grief before asking "You mention a Lady Urchin, may I ask who that is?"
Vin waits in silence for those more familiar with fae creatures to do the talking. He does looks to Spyro though, trying to encourage him to carry on interpreting.
Elthana nods in agreement with Muir's assessment of the one frozen in the ice. She looks around to the others that seemed to have perished as well. She asks Muir, "Can you ask her what happened a long time ago? Why the courtyard became impassible? Or maybe this Lady Urchin knows."
Spyro indeed continues translating for Vin and Elthana. The sylph continues with a feverish nervousness "woods? There are no woods here, are you all lost? Oh there was a blast, long ago, I was tending to my lady Urchin. We were out in the barracks but this place became impassable, we stayed nearby, my lady Urchin is so very loyal to the djiini here. I don't know what she would do if he died, her last master died too, but we do not know if it is safe. I would very much like to know what happened too! Are you sure my friend there is dead? I was hoping to ask her"
Spyro cocks his flowery little head to one side and asks the group in common, "Urchin? Master died? Does that sound familiar to anyone else?"
Muir looks at Spyro suspiciously, figuring that Spyro at least recognizes who or what the Sylph means...Muir knows he has answers and takes out his notebook. He looks through page after page groaning and muttering
"I know it is here"
He finally blurts out "AH HA! Yes now I have it pieced together.....Spyro was the ward of spring and recognizes Lady Urchin's name yes? That's because Lady Urchin served the sister of winter, Tialha, who no one knows how she died. Interesting that Lady Urchin would end up here, the same place Mireah ended up but I digress. Lady Urchin has found herself working for a Djinn who seemingly also had an affinity to ice, perhaps, and now they have died due to their grief because of Daudi's story. As for your friend...Your friend has no soul, so unless the soul is returned to her which is beyond my abilities, she is gone."
All of the colour drains from Wren's face as Muir happily and rather insensitively dumps that information on her lap. "Gojiin is dead? My friend is dead? I..." She looks to the floor, through the floor, a thousand yard stare of sheer shock that lets no emotion through. She looks like she might vomit, her wings flutter a little haphazardly as she takes herself back over to the window in the wall, nearly slamming herself against the sides as she climbs through and disappears into the darkness beyond.
Elthana smacks Muir on the arm, "Can you be any more insensitive? She's just a child! And how do you know the dijiin here died because of Daudi's story? I feel that might be a reach? Could be, but an assumption at best."
She shakes her head at Muir but doesn't move to go console the child, she had no repore with her before so she is hoping Gewyn might be able to or Spyro.
“Oh well his grief killed him. You see those wind elementals back there were caused by his death..his grief…I wanted to some how trap them or stop the battle but well ….he’s dead for sure now…..” Muir says in common before switching to Sylvan for the Sylph “Your friend is soulless…there are magics that could help but not mine. It’s too late for me to help. Perhaps if you help us and lady urchin helps you will be rewarded by a different djinn or god or goddess”
"In fairness, Muir, you stopped fighting and got walloped for your trouble", Vin replies.
"Anyway, I am not really sure what is happening with Lady Urchin, or where know her from. My memory is fuzzy on that. Are you suggesting she can be of use in the fight against Nivara?", he asks.
He also lets Wren disappear without chasing. He can't communicate with her, and only knew what had been said after she ran off, when Spyro translated.
Muir rubs his head "Indeed, I did get quite a bonking but it doesn't change the fact that the Djinn was splatted onto the floor, sadly in pieces. As for old Vin, he did not know anything about Lady Urchin unless he kept it a secret, but that is unlikely seeing that Lady Urchin is from the Fae world and ended up here. So worry not about your memory in this case Vincent. As for the fight against Nivara, more allies could not hurt since we did come here looking for help.
"Well an ally sounds like something to stick around for. She said Lady Urchin was in the barracks, right, Spyro?", Vin says.
He looks across the courtyard to the windows by the gate they first came through.
"Do you think those are the barracks?", he asks, pointing over to what he thinks are barracks.
(OOC: Not sure where we are exactly right now, we might be by the windows by the front gate already. Wren may have flown into the barracks even. Where are we boss?)
Elthana listens to the rest, frustrated with Muir, but watches Hector to see his reaction of her friend's basic accusation of what they just did. But then follows the rest towards the barracks.
Hector knows what he knows and has said his piece on the matter of the djiin returning to spirit form, what is done is done. He follows the group as they make their way to the opening in the wall and enter the barracks.
Inside the darkened room the group finds that the walls are slick with the remnants of cold. A fluttering betrays the direction that wren escaped further in and out of sight, a mumbling confirms the suspicions as the language of the Fae echoes through corridor and bounces off crystal walls though the meaning seems to be absorbed. As the group move closer the language clears up and a response is delivered through a sharp and chittering tone, understood by those who speak the language, "calm my child, this is an outcome that we knew was a likelihood, gojiin is gone, your kin along with him, we will confirm this now that the path is clear, and if it is so, then my vow is broken and I must find a new home... Will you come with me again? My last dear disciple."
"There's another thing, something quite unbelievable.." comes Wren's response staggered by sobs and unbearable emotion "a man here, he says he is Mireah's heir..." This time no response comes from the chittering voice, but an uneasy clatter of retreat.
Gewyn holds up a finger to the others, bidding them be silent as he swings his cittern around to his front. He starts strumming a tune of mourning, imbuing it with a calming, placating energy (calm emotions). "Wait,"he says lightly, but with a stage voice that carries. "Do not fear. Let us talk, Lady Cloudhop, Master Urchin. Let us speak of setting right whatever still can be set right."He hopes his words and soothing music will reach them before they have gotten out of range.
With the music playing the sobs and his from Wren quiet, the group round the corner and see her knelt on the floor, face turned down in shame. The frozen cavernous space has crystal tables and chairs haphazardly pushed against one wall and covered in some kind of silky membrane, seemingly to make a larger living space out of what was once an eating area for many people.
"Step forward musician, your melodies remind me of the homeland, but I hope the one of you who claims heirhood to the lands of spring has come with more proof than th-" the chittering voice comes from above Wren and in common, the group sees a massive ice spider descending the short way from the ceiling to put two protective icicle spiked legs between the group and the Sylph, but their warning is cut off as Spyro swoops in and interrupts, "URCHIN! It is you! What are you doing here!?"
Elthana's mouth drops open when she sees who is the owner of the voice talking with the little sylph. She feels a bit of terror rise up her spine as she takes in the ice spider. But as Spyro exclaims his overjoyed reaction on seeing them, she pauses, waiting to see Urchin's reaction to them.
She hopes that this is the reason they came to this island, not to find the dead body of a dijiin.

Vin follows along, but feels a bit of a passenger in this interaction, and so remains towards the back and stays quiet.
Spyro obviously recognises the big spider, and hopefully that is reciprocated and they turn out to be friends, or at least allies.
